(Writers) Let's Do 'Dis #5 - Quit Being Stuck In Your Writing By Doing These 2 Things + Me-Share (Yixing Inspired)?

Writing Tip Below Video
Today is sunny, it's twelve-thirteen as I write, I slept well and have the day off work.  Basically, it's the perfect time of day.  And I'm in the mood to write.  I woke up inspired and added an addition to my SHINee Vampire AU Fic, specifically in the Onew part for Infinity's Chapter Four.  Not much left until I post it.  And I feel inspired to add this particular blog post.
I've had good reactions to it's creation, the tips are helping and I'm so glad.
Like I say each timeLeaving a Comment and letting me know how I'm helping you or that I am actually helping makes a huge difference - and encourages me to continue.
And the better I feel the more content I add.  Extra videos, writers tips (when I know specifically what you need), fun other stuff (not sure what yet), and Me-Shares inspiration that's helping me create new stories in my writers world.  ^_^

Lay - Peach [Eng Lyrics]
I was surprised to hear him make such a thing.  He's had such this innocent reputation, but hey - he's human, and we can't assume we know someone by just what we hear and read.  I'm not judging and I'm not saying I don't appreciate certain human bodies either.

I am addicted to this song, and get this - Lay sings in English, and his voice is adorable to me - he's sweet spoken, and his voice goes from high to deep - unique.
(Mine does the same, so people remember me from it - even if it's just my voice they remember... interesting?  Maybe - maybe not.  Oh well, there you go.)
But he's definitely a little hottie.  Go boy.  Do 'yo thang.
"Hold up little mama, just back that thang up..."  ;)

    Writers Tip
When's the last time you just wrote for you?  (Ask Yourself Two Things)
I used to have this bad thing with getting super caught up in writing my fics, lots of them - and because I have an obsessive personality I went with every plot bunny I had (because I couldn't help myself.
And now I have so many stories started that I refuse to count them.  I refuse to look at them like I used to also - why?
Because I now take the time to not only focus on one thing at a time (because that's how you stay productive), but I become overwhelmed, and end up obsessively thinking (if even just internally/instinctively that I have so much to do, I'm disappointing people, I haven't updated this in so long, my readers are going to be upset, I promised them this, I- they- we- it- it needz to be- NO _ ENOUGH.)  Don't be like me and if you already are, I'm so sorry.  It's terrible-
To Get Out Of This Stuckness (that's a word) Right Now (Ask Yourself Two Things):
1What are you passionate about?
2Which story is the most popular right now?
Focus on those.  I don't recommend letting people down if you made a promise that you can fulfill somewhere else, but if it the life out of you - let it go (at least for now).
Give yourself time to breath.  Time to recover.  Time to think.  Time to get back on track.
(Leave them a note explaining, and if they don't understand, they don't care.  Forget them.  They aren't worth your time.  You're not their dancing monkey - I know, harsh, but true.  You deserve better.  And you're entitled, just like them, to happiness.)
If you give out all of your creative energy and don't take time to refill the tank you're going to tank out - shut down - the end.
On Blog Post #4 of Let's Do 'Dis, I got a message and we discussed taking time away from writing to refill the tank.  Read books, not fanfics.  Pick up, find something new.  I, like the next guy, love fics, but after a while, even if they have an original plot and what-not, they're still familiar faces, names, and themes.  When we go outside of that circle we get something new.
I devour books like they're candy, especially when the tank is low and I even draw or do something else creative (build, draw, cut out shapes and paste them... or just wad them up see if I can make them in to the trash can.
    Don't hate.
    This is fun.
How many of you love throwing something in to the trash can and yelling SCOOOORE?
    Me.  :D  It's fun.
I also love playing corn hole with my Mommy.
Corn... Hole...?  'Eem... sounds... just wrong.  *snorts
    It's a game.
You have two plat forms with holes in them and you set them up across the yard from each other.
And you try to get the bean bags in the hole.
I'm ok-ish, more ok-ish than my mom.  And then I goof off on the paper as we write down scores.
She once got zero and I wrote Ploop.
And she laughed hilariously.  We crack ourselves up.
Take your down time to catch up with loved ones.
They still exist - even though our obsessive writers brains tell us nothing but Write Write Write.  You don't realize how much you miss them, how much spending time with them can nourish your soul, and inspire you until you experience it.  It's helped me many times.  Those warm, soul fizzle feels make me be in a good mood and that makes me want to write.
The act of sitting down, with the Want to write - makes it possible to be productive, because in that mind set I feel hopeful, efficient and can handle even writing crap.  If I don't really get any thing out of it, knowing I did it, accomplishing getting something down is a good thing for me.  (Try it).
    As for (1) and (2) -
1What are you Passionate About?
When you watch movies, what kind are they?  I like magic (The Craft, Worst Witch, Card Captures, Sailor Moon), and romantic comedy (Omg, so many - Music and Lyrics, Fifty First Dates, Just Go With It, The Mask), and fast paced - race against the clock - thrillers (2012, Um...  Taxi, Inception), and vampires (Interview With A Vampire, Blade) and beautiful landscaped adventure fantasy (Lord Of The Rings, Hellboy I and II)... etc.
Look at your stories.  Are you writing what you like, or following the FAD going around the fic circle right now - Hybrid something something, monster school au something something....
(I'm grasping at straws and not really getting any where, here, but you get the point?)
It's ok to think of your readers, but when you stop doing what your passionate about, you get bored - I get bored and lose inspiration all together.  I feel horrible for not being able to finish a story, but if I have nothing to put in to it (Passion/Interest) I just can't do it.  I can't tell you how many times I've made this mistake.  I had to correct course and start doing what I love again to make it work for me (I've gave up stories, deleted them, or changed every thing - while keeping the spirit of the story a live... Can be tricky.
You may not be having writers block, but be suffering from lack of interest.
Course correct and watch it do a 360.  Try it, I think you'll be surprised how quickly the fun and inspiration comes back to you.
[More on this in the Ending Notes w/A Simple but Powerful Example]
2Which Story Is The Most Popular?
Which one does your readers love the most?
(Here, I'm assuming you're on track and people are loving your authentic stuff.)
Which story is getting the most Hits, Votes, Subscriptions, LOVE?  Work on that one.  Spend more time on it than the others.  Try to finish chapters ahead of time, so you can keep it regularly updated, and keep that LOVE momentum going-
-Don't be like me and fall off the map for long periods of time (Hey, I'm working on it - Bipolar), and then have to pick back up from the beginning every time.  Thankfully, my stories hold Subscribers to let people know that I ever existed in the first place-
-*Wipes sweat from brow.  Whoo.  That's a load off.
It also helps just to write a little note as a temporary chapter to let your readers know what's going on.  Sometimes I even tell them about little snippets of ideas I'm having for other stories, or what's making me stuck from writing that new chapter.  Personal life, bad internet, panic attacks... blah.
Ya know, that kind of thing.
Keep them informed and if they care they'll encourage you.
This may be just what you need to keep going - that little bit of genuine care from you to them, and them to you.
I appreciate every sweet thing you guys have every said to me.
I makes me feel like I'm connected to a supportive network of people (Like I'm not floating out there alone).
    Thank you for that.
    Now, enough with the heavy.
On to the Me-Share - Yixing Damphir AU/FOC/Twin... thing... Idea.  Here's the video that inspired  at least three version or POV's of a story and two or three different story ideas all together.

