the DETAILS.

Appearance » Sook's appearance is as edgy as this app. Her face is a mix of contradictions, soft and sharp - a pointy chin frames a pair of plump cheeks, large eyes serve as contrast to the pointy nose and thin lips. A short bob binds the peculiarity that is her face together into a picture of blues. Her body serves as much a battlefield as her face does, a cacophony of the straight line that is her back, the boxiness of her frame,  and the plumpness of her hips, arms, and cheeks. While she is a strong believer of strengthening her body and hits the gym regularily, her line of work (as well as, quite unfortunately, her genetics) ensure that she will never be one of those lean, skinny women that look like they could be blown by the wind. Sook is way too edgy for that.

Her hands are littered with various scars from unfortunate cuts (both from knives and papers), and while Sook is not one to shy away from battle scars, she does her best to keep her nails manicured to perfection to counter that. Nail polish varies from black all the way to midnight blue, because dark colors are amazing and light colors are for weaklings. Same goes for the 9 different piercings on her ears (4 on the left, 5 on the right). Same goes for her eyeshadow. Honestly, she's not doing a good job dispelling those Darth Tater rumors.

Style » Have I mentioned edgy yet? Sook has a reputation to maintain, after all, and she doesn't intend to disappoint. One does not simply become The Grim Reaper of the food industry by wearing bright and colorful clothes (Once upon a time she tried. We don't talk about these times). Her wardrobe has a similar color range to her nail polish/eye shadow/ basically any color she applies on herself except for her hair. What makes her hair different, you ask? It's kind of like in nature. The more poisonous a snake is, the brighter its colors... and okay, yeah, fine, she needs that one pop of color amidst all the black. Sue her. She'll write the nastiest review about you and your food and we'll see who's the real winner.

traits
 » Look, there's a reason she's called Darth Tater

short-tempered, blunt, quick-witted, closed, emotional, both the most confident person on earth and a huge bag of insecurities, self-aware

personality »

There are two parts to Kim Sook, or at least there used to be. Once upon a time there lived a girl with big dreams and desires, one that was promised a great legacy and an even greater future if only she took her hand and reached for it. She was a girl that was insecure and soft, but one that believed in the world and wanted to prove everyone that she was worth of everything that she wanted.

That girl has long been murdered. From her ashes rose Kim Sook.

The woman that walks the streets of Seoul, Daegu, Busan (or anywhere her job would take her) has learned the brutal lesson life has decided to give her, and she is intent on not repeating her mistakes ever again. Gone is the innocence, there's no part for it in the new world. Gone is the softness. Kim Sook is one sturdy armor full of spikes and glistening with deadly poison. She dares you to try and with her.

Everything about her has been honed into a deadly weapon. She is snark personified, and it's truly a rare moment for her to say something that's not laced with irony or sarcasam. She's also quick on her feet with wit to help her deliver the nastiest of burns, blow after blow of facts garnished with just a splash fiction to make everything burn so much more.  Granted, she's a lot more clever when she writes - probably something about how you can press delete and try again? There's no option like that when you're speaking, unfortunately - but if you're a stupid ing with cheap stinking caviar for brains, don't worry she'll let you know. And even if you don't want to know, she'll make sure you hear her, loud and clear. Sook is never one to soften blows, she values honesty way too much (looking at you, uncle Byung) and would not filter her opinions for the sake of things like tact... and yes, maybe she compensates for the lack of emotional outlet by letting out everything else that's going on in her brain to the world. And yes, maybe she enjoys catching people off guard with blunt remarks that give her power over the conversation. And yes, maybe it just feels really nice to insult imbaciles and and morons and show them their place in the food chain. She doesn't get as loud as, say, Kihyun unless you really, really frustrate her (and ironically he's one of the few people that actually manages to do that), but her temper is as short as the list of things she doesn't find irritating.

