Dying AFF...or Not

I have been on AFF for going on four years this year, and it has been a great place to meet new people, read stories and has inspired me to keep on writing. It's a great site, and I hope that many of you will continue to enjoy it.

As for the notion that it's dying...I believe that's a matter of opinion. Sure, a lot of people have left, for several different reasons, and people don't seem to get a lot of attention for their stories, if they aren't the "right groups" or "right ships", and even the "right genre". However, that's not a reason to give up completely. Even if you only log in once in a while an don't find yourself updating as much as you would like to (e.i. I haven't updated anything in almost two months myself, but it's not because I dislike the site or have become bored of it.)

The point is, I just hope you guys will be encouraged again and see that even if you aren't getting reads on your stories, or feel like you're being ignored, don't give up! It's worth it in this community=).

Some millenials grow up with the idea that numbers count more than real friends, opinions and good quality stories do. Apparently. Lmao.

I totally agree with you. I have all these chapters I need to post I just don't have the time when I'm working and then when I've got a day off I start writing more instead of posting so that's kinda my problem...

I know AFF is not in so much hype as it used once but staying here is still worth it! There are still many great writers, nice people, good friends!
I feel so close with the friends I got through AFF, we talk so long about everything~
Thanks for writing about this, though we see participation now, don't give up! It's the starting point for many readers and writers^^

We’re getting old. We can’t keep up with the younger writers. :P

I don't really think it's dying, I think it's more like a new wave of generation that is coming on and the old ones are leaving. There's a lot of stories from newer groups