Lay - Pretty Little Psycho
Hints for Story:  [Words]  Terminal, Psycho?, Dancing, Secrets, Lay-Spaced Out-Centric-ness, Dual Personalities, Wildes

Ending Notes:
Simple but Powerful Examples - (to bring back your passion for a story).
!)
[NOYixing went to a club and watched a creepy woman dance.  His friends had secretly followed him and they were scared, because this was the wrong side of the tracks.  What was he thinking coming here?
---    It's so normal and blase'.  Lacks detail and the real way I want the setting to go.
It may make my readers happy to see Yixing, because he's Yixing, but that's not good enough for me.  I want him to have character, depth.  I want to give them a reason to connect with him, while seeing him as more than a one dimensional character, based off of every other model of him they've seen with other fics.  ...I know, I can't help but love Yixing in fics from his very existence to.  Haha.
And I like to make people curious.  Scratch their head, think:  Hm... what is going on here.  *Turns page/Scrolls down *Reads More *Finds Out *Is Satisfied.  ;)
[YES]
Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Minseok watch from behind a half wall as innocent Yixing sits at a front table.  They'd heard rumors about the kind of dances done in bars across the Terminal: Falling Blood and ?  A man passed them and his small fangs - Dhampir - shone in the dim light.  "We should not be here," Baekhyun said.  Wide eyed, Chanyeol nodded.
Xiumin looked less expressive, but he did scratch his clavical.  He being the oldest had felt responsible for them and hadn't hesitated when these two had decided to follow him.  Them not being there: Understatement.  They could become food.  What had Yixing been thinking?
He wore tight black jeans and a gray muscle shirt - that highlighted his porceline white skin.  He pretty much screamed eat me.  Even more shocking:  Yixing pretty much chasing a Wilde around and her being a Damphir.  It made him question every thing he knew about him.
Her pink and aqua hair, her short skirt and obnoxious high shoes (Were those heels?): Not at all the type of woman he usually looked twice at.  She should terrify him.  Birds terrified him.  And he could see her red eyes from there.  Had he been replaced by his twin brother Tang when they hadn't been looking?
No, because Tang wouldn't look twice at a non-human, and especially a Wilde.  They stayed on their side of the Terminal for a reason.  Sanity being the main thing.  Had Yixing lost his?  No, not innocent Yixing.
He wouldn't allow it.  It got worse.
~    End
Hint:  This is how I picture the Yixing story going, but not sure if this is how it's actually going to start.  Hope you enjoyed it.  Did it help with showing you how to make things your way, your interest - just like the movies you would watch or story you would read?
