[This reading covers the relationship dynamic between Jung Hoseok and Jeon Jungkook on a subconscious and energetic level. This particular reading can cover romantic, platonic, and familial relationships and is designed to put a connection between two people into perspective, showcasing what is gained from the relationship as well as the highest potential of it. For this reading, in particular, I had to use 2 decks — my Rider-Waite Tarot deck and The Linestrider’s Journey Tarot deck. This spread is an original design by me. This reading lasted 1 hour.]

Initial Impression (pre-reading):

A weird pair, no energetic connection - Right off the bat I was having some difficulty really tapping into their mixed energy, seeing where and how they connect. About five minutes into the meditation portion of the reading I had quickly realized that it was actually incredibly beneficial to have had done an Elemental Alignment reading for Jimin prior to his and Jungkook’s reading as it allowed me to enter Jimin’s energy a lot easier and then slide through the line of energy that connected him and Jungkook. I figured I could do the same thing since I did connect with Jungkook’s energy there, and I was able to connect with Jungkook again, but I was not able to find any line of energy between Jungkook and Hoseok. Basically, they are not energetically connected at all.

Bit of a bummer for me since that’s how I usually prefer to connect, especially for these readings where I am trying to focus on where two people meet each other energetically. I ended up getting a bit frustrated with it, started to think that maybe Hoseok just didn’t want to let anyone into his energy, but when I did separate him and Jungkook, he opened up pretty easily. I was extremely confused by this so I just went ahead and pulled some cards from my Rider-Waite Tarot deck to get some clarification on them. It was actually pretty interesting and it was a big help in figuring them out before the actual reading.

Here are the sets that I pulled:

The first question I asked was, “How do they connect?” and I got the King of Wands with the Knight of Cups. At first, I wasn’t sure if this was meant to be both of them, or if this was literally their meeting point. Either way, the first thing I wrote down for these cards was “Subconsciously”. Even now I’m not quite sure how these cards are meant to go together, but I had the sense of their ability to build up things creatively (the knight) and their ability to do and be forceful (the king) is very similar. They vibe with each other on that front.

Also, the fact that these cards came out together in such a way that the people pictured in them are facing away from each other really struck me too. (This will come up again.) In spite of their different positions and different suits, these cards do have some similarities, mainly because all the Knights in Tarot carry a bit of Wand (fire) energy. These cards are both very rigid and goal oriented, very dominant energies. Visually, I kept seeing these two energies sort of merge together then come apart over and over again, as though they came together at the points where they could fill in missing parts, but when they hit parts that they both already had they would completely come undone.

As I was reading these two cards I was still shuffling and the Temperance and the Strength cards came out together too. I didn’t think to take pictures of them because they were reading as the King and the Knight, just more extreme versions of them. Strength obviously being the King and Temperance being the Knight. Because of these two cards sort of being “transcended versions” of the original two, I figured there is a SPIRITUAL connection between them, which would be in line with a more unconscious to a subconscious level connection. It felt like a very loose soul connection could be there too. A past life connection from a few lifetimes back.

(Important note: All the members have past life connections with each other, some more than others, but they all have at least one that is tying them together and is still relevant in this lifetime.)

So, there is a line between them, they are connected, but it’s not energetic. Basically, what I’m getting from this is that they wouldn’t work well together with just the two of them on a task. I actually did try to read for their sign energy and with Hoseok being an Aquarius and Jungkook being a Virgo it can really go either way, which is probably why I didn’t try to read them in the beginning — it’s kind of pointless. BUT, the fact that one of them is a high projection energy and the other has their energy turned inward can cause some clashing when the ego (their sun signs) are at the forefront.

What you can take from this is that Hoseok and Namjoon (Virgo) work well together because Namjoon’s energy is always projecting just like his. They are able to communicate and understand each other a lot easier without really needing to explain themselves too much. Jungkook and Hoseok would clash a lot specifically over issues with communication and misunderstandings because Jungkook specifically is not as receptive to Hoseok’s projected energy.

