#LoveYourself - blog 05.26.2018

While browsing through my FB feed, I came across this article. And I thought it was really heartwarming.

You know, when I started this blog in 2014 (which was mainly because of BTS) I received a lot of love for my writing. It was the reason I began being more confident in my talent and the time when I finally realized that writing was something I wanted to pursue as a career.

Apart from the wonderful feedback I got, I also got messages from my readers telling me about their problems, and how this group—whether be it by listening to their music, watching their shows or even reading my fanfics about them has helped them get through the day. Putting up this blog opened my eyes to a lot of issues the youth are experiencing today and has helped me become more aware, which I believe is very important. We need to be mindful of our emotional and mental health. It should never be taken lightly, so if you’re feeling down, please know that there is always a friend you can vent to (myself included); and if you know someone who’s having a hard time, do not hesitate to offer to listen, help or even give them a friendly smile.

It’s really amazing how by simply being part of a fandom has helped so many people cope through the hard times. ❤️ I, myself, have found comfort in BTS’ meaningful music. They are one of the few artists who are very open about mental health issues and I think that’s why a lot of people love them...they are very relatable, thus they feel closer to us. I’m so grateful that I was able to discover them and their music, because they have truly played a big role in my life in the past few years.

Listening to my readers and being able to help them in any way that I could has also given me comfort for I knew, in my own little way, I am able to help someone; make them smile or give them relief, even if it’s just for a little while. In turn, this (writing/blogging) has become my solace whenever I felt down or doubtful about myself. My readers never fail to cheer me on, to support me always, and that’s a gift I’m not even sure I deserve... but grateful for, nonetheless. I am thankful to you guys everyday.

And to BTS whom I don’t even know personally, and probably don’t even know I exist lol, thank you for continuously reminding me—all ARMYs—to #LoveYourself 💕 Who says you need to have superpowers to be a hero? All you need is heart and the willingness to give love to everyone.

PS: It may seem I’m not as active as I was before on this blog (Adulting OTL) but my inbox is always open if you need advice or just someone to talk to. I can’t emphasize this enough. I can be your friend in times that you feel alone. :) I’ll also try harder to write more stories for you guys, hoping that through them I’m able to make you happy. :) I hope to share new projects soon--including a new book that should come out this year, yay!

So hang in there yeah? Hang in there. It’ll be all right in the end. <3

Always here,

Kaye Allen