Emotions command Sook's entire life, for better or worse. She's a very emotional person, and a lot of times she acts from her heart rather than her brain (much to her own dismay). At the same time, she is very closed and afraid of showing her weaknesses to those that will no doubt exploit them to the fullest, and it makes for an interesting battle that rages in her head at all times.  So s
he lets her emotions out in... creative ways. Shouting, yes. Writing angry reviews, definitely. Creating a dark alter ego that feeds its own image by everything that she does, oh yeah. Never talking, never discussing them. That's for losers.

One would think our little dark lord would think Kim Sook the Darth Tater is a wonderful costume, an amazingly sturdy armor that protects her from everything that might hurt her (the way she has been hurt before. She cannot afford to be burned again. She's not sure who she'll become if it happens). But that is not the case. In fact, Sook hates her alter ego with a passion. It has never really been her alter ego. It's nothing but a hand-crafted image her evil company has created to feed the hungry consumers in exchange for their souls (and money. Always money). Sook can see the ghosts of who she once was in it, the angry yet independant Sook that wrote angry reviews on her laptop and enjoyed it, the one that had freedom and was on the way of becoming proud of who she was and what she was doing. But they're just that, ghosts. Sour reminders of what was and what could've been and what currently is. She is well aware of who she is, and even though she's one hell of a ed up individual, she's not the ed up Kim Sook her company wants to sell so badly. She hates how they force her to be someone she's not, hates how small she feels when she's sitting in the chair in front of her manager and the CEO and listens to them controlling her career and her life. And she is oh so very angry, but it's not the kind of angry she can release through nasty reviews. It's the kind of angry that feeds off her soul, the kind she can't get rid off because she was a dumb and signed a contract with the devil and now she has no choice but to do whatever they want her to do. She can't stand trying to be someone she's not. All she wants to do is be herself, be the ed up Kim Sook she created herself and own up to her own ups instead of dealing with those that were ed upon her.

Sook is a pretty self-aware human being, one that doesn't shy away neither from her strengths nor shortcomings. She's very aware that she could be less dramatic, could try and control her anger, could react better to her family (or at least her mother). At the same time she's aware that she has every justification to do so, that what her family has done is complete bull and she has every right to be angry at them.  She's aware life has ed her over big time, and she's aware of how ed up she is at the moment. She never shies away from that, always admitting to being a and a crazy that has sold her soul to her company for cash. Hell, she'd like you at least 20% more if you call her out for that. For everything that she tries to hide from outsiders, she knows herself well, even if she does focus on her bad side more often than not. It makes maintaining her alter ego easier.

And it's nothing but an alter ego. Sook is aware that everything about her is a mask - she (or her company, or her family, it doesn't really matter) has built this image of dark colors and harsh words said behind the screen, this Darth Tater everyone is so afraid of, but in reality she has a lot of trouble keeping up with that image. It's easy when she's behind her computer or unmoving on photos or is stuffed with the food she's criticising. It's a lot a lot a lot harder when she actually has to live. And while she hates this persona so ing much, she has no choice but comply to the whims of her company and do whatever she can to keep the Darth Tater image. So she wears black and looks intimidating and spits snark left and right, all the while feeling like a coward for succombing to this. She wants to fight it, but she knows she can't do it on her own - if she had the might and money of her family backing her up, it would've been a lot easier. But she doesn't (and there's no way in hell she's going to ask for their help), and on her own she doesn't have the money and the power for that.

Everything about her is a conflict - dark and light, harsh and soft, real and virtual life. Sook wants nothing more than for it to go away. She wants to forget her family and break free of her company's clutches, and she hates how so many things about her are clear products of those. Kim Sook might be conflict, masks, and anger. She might be Darth Tater and she might be Sook Kim of the Kim food empire. But all she wants to be is herself... now she just needs to figure out what that is.

BACKGROUND
 »

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away.... well not in a galaxy, but in the Galaxy, the Eunha Yoli, the best restaurant in all of Daegu. Self-proclaimed, of course, although the ratings don't lie. In the Eunha, there worked a man (and owned the entire thing, but he doesn't like to brag), but the story isn't about him. It's about his niece.