BROTHERS — I got a heavy impression of them being brothers, and I think in that one relevant past life where they were connected they were brothers. Again, they only have one past life together that is relevant to this one and it is from at least three lifetimes ago. While I was getting this information the Temperance card came out again and I took it as them being able to offer balance to each other. Strength and Balance, these two things might be something that each of them has in their own way, while the other lacks it — those would be the gaps that they can fill in for each other, but at this point, I was still very confused about where they were clashing specifically.

The tarot card bundle — With the Temperance card out again I decided to ask specifically where these two balanced each other since I figured that maybe if I knew that I could see where they clash. I let cards fall out as they needed and I ended up getting a total of three pulls for this question. This is what I ended up with:

Why yes, that is the Strength card making an appearance again, mirroring the Temperance card… very interesting, isn’t it…

So, the first four cards underneath the Temperance card came out together and were in the order that they are displayed in. That being, Page of Cups, 10 of Swords, 10 of Pentacles, and The Tower.

Now, this is going to get a bit confusing, but this blew my mind a little bit.

The first thing I noticed with this first set was that they went in a pattern of a positive card, negative card, positive card, negative card. Initially, I was thinking that that was the balance, that they offer good and bad to each other but that literally didn’t make any sense and just thinking about it didn’t even hold any energy so, WRONG. But then I was like, okay, there’s another Cup and that goes with the Knight, so maybe the more positive ones are them specifically and the negative cards are something else that goes with the individual.

Then I had a ing epiphany. The pairing of 10 of Pentacles and The Tower seemed VERY familiar and if ing hit me like a ton of bricks. Those were the cards from Jimin and Jungkook’s relationship reading that stood out to me the most — the 10 of Pentacles being Jungkook’s view of that relationship and The Tower (reversed) being Jimin’s. So, for sure, I knew that the 10 of Pentacles was Jungkook and The Tower was something of his, and that meant that the Page of Cups was Hoseok.

Once I got that, it all started falling into place very quickly to the point where I was getting goosebumps and .

So, the 10 of Pentacles falls into Jungkook’s tendency to be very childlike, very optimistic, very hopeful. A lot of this optimism and hopefulness tends to come from the fact that he is so sheltered and taken care of, again, very childlike. I touched on it a bit in his and Jimin’s relationship reading, and I do plan on really diving into it in his Elemental Alignment reading, but for right now just know that he harbors a false sense of security that, as he gets older, has more and more moments where it just sort of falls away — The Tower.

Hoseok has the Page of Cups, the creative visionary, the one that gets the wheels turning, the ing Aquarius. Now, this energy, in particular, felt very weak, or kind of dry in a way. Like, it’s there and it’s him, but the 10 of Swords had way more… meat (?) to it. (Obviously, Aquarius is an Air sign, so I guess that makes sense.) What I saw here is pretty blatant, but his anxiety (he actually has pretty severe anxiety) sort of disrupts his ability to create and express himself fully. His ability to DO is a lot less than Jungkook’s is, while Jungkook’s ability to CREATE and be CREATIVE is a lot less than Hoseok’s.

NOW ONCE I GOT THAT LINE IN MY NOTEBOOK (yes, I was still shuffling. I shuffle the entire time I meditate) THE ING MAGICIAN AND THE FOOL FELL OUT OF THE DECK.

I was like, “Oh!”

AND THEN ING STRENGTH FELL OUT ON TOP OF THEM AND I WAS EVEN MORE LIKE “OHHHH!!”

I just really love when is obvious and clear because like… most of the time this is cryptic as hell.

Basically, Hoseok’s spirit is that of the Magician, that of the visionary, that of the creator, the one who can build new words with what is around him. Jungkook’s spirit is The Fool. He is the embodiment of freedom and confidence in the steps he takes (coming from that childlike optimism and hopefulness). Now, when you put these two together — the ability to create and the freedom to pursue — it leads you to their Strength. This is how their spirits mingle with each other, this is how they balance and help each other out.

From this, I felt that there are moments (few and far between) where they do build each other up when they meet the 10 of Swords or The Tower. Jungkook gives Hoseok the freedom and confidence to pull those swords out of him, inspires him to bypass his own anxiety, while Hoseok gives Jungkook the ability to rebuild the tower, inspires him to rebuild on new foundations and progress.

