PERSONALITY

Sangho is a boy rooted in realism, or so he likes to think anyway. He's got his feet firmly on the ground and likes to think he knows how the world works, which is to say it . He trusts humanity about as far as he can throw them and he's always preparing himself for the worst. That way, when the worst will surely come, he's ready to fight it. His solution is usually fighting it. He's a fiery little thing.
B e w a r e  t h e  s h o r t  o n e s.

He's fiercely loyal, to a fault really. He'd do anything for those he's loyal to, which is basically just family. His momma taught him always to put family first and boi did he listen. Seriously, would fight everything for Beomho. Everyone else? Nope. Okay, maybe if Beomho's giving him The Eyes, but he'll be watching you. #trustno. He's really protective over Beomho, perhaps overly so, though tbf it's ot like it's never been warranted. Still, Sangha has severe trust issues and Beomho is included, though in this case he doesn't trust him not to get himself killed, honestly.

The kid is straightforward and to the point, he's allergic to bull honestly. Give it to him straight or not at all. He believes in honesty as a form of respect and hates it when is kept from him. Similarly he's not really the most deep thinking of them all. He's simple in what he knows and does, he's not interested in philosophy he's just interested in actions, actions that he will take thank you very much. He's a man of action, Beomho is the one who's actually clever about things. Sangho would just take the most straight forward answer when it's presented. He'll hate the trickery of the Mansion so much, why can't it just be honest about what it is?? And then he gets frustrated when things aren't going the way he expected them to be going.

He's all snap judgments either, he judges by actions and is pretty quick to decide those actions are , sir. He really doesn't see far past face value, but judges what he can see. Whereas Beomho would actually look for motivations and reasonings, Sangho is pretty simple about these sorts of things. You do something that's , you go on the list, good luck getting off of it, and he's not very good at hiding his opinions either, you'll know.

Sangho believes very strongly in creating your own merit and being strong of will. He's always tackled everything with a "I'm gonna get done" attitude. He really only respects people who are self-made. He and Beomho have come up out of nothing and they're still nobodies but they'll get there, and they'll get there through hard work, or so he thinks things should be. This doesn't really mesh well with the concept of the Mansion. Sangho has real contempt for this easy way out thing the Manor is offering everyone. He doesn't approve of Beomho's choice to go either but the loyalty thing means he'll stand by his bro no matter what, even if he's making a ty choice. Everyone else though? Don't let some easy wish granting factory  do it all for you you s, especially when it comes to light exactly how much the Manor is asking for its handouts.

The way he sees it, he's here only to make sure that Beomho is safe, and screw everyone and everything else. He thinks he'll do whatever it takes, screw morality. The only thing that's important to him is his brother. In the end, though, Sangho will find that he cares more than he wants to and is capable of less than he thinks he is. That pesky morality isn't something you can just shut away. Good luck with that my sweet child.

History

BACKGROUND: Beomho and Sangho grew up on Jeju island, raised by a single mother after their dad walked out on them before either of them can really remember. Childhood was fairly typical, they didn't have a lot of money but they got by, and if anything the struggle made them all closer. Maera raised her boys always firmly letting them know that they had to rely on each other in this world. Animosity wouldn't do at all, family is there to be counter on, that's a value that stuck.

Beomho was always the weak one, the one constantly almost getting himself run over cause he just wasn't paying attention to the world around him, and so it was up to little Sangho to pull him back from the brink. Sangho stood up for him and picked fights with bulliest so they wouldn't target Beomho. It was pretty laughable at first, this little 6 year old threatening the 8 year olds, but they severely understimated the power of a kick to the shins. Sangho got very good at kicks to the shins.

He was defiitely a troublemaker, though most of it was that he was constantly picking fights with people and once you start it's hard to stop. He didn't care for school or grades much but he studied when he had to and slacked off when he didn't. He'd style himself a bit of a bad boy, skateboarding and even smoking for a year or so before he realize it was gross and quit. He was never a bully, but he stood up for what he thought was right, even if his help wasn't need, and he was always the one who went up to the upperclassmen with "if hurt Beomho in any way I will kill you."