Kim Sook was practically genetically engineered to be a cooking prodigy. Her grandfather was a renown chef, the Kim Taehyun that opened a small restaurant by the name of Eunha in Daegu and nurtured it into a Michelin-stars top empire. Named after his deceased wife and famous for his combination of traditional Korean recipes (that has been passed down the family for generations) and modern twists on the old-fashioned cuisine, he had set a certain bar in the Korean food industry and is considered a legend to this day. His son, Kim Byungman, took over the restaurant after Taehyun's untimely death (something about high colesterol level and the fact that the man was over 130 kg, smoked like a chimney, and drank like... well, like a typical Korean man), and proved to everyone that there was something about the Kim genetics and food. While everyone expected Eunha to crumble and disappear into nothingness when Taehyun died, Byungman not only kept the restaurant going, he made it better. Under his ownership the restaurant got its second Michelin star and branched out into Seoul and Busan while maintaining its top class quality. Byungman's sister, Shinhye, didn't venture into the family business like her brother, favoring instead politics. Even then, she still enjoyed cooking as a hobby, and was quite good at it too. To that family Kim Sook was born, and no one was surprised when she started expressing interest in cooking at the tender age of four.

Sook had been promised internship at Eunha since she was eleven years old and begged her parents to allow her to work for Uncle Byung. That internship, the prospect of working at Eunha, of experiencing the full might of her family legacy has been Sook's drive her entire life. She was nineteen, full of hope and naivety, head full of ideas of everything that was going to happen now that she was going to be a chef at her family's restaurant. Everyone was going to know who Kim Sook was. Everyone was going to look up to her and nod in appreciation. She was going to make a name for herself while making her family name even more powerful, even more respected in the culinary industry. She entered Eunha with her heart on her sleeve, only for it to be grabbed by her uncle's plump hands and crushed into a million little pieces.

Three months into the internship, she was called into the intern manager office who announced that she has been removed from the internship due to performance issues. To say that Kim was Shook would be an understatement. Baffled, she went to her uncle, expecting him to say that the manager had made a mistake, that he didn't know who she was. She never expected her uncle to be a coward that told one of his goons to get rid of her without even giving her a proper explanation. Without a choice, Byungman told her that he thinks she's unfit to be a chef. "You lack any the creative drive necessary to be a chef. You don't have the Kim talent. Look at people like Yoo Kihyun, you can't really compare to him." He said, and Sook broke. She felt betrayed by her uncle, betrayed by his words and by his cowardice. She returned home with her tail between her legs, expecting her parents to defend her, to do anything - her mother was as much of a Kim as Byungman was! She could make it better... but her parents just shook their heads and suggested Sook tries her hand at something other than cooking. She packed her things and left home two weeks later.

It wasn't hard to find a job in Daegu - restaurants always needed another pair of working hands, especially hands that already knew the craft well - but the transition from being a member of a wealthy family that never really had to worry about basic necessaties to an independant individual that had to do her own laundary and take care of her own bills was rather traumatic for Sook. She had to mature quickly and develop a very thick skin, both to deal with her new harsh(er) reality and the pain her family's betrayal had caused her. Anger was a lot easier to deal with than sadness, Sook learned, and so she became angry. Angry at her mother, angry at her uncle, angry at the crappy coffee shop she found herself working at, angry at the ty situation she found herself  in, angry at the entire world. Angry at herself too, because even though Byungman's words hurt she knew they had some merit to them. She had never been able to come up with brilliant recipes of her own, and chefs required leadership and communication skills she simply lacked, and it made her so very angry.  Everything about her life was ty, but the last thing Sook was going to do was go back home with her tail between her legs (her mother tried calling her at least once a day. Sook ignored all of her calls), so she clutched her teeth and grew more angry.