The similarity between them is that they share mindsets that are constantly brought into question by themselves. This is why they connect so well on a subconscious level.

Again, this is on a spiritual level, this does come through as INSPIRATION. It’s not coming through as a conversation or anything like that, they just get this from each other. Very nice.

So, at this point, I was feeling pretty well off and was going to go ahead and start the actual reading but I decided to ask the Rider-Waite deck if there was anything else that I needed to understand now before I started the main reading. This is what popped out:

image

We’ve got the Knight of Wands and the Page of Wands here, separated by The Lovers… if this was any more on point I’m pretty sure a black hole would have opened up on my desk.

The first thing that I noticed was that the Knight and the Page were facing away from each other, just like the King and the Knight were with the original set of cards. Obviously, the lovers depicted in the cards are facing each other. They’re not looking at each other, but they are facing each other. For me, the Lovers card has nothing to do with romance or relationships between people — this is a card of spiritual connection. So, I was like, okay, that’s the spiritual connection, the Wands must be their energy.

The Lovers card is confirmation of their spiritual connection to each other, something residual from a past life together as brothers.

Divine Masculine — This is where really came together for me. This was when I was picking up the Linestrider deck to start shuffling, getting ready to move on with the main reading. The first card to fall out of this deck was the ing Strength card and I was like… (>.>)

Then I just glanced up at Hoseok (I have posters on my wall behind my desk) and it ing hit me like a ten-ton boulder: DIVINE MASCULINE

I don’t know why, but at this point, I started making notes about Yoongi and Hoseok and I think that’s why I was able to connect with Hoseok’s energy — Yoongi and Hoseok have the strongest connection out of all the other members since they tend to balance each other on all fronts.

For Hoseok I kept getting the word “rigid” a lot. Very stoic, very stiff energy in his core, like a very, very steady stream of water with heavy pressure behind it. I feel like in their cores, both Hoseok and Jungkook, carry Divine Masculine energy — Hoseok more than Jungkook.

This is kind of confusing, but it’s like Hoseok is 100% Divine Masculine in his energy, whereas Jungkook is half, but his half seems like 100% to Hoseok’s energy. I don’t really know what that means, it’s literally like a picture of two balls — one red, the other red and blue, cut down the middle, and when the red ball turns to look at the other ball, from its perspective it looks all red… does that make sense?

I was getting the sense of it being like… territorial almost?? Like, two Divine Masculines can’t mingle together and maybe that’s why their energy doesn’t connect — again, very brotherly.

The Current States Within The Relationship:

Hoseok - Seven of Cups
Jungkook - The Chariot + Ace of Pentacles

For Hoseok, this card in this deck rings back to the Magician vibe from the previous mini-reading. It describes an individual who can dream, who can fully cook up something in their mind, an entirely new world, but can also see the difficulty in the dream, can see through the dream into cold reality, can see all the obstacles in obtaining that dream in reality. This also goes straight into the Page of Cups with the 10 of Swords — killing off his own dreams and creativity with a harsh and sometimes illogical thought process that lead to anxiety. Again, this is the creative visionary.

For Jungkook, both of these cards, just as Hoseok, go back to the previous cards aligned with him. The Chariot and the Ace of Pentacles speak of victory, confidence, a sure thing, reward — you know, like that. The Fool. There is a sense of being a “dreamer” here too, but it’s still more action-oriented, he’s still willing to DO it and that is a big facet of Jungkook’s personality.

They really don’t mesh well here even though it seems like they should. Just as I mentioned before, they fill in gaps with each other, but there are parts of them where they don’t and when those parts are noticed, they completely disconnect from each other. They both dream, but Hoseok dreams something up that he literally wants to create, like the Magician, whereas Jungkook’s dreams revolve more around what he wants to be rewarded with, what can he do to see success, how far can he physically go, like The Fool. Hoseok is more mentally oriented and Jungkook is more physically oriented.