When Beomho came with the plan to go to Seoul, Sangho didn't need a second to consider it. For one, his bro would probably die within a week if he wasn't there, but also it smelled of adventure. He'd seen about all there was to see in his little town, and even the island at large. Jeju wasn't big enough for Noh Sangho. Seoul? Seoul would do. What he would do there? He had no idea. It didn't matter. He just wanted to be there.

So they moved to Seoul and Beomho took a job at some supermarket or other to support them while Beomho did his freelancing and studying and his mother sent whatever money she had left over if they had it rough. He had some more side-jobs too, and when he wasn't working Sangho was chilling with his bro or painting the town. Sometimes both at once during the rare occassions where he could convince Beomho to come out with him.

And then Beomho quit university after a job offer and suddenly Sangho was free to do... something. He wasn't sure what. Sure he should probably be looking toward his future, he was 19 at the time and that was kind of a thing, but honestly Sangho was having a good time so far. He enrolled into the police academy on a whim, really. Protect and serve, well, he'd basically already been doing that @Beomho, so it would probably be a good thing to do it @Korea too, right? Plus, guns are totally cool.

So here he is now, nearly a year into the police academy, and it's alright. He gets to shoot, shich is cool. The law stuff is kinda boring and obtuse but okay. The corruption balls. He doesn't really want to continue, honestly, but he can't really quit too after Beomho already did, so maybe it'll get better? Right?

The Details

OCCUPATION: Police academy brat cadet

SKILLS

- He can do a shoot shoot. He's only been at the academy for one year so he's not an expert, but he's quite good with a hand gun and can probably improvise the others if need be.

- Physically fit, he has to be for the academy and, honestly, he likes going to the gym. It all feeds into that feeling powerful thing. Sangho lifts. Sangho runs too. Honestly just give him an excuse.

- He was taught some rudimentary first aid as well, so that should come in handy.

- He can pretend to work while actually slacking off like a boss. What? It's a skill. You didn't say they had to be useful in this situation.

HABITS

- He's always making sure he knows exactly where Beomho is. If something happens literally his first reaction will be lookig around the room and spotting Beomho. Making sure his little bro is 1. okay and 2. within reach for continued okay-ness.

- He talks to himself when he's nervous or trying to make really hard decisions. He'll just start muttering to himself and going over the possibility or trying to reassure himself out loud.

- He starts pacing too when he gets really agitated.

- He's really just very physical and open and dramatic and everything he does. He gestures like he's part Italian, honestly. It's pretty easy to see exactly what he's feeling, he ain't subtle.

LIKES

- Shooting. It's a power thing, really, it just feels really good. On targets, that is.

- To feel needed. Not really a surprise if you've come this far.

- Going out and dancing. Sangho likes to party party. Look, he doesn't always have a stick up his , he's a cool bad boy, remember? Or at least that's what he thinks. He's a creature of the night, see you on that dancefloor, loser.

DISLIKES

- Water. Sangho can't swim. I know what you're thinking "wtf he was born on a literal island!" Ther was an incident where he was little and he almost drowned during swimming class and he refused to go back. Now it's A Thing.

- Heat, he does much better in the cold. You can't wear leather jackets when it's warm so what's even the point?

- Spiders. He's a manly man. Such a manly man. //screeches at spiders.

- Corruption. He lumps that in with getting what you don't deserve (why oh why did you want to become a cop, then, sweet thing?)

important people

FAMILY/FRIENDS

BEOMHO: They rely on each other and they look out for each other, as they've always done. Beomho is the heart of the two, the positive influence, the one who makes sure Sangho's 'realism' that's drag him into the abyss. Meanwhile Sangho is the one who keeps Beomho tethered to the earth and pulls him back down when he floats too far, and also makes sure the rent gets sent on time so they don't get evicted, no biggie.

Sangho has looked out for his questionably big bro for all of his life, really. He's very protective of him, but he doesn't always trust him to make his own decisions. Fair, since half the time Beomho is so lost in thought he almost gets run over, but also Sangho has to lear to trust Beomho's instincts and trust him to not get himself killed if he's away from him for 5 minutes. Whether those worries are legit is something we'll find out, I suppose.

And for the love of god, stop doing things for the other's sake without discussing it goddamnit.

The Wish

WISH: None at all, he's just going along with his bro since he doesn't trust this one bit. Which turned out to be fair.