It was in a ramyun shop across her crappy flat that Sook finally snapped. A rather unfortunate encounter with both the extremely y waitress that couldn't remember her order by heart (seriously, she only asked for 5 changes, what a ing amateur) and a case of a ing hair in her dish had led Sook to type away furiously on her laptop in the middle of the night, channeling all of her frustrations into dissing the absolutely moronic, disgraceful place that resembles the sewers of a North Korean labor camp more than a ramyun restaurant . By the end of her essay Sook felt oddly... at ease. It felt refreshing to let all of her feelings out, and hiding behind the safety of the computer screen ensured her feelings were safe and sound and she was in no risk of getting hurt ever again. It felt so good that when she witnessed another horror in a different place she didn't hesitate to boot up her laptop and type away. Soon it became a form of teraphy - she'd go to a restaurant, analyze it, and the proceed to criticise every little thing that was wrong with it online, going as far as creating a blog just for that. Surprisingly people loved it. With every blazing review she left, more and more people were drawn to Kim Sook's blog, swallowing each insult like delicious soup (and didn't that show how ed up people are, living off the misery of others and being ing hypocrites about it. At least Sook was honest about it all). A few months later more and more of Sook's reviews were going viral, and it was then that she was approached by a man named Lee Jisung, who offered to represent and manger her writing affairs. "It means you could make money writing reviews." He explained, "A lot of money." And Sook was sold.

At first being represente by a manager and a company wasn't all that different - Sook still visited different places and criticised the out of them, only now without her crappy job at the coffee shop she had a lot more time and resources at her disposal. Nowhere was safe from Kim Sook's scrutinizing glare. Seoul, Busan, Incheon, even Japan, Thailand, and China. Her representing company paid for most of Sook's expanses and it felt almost like she was back home, not needing to take care of herself anymore (her mother kept calling. Sook kept ignoring her calls). At first, it felt amazing. For the first time in a while Sook felt like she was doing what she loved again. It wasn't cooking, but it was something she was the best at, something she was known for because of herself and not the family that burned her (she tried to ignore how it was always "Kim Sook of the Sook food empire"), something that no one could take away from her because it was hers... Then the managergot more demanding. And then the company got forceful. More and more Sook went to places the comapny wanted and not her, more and more words were put into her reviews that didn't come out of her fingertips. More and more Sook was forced to do things she didn't want, more and more she had to sell herself for the sake of her comapny getting more royalties. The short time she was content with her life again had long since vanished, and all that was left was ashes in yet again.

She properly hates her life now. Her job used to be fun, but now it's all about who the company wants her to diss, and what words they want her to use. She hates how controlling it is now, how she no longer has any freedom. Her family is still a ing mess. Her mother keeps calling, keeps sending gifts for Christmas and inviting her over for the holidays. Sook keeps ignoring her, and keeps listening to every voicemail she recieves, and keeps reading every text and every letter. She still wants to cook, still wants to bring honor to the Kim family even though she knows she'd make a ty owner and nothing good will come out of her foolish dreams. She still tries to figure out who she is now, how the Kim Sook of the internet and the Kim Sook off the internet mesh into one human being. She still tries to understand who is she behind the mask, or if there's even a mask in the first place.

LIKES »

❥ Food - is her one true love. Sook loves everything about it, from its taste to its preparation. Contrary to popular belief, she's also not a snob and wouldn't just eat at fancy restaurants. Food is universal, food is for everyone. She has seen brilliant food stalls and atrocious Michelin restaurants. As long as the food is good, it doesn't matter where it comes from.

❥ Writing - is a fairly new hobby, and she has never written anything but food reviews, but it's a very nice way to let out stress and anger, and up until she signed a contract with the devil she also really enjoyed it.

❥ Nights - she loves both the bustling of the night city and the serenity of night itself. Loves sitting in the cool night air, smoke, and think.

❥ Gordon Ramsay - come on, who doesn't love that genius!? He's a brilliant chef, and he gets so very creative with his remarks.

