I'm not well.

I'm sorry for the scary title, but I didn't know how else to write it.

This is a hiatus announcement.

If you've been reading the feed bar, you would see that I'm constantly talking about my stomach problems. After three years of problems, I've finally gone to the doctor. I hate going to the doctors, it's one of my least favorite things to do; which is why it's taken me so long to get a health check up.... my first health check up. Back in 2015, I started to notice that my stomach was acting up every time I ate, and it hurt.

In 2016, I had a really big scare. I had a huge dinner and went back to my dorm and proceeded to munch on snacks like the glutton I am. A couple hours later at midnight, I woke up in horrible pain. I thought my stomach was just too full and that I just needed to give it time to digest. It didn't. It started to become unbareable to sit up, stand, lay down. I had to walk hunched over. I tried to take a shower, thinking that the hot water would soothe my stomach, but thats when I noticed that my abdomin was swollen. The hot water hitting my stomach was so damn painful that I almost cried, so I got out the shower. After SIX hours of me in horrible pain, at 6am, I decided I was going to go to urgent care. By the time I got dressed and began walking to my car. The moment I unlocked my car, I vomited three times. I had immediately relief on my stomach, it was no longer bloated and it no longer hurt.

I had intestinal blockage; which is a bad sign.

As the years progressed, I still had that horrible feeling after I ate. No matter what I ate, it hurt my stomach. My mom began to question if I was just getting acid reflex/heartburn. I kept telling her that it wasn't as I had (Genius me) Googled it.

I realized that the pain would go away if I had a Tums/acid relief tablet.

Soon, the issue began to hurt just by drinking flavored water.

I eventually just got used to the idea that every time I consumed something, I should have a Tums on me. Eventually, my mom thought I had a stomach ulcer. I researched it and I matched all the signs. I did nothing about it, thinking that it would go away on its own. It didn't.

Last Tuesday, I had an appointment to see a doctor. I was ordered some medication to help my stomach (which it has and I haven't been in pain) and ordered to do quite a few tests. Well, since I haven't completed some tests since Im not scheduled for a few more weeks, I thought I was fine. However, the one test I could do was a at home fecal (poo sample) test. I did it and turned it in.

Today, my doctor told me the results and they said they found blood in my fecal. That means my ulcer is bleeding. That is a bad sign as it can lead up to life threatening complications, for example, cancer.

I'm not sure how long it's been bleeding, but I'm scheduled for more doctors visits within the month and I hope everything will get situated before I start school next month. There is a possibility I may need surgery, depending on how bad my condition is. I have to wait for more results.

I just wanted to let you all know that I should probably take some time away to focus on my health since I've clearly been lacking on taking care of myself. I also want you guys to take care of your health as well, if you are unwell, go see a doctor. I wish everyone the best of luck, and to my Americans, have a great 4th of July.
