appearance — jeongmin is an attractive person. to say he isn't would be to lie to yourself. his sharp, monolid eyes are the first thing to catch your attention. they're striking and give off the vibe that he's up to something. his long nose frames most of his thin face, and his wide mouth adds to it. any sort of sunlight with burn his sensitive, milky skin. if the group ever has outside activities in the summertime, he will be sure to use s as human umbrellas.he doesn't have any piercings or tattoos yet, but he eventually does after wearing a fake clip-on piercging on his bottom lip for one of their comebacks and realizing how good he looks with it and gets one on his bottom lip. jeongmin never really dyes his hear, and he likes it that way. but, if he has to do so, he prefers natural colors, like brown and even blonde.

even though it seems otherwise, as his attention always looks to be on himself, jeongmin cares for s, though no where near as much as he cares for himself. thats only bc he knows that they're his key to success and having them fail means he's not getting any $$$.  his desire to succeed in life, when its not drowned out by his absorbtion with himself, is over the top. his parents always told him that the best way to succeed in life is to be ambitious, and he wants to make his mommy and daddy proud so he's doing just that.

jeongmin is his own time bomb. any simple comment, any simple mishappening- he will blow up. he's sensitive to even the slightest thing, and the most impatient person you'd ever seen. if something doesn't happen the exact way he wants it to, then he'll have a fit.

jeongmin is always looking at himself and trying to figure out what he can better. but the thing is, he's perfectly fine the way he is. comparison is the thief of his own happiness, and he commonly puts down others in order to build himself a pedistal of false confidence. the thing is, he hates being told about his false points. he can't take criticism well, and it only blows his insecurity ballong more. he wants himself to become the perfect human being, but he doesn't realize that by doing so, he's making himself more imperfect on the inside.

jeongmin has a mindset that if you don't fit in what he believes is perfection, you're a stained person. and to make things worse, he will comment on it all the time.  if he feels you're eating a lot, he'll tell you such. he's friendly, but it commonly gets blinded by his immediate habit of judging people.

background — hwang jeongmin was born in seoul, south korea to the daughter of a rich doctor and the son and heir to a large department store in inner-city seoul. he has no siblings, so he was raised in a lifestyle that was always about him.his parents never shied away from spoiling him to the point that he was eating out of a golden spoon. he was always used to being given constant praise. 

 

 he generally had an uneventful lifetime. actually, no that would be a lie. but in terms of any heartbreak, loss or any sad stories- jeongmin lacks it. his parents loved him, so much so that they dedicated their lives to him. he was praised all his life. even for the slightest things. when he said his first word, his family invited all of their friends and threw him a party. when he learned how to walk, they flew him to osaka, japan for a celebratory vacation. he spent all his life being the center of attention and being the 'prettiest' person in the room. and now that he has to share the splotlight with 6 other boys, he's not sure what to do.

 

jeongmin has always been complimented. the first thing his mother told him when she pushed him out of her womb was "you are so beautiful." and it only grew as time passed by. in elemtary school, his classmates crowded around him, knowing that he was rich and an attractive boy. middle school was when he got his first girlfriend. high school was when he got his first boyfriend. and each time he dated someone new, they always tell him of how attractive he is. 

 

 jeongmin was never really that into music, so there's a natural confusion as to why he decided on becoming an idol. it was 3 years ago , was when one of his close friends told him he'd look good in a boy group, that he came up with the idea. they meant it as a joke, but when jeongmin hears an idea that benefits him, he's up for it 10000%. so, he searched far and wide, for companies big and small to audition for. it wasn't until 2016 that he found uniq entertainment. they were a newer entertainment label, but that was okay for jeongmin. the thing about him is that he isn't exactly a great performer. he has a pretty okay voice, no one can deny that, and his dancing is well enough to fit into difficult choreo, but perfoming isn't his strongest suit: his visuals are. and it was such visuals that got him into the company.