❥ Coffee - but not the bull Starbucks sells, and not the overpriced bull some restaurants and Italians try to sell everyone. The kind that she makes herself and smells amazing and just gives you energy to fight against all of the evil in your life.

❥ People who aren't offended by her sarcasm and snark - oh man she loves them. She loves it even more if they return her the favor. And she loves it the most if they call her out. Sook knows she's a up, but if you manage to figure it out and have enough guts to say it to her face, the least you deserve is her respect.

❥ Uncle Byungman - is a ing lying coward who doesn't deserve all of the good he has in his life.

❥ Her family in general - and her mother in particular. It's kind of complicated, really. She hates and loves them. She wants to have a family again, but there's no ing way in hell she's going back to those that pretended to be the closest to her only to stab her in the back. Above all, she feels betrayed by her mother and her family, and she can't forgive any of them.

❥ Bad service - if you're a complete like Sook is, don't work as a waiter. If you work as a waiter, you better be every that comes your way. That's in your job description you , that's what you get paid for.

❥ Her manager and his company - because they are the spawns of satan and she can't believe she still has 5 years of slavery to them before they return her soul to her.

❥ Her life pretty much.

❥ Her nicknames - Darth Tater? Seriously? That's the best they could come up with? And if someone ing dares to say that they're Kim Shooked she will ing -

strong points»

❥ Cooking - not only is she a member of the Kim food empire, Sook has been cooking practically her entire life. She knows a lot of recipes by heart, and can cook anything as long as she knows how, and do it fantastically well.

❥ Operating under pressure - she's worked in a restaurant before. She's worked on a Saturday night in a popular ramyun shop as the only chef, and has come out of it alive.

❥ She can make the best coffee you have ever tastes. The Best.

❥ Quick wits will get you very far - as long as a certain someone doesn't let her EMOTIONS get in the way.

❥ She's pretty intimidating - hey, they call her Darth Tater for a reason. Be it her dark clothes, her features, the way she carries herself, the way she talks and behaves, and her reputation in general, but Sook is pretty intimidating. Not a lot of people want to directly with her.

❥ Etiqutte - while her family is mostly known in the food industry, her mother is a politician that has groomed her daughter to have the best behavior. Present Sook couldn't give less of a about politeness and manners, but she does know her way around etiquette (and there are things that are integrated into her brain too deeply.  To this day she subconciously keeps her elbows off the table, and eating with both a fork and a knife is just so much more comfortable to her)

❥ Traveling - the last few years of her life were spent constantly traveling, and Sook has become a pro at it. She knows her way around airports, and can navigate like a pro in any new place she visits.

❥ She's not afraid to offend people - because that's kind of her job. And if you do get offended, she's likely to find it amusing more than anything. Sorry, she's way too used to people thinking she's a cold-hearted , your offended face does nothing to her.

weak points» anything your character is bad at (or scared of), min. 5 max. 10

❥ Being a chef- Look. She can cook really ing well, but that doesn't make a chef. A chef needs to lead the kitchen, a chef needs to innovate and create and move people, and Sook can't do any of those.

❥ Cleaning - as if Darth Tater would have time to clean.

❥ Musicality - unless you count the music she makes with her fingers as she vigorously types away on her trusty laptop...

❥ Her temper - is quite legendary, and not everyone appreciates it like her fans do. Especially when it's directed at you.

❥ Emotional af - Sook is an extremely emotional person. She follows her emotions, oftentimes without thinking straight. As much as she hates it, her feelings control her, make her impulsive and stupid at times.

❥ Smoking - 1. it's kinda gross. 2. It's an addiction, and if she ever needs to go on a withdrawl it's not going to be pretty.

❥ Bring up her family - and witness the world turn to ashes. She is very closed about her family, yet at the same time very intent on voicing exactly how much of a bunch of betraying cowards that ruined their own child for nothing they are.