Hoseok’s View of The Relationship:
8 of Wands (reversed) + The Hanged Man (reversed)

They are not energetically connected so quite literally this feels stagnant as hell from Hoseok’s point of view. He does have a more Masculine quality to his energy so a lot of the time his energy isn’t going to be in relationships unless it’s more in tune with someone who has Divine Feminine energy in their core (like Yoongi or Namjoon). This is from his core, it’s not from a subconscious or spirit-driven place, it is from his core. I think his core does want to drive him towards people that will allow him to progress, people that will balance him out and make those moments of anxiousness and fear come on less and less, and Jungkook isn’t that person.

I feel like this is noticeable on the surface level, like we as an objective audience to their behavior can see that they love each other dearly, as they all do, but they don’t really seem to be each other’s first choice when they need someone to talk to — I feel that way more for Hoseok though.

Jungkook’s View of The Relationship:
Page of Cups + 3 of Swords

The thing about Jungkook, or at least what I’ve noticed about him from this reading and his and Jimin’s reading, is that he’s very ing optimistic when it comes to his relationships with the other members. VERY CHILDLIKE, very trusting, he looks up to all of them, he loves all of them, he respects all of them. I really feel like from his perspective he is so small compared to them and he literally feels like they’re going to carry him around forever. I don’t really know what that means, but it’s like Hoseok “carried him around” a lot before and he doesn’t anymore. Actually, I don’t know what that means either.

The Page of Cups here, of course, is new beginnings, it’s a very hopeful and is a somewhat precious card in this deck. There’s inspiration there, a lot of potentials, and I think that’s what he sees in this relationship — inspiration and potential, things to learn. But then there’s the ing 3 of Swords there, which is like the saddest card in the ing deck. It relates to heartbreak and disappointment.

I think for Jungkook the 10 of Pentacles that keeps coming up for him, along with a lot of other things, represents his relationships with the guys. Like I mentioned in his and Jimin’s reading, he expects things to be taken care of, he expects other people to take care of him, and I think he expects his big brothers to always be his big brothers. I feel like now that he’s getting older and more and more of their energy is being put into their work, their personal relationships, like one-on-one sort of is being put off and for Jungkook this is difficult to process. I really don’t know how to explain this fully. He’s just sad because he and Hoseok used to be a lot closer than they are now, and he’s hopeful that the relationship will go back to what it was, but most likely it won’t.

This doesn’t mean that they aren’t friends, it feels more like an older brother seeing that his younger brother has grown up so he doesn’t really make an effort to play with him anymore.

Current State of The Relationship:
King of Wands

Right now most of their relationship is formed around their Divine Masculine energies, around the strength they are able to give each other to actually bring things to completion within their own situations.

I’m still getting a lot of sadness from Jungkook here though and I think it’s good to point out that this kid is a ing product of Venus, like he loves to love people, he loves to have connections, and where his core is Divine Masculine, his spirit is Divine Feminine — that’s probably even more so why he and Hoseok connect spiritually rather than energetically. This is all well and good, but Jungkook really likes to be secure in everything, he likes to feel completely grounded and this sort of relationship where they’re only connected on one level I think throws him off. Consciously speaking, I feel like he’s aware that there’s a distance between them now, but it doesn’t really affect them too much or enough for him to feel the need to bring it up.

Highest Potential:
The Fool

This is Jungkook’s card and I really felt him in this way more than Hoseok, as in he is more into driving this relationship BACK to what it was before, back to the beginning, back to The Fool. This card in this deck is more focused on the innocence of something, the freshness, the openness of a new path. This “Highest Potential” is from Jungkook’s side only, Hoseok doesn’t seem to have any sort of input here, so most likely the relationship will stay as is.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I loved doing this reading. I feel like this was the smoothest reading I’ve done in a while. In spite of all the conflicting lines between them, their energy is very chill and stable around this relationship.

I feel like everything is good here. Jungkook isn’t completely satisfied with it, but nothing here really feels all that devastating. Hoseok is still very much a big brother to Jungkook, and he does see Jungkook as his little brother, it’s just that his little brother has grown up and he’s respecting that progression. He’s not going to be the one to baby him the way Jimin does, you know?

Overall, I think they have a great relationship, one Jungkook can probably grow from having, and I think that they will always share a very familial bond between them.

Thank you so much for reading.