—kim jeongyeon | mother | 48 | his lovely mother, who means well. somehow, she spoils jeongmin more than his father does. she constantly feeds him compliments and praises him for even the slightest things. all jeongmin has to do is ask for something and he's ready in milliseconds to give him what he wants.

ceo | 45 (also he and i were born on the same day woof) | youngkwan is the first parental figure that has ever actually criticized him and still care about him, and jeongmin doesn't know how to feel about that. the two both make really corny jokes, so they get along, but jeongmin still doesn't like to take criticism.

manager | 26 | jongjin at first didn't like any of the members, but if there was one that he would willingly throw hands with, its jeongmin. to this day, they still bicker- as jongjin is always criticising the things jeongmin does and jeongmin is too obnoxious for jongjin's taste.

vocal coach | 27 | another person jeongmin is more than willing to fight if somebody asked him to. since jeongmin is one of the weaker vocals in the group, he spends a lot of time with ryeojin. he doesn't hate that ryeojin doesn't compliment his voice (bc he knows its not that great) but his shorttemper goes off every time ryeojin flicks his neck for his mistakes.

dance coach | 28 | probably the only coach who can stand jeongmin's obnoxious-ness. jeongmin's not too close to younghae, but he does go to him for help better-ing his dancing. he also knows that younghae is a good looking person and they would make a cute couple bc jeongmin is also a goodlooking person, but younghae always shoots him down.

rap coach | 31 | they barely know each other, since jeongmin isn't a rapper and doesn't have a reason to be around her. but the thing about jeongmin, is that he's pretty infamous for being annoying and self-centered, and mina (being the cracky woman she is) isn't afraid to yell at him if she ever sees him doing anything wrong (ESPECIALLY when she sees him teasing or making a side comment to greed.)

cat | jeongmin is really bad with animals and anubis is just further proof. jeongmin tried to be nice to him, but anubis scratched him the moment he leaned in closely to him. jeongmin hates that he pisses everywhere (even on him ???) and the fact that he's jongjin's lil sidekick makes it even worse. like he doesn't know why anubis hates him so much, cause anubis likes all the other members but all he has to do is walk into the room and anubis hisses and runs away.

TRAINEE LIFE — 

when jeongmin auditioned, he did so under vocalists. he got accepted through his looks and subpar voice, but the staff at uniq entertainment knew that if he was to be in their group, they'd have to improve his vocals. so, he spent almost all of his life training his voice. and when he wasn't doing that, he was working on his dancing skills. due to his friendly nature, he initially was very popular. he was goodlooking and talkative so he naturally made friends- including some of his future members. and then the narcissism started showing. he's since grown to become infamous around the company for his egotism and ability to make e v e r y t h i n g about him. his group of friends thinned and while some stuck around, a lot of people eventually started to avoid him so they could keep away from his self-admiration.

— after taking a good amount of time to make sure he looked good, jeongmin finally answered. "hello!" his wide smile graced his face. "i am jeongmin, the visual of the upcoming boy group, temptation!"

how do you feel about debuting?

— jeongmin looks to the side and his arm itches to reach up to his hair so he can run a hand through it, but he prevents himself from doing so. finally he looks back up to the camera and answers, "i'm excited. all of my members are so talented and amazing, i know we'll do great!"

i see. what about your thoughts to your group members? how is your relationship with them?

— "i've known some of them for a while, since i've been in the company for two years. we're pretty close, but we have a whole future to define us."

do you plan to change what relationship you have now to each member or retain them?

— "with the members i don't really now, yes. nes, especially." jeongmin felt like throwing up. the company was trying to make him and nes seem like good friends, but they've had a fight recently and the last thing jeongmin wanted was to talk about him. "but other than that, i think me and my members are pretty close!"

— "i'm the good looking one!" jeongmin could feel all s glaring at him from behind the camera, so he forced himself to add shakingly, "but my other members are pretty good looking, too!"
