Blog for people who probably don't care, but...

I know my readers are probably angry that I haven't updated in a bit, but I'm working on them! But I discovered something that I can't stop marveling at.

Backstory: The year is 2008. I'm young and impressionable, and have just watched my first anime and stumbled upon a website where people are writing their own stories to it. That anime was Inuyasha. And that website is Fanfiction.net.

Fastforward: The year is 2011, and I just deleted the terribly written Inuyasha fanfiction that only had two chapters and like every sentence was a run-on sentence and there were so many spelling mistakes! But I'm deleting that. (I have cringy hand-written examples from that period of my life.) I've been writing for three years, so I must have improved. So I post my first real fanfiction, something with plot and characters with their own quirks. I posted an Alice and Wonderland fanfiction.

Keep going: After two years on Fanfiction.net, I post what I didn't know would be my last update on Janurary 21st, 2013. I do this shortly after being introduced to a new website that caters more to my current appeals: Kpop. On the 17th of January I'd joined AFF. By the 31st, I posted my first story here; just a ty little oneshot to test the waters and the uploading process. I've been hooked.

Fastword again: The year is 2018. I've learned how to structure sentences, build characters that are likeable and despisable. I've written several stories and full length novels that people seem to enjoy. I've decided for my new year's resolution to write more this year than my entire AFF career of 2013 (which was extensive). And I remembered that I used to write fanfiction for other things in other places. So I take a stroll down memory lane.

AND BOY CAN I SEE THE PROGRESS. XD I tried logging in to my Fanfiction.net account, but couldn't. So to test if the account was hooked to my email, I reset the password. Well, it was linked to an email I deleted shortly after creating my AFF account. So I can't get in without that passcode it sent to the deleted account. Maybe that's for the better. Because then I might take the stories down or go back to fix them. But then I can't see my progress. Then I don't know how far I've come. But it would turn out, I made another account for a friend, using my other email account. She never posted or did anything with it, but I logged in just to kind of see my old account. 4 of my stories. 9 of my favorite stories. And 5 favorite authors. In comparison to my 23 stories here (some of which have been hidden out of shame).

I know my readers are waiting on updates, but I can't just ignore that I had an entire evolution process that started there. So I'm going to go back and read a bunch of Avatar the Last Airbender and Invader Zim fanfiction that I've forgotten the plot to. Hopefully it holds up to everything I thought of it all those years ago. We'll see. :)

Wish me luck and I hope you guys can look at your own evolutionary process like this sometime, perhaps when you're feeling like a bad writer. <3 I know this will help me when I feel like that.

For now though,

-Bansha out!