❥ Literally bring her family - and everything will be A Mess. Sook's relationship status with her family is "it's complicated". She hasn't seem any of them in a long, long, loooong time, and if she was to meet them again her brain would probably melt. She hates them but she loves them, she's never been so angry at anyone her entire life, but she's still the little girl that's craving her family's acceptance and affections. It won't be a pretty sight, in any way.

❥ Yoo Kihyun - is a weakness on his on, really.

❥ She kind of sold her soul to the devil, aka her managing company. No biggie.

trivia »

❥ As Eunha is the Korean word for the Milky Way galaxy, the trademark of the Kim restaurant is the galaxy themed ceilings adorning all of their branches.

❥ While she is a sort of a celebrity in the food industry (both thanks to her parentage and her job), the general populance doesn't really know who Sook is other than the occasional viral review from that angry food critic.

❥ If you call her out on her bull, there's a decent chance Sook will going to like you. If anything, she's going to know you're not a moron. Most ins bounce off of her like Parah bullets off of Winston in his ult. As long as they're insulting her directly, of course. Anything about her family/her job/ her situation, and Sook's temper comes rushing with a vengence.

❥ Most people don't expect Sook to have a sense of humor, and boy does she love the look on their faces when she cracks an unexpected joke.

❥ She started smoking when she was 18 because everyone at Eunha were smoking and peer pressure got the best of her.

❥ Has a penchant for dramatics, like she hates how they call her Darth Tater but would certainly not mind if someone plays Vader's theme everytime she walks into a room. And she most certainly enjoys her dramatic pauses and eyerolls and speeches.

LOVE INTERESTS » Fenris - I mean Kihyun, Alistair - ahem Minhyuk, Solas - eh Jooheon

the reason you applied » Publicity is a ing , that's why.

(rumors about her joining the program started circulating around the internet, and her manager thought that was a wonderful idea. Sook was not impressed)

strategy » Oh Sook intends to get othe out of this mansion the moment she gets the opportunit - Wait.  Yoo Kihyun is here!? Mother. er.

When she first learned of her unfortunate addition to the show, Sook's initial instict was to use the program to break free of her company's clutches. But the more she thought about it the more she realized that it's kind of impossible. Sure, she can call her company out on live TV in front of a huge audience, but that's not going to save her from all the law suits and the violation of her contact. So, no heroic Jungkook-style acts can be expected from her. And there's no ing way anyone can find love on a show like that, it's plain idiotic to even consider such a posibility, and it's not like she wants to be in a relationship anyway... So Sook plans on just sitting by, and relying on her intimidation techniques to keep everyone away until she gets booted off...

... that is before she finds out some of the women are actually... not morons (I can see her getting exceptionally well with Misoon, for example). And then she finds out she's actually attracted to some of the bachelors. And then she finds out that the bane of her existence is one of those bachelors she's attracted to.

Things are going to be chaotic.

She thought she'd get a quick vacation away from her manager and his boss Satan. Life sure likes to with her.

The bachelors »

He's way too quiet. Sook doesn't like that.

Hyunwoo seems like a pretty boring guy to Sook. And no matter how physically strong he is, he's a ing weakling, staying silent and taking everyone's bull all the time. And she doesn't really get why all of the girls are swooning over him. Sure, he has some muscles, but he's way too buffed and his face is weird and why the is he so calm and quiet all the time it irks her. If he ever gets enough guts to ask her why she doesn't like him, she's going to outright tell him (but maybe if he'll get guts she'll like him more?)

Again, Sook doesn't really understand the Hoseok hype, but whatever makes the other female's ladyparts tingle.

He's part of the Smokers Club though, and after a few times of smoking together, he's okay, she guesses. At the same time, he's way too secretive for his own good and Sook really doesn't like that (and yes, she's aware of how that makes her a complete hypocrite). She'd try to talk to him about it for the sake of the Smokers Club, but if he doesn't change his ways real quick, Sook will become annoyed real quick.

Who?

Oh boi. Oh man. Oh the rivalmance.

Yoo Kihyun is not a new name to Sook. In fact, she knows him quite well. Okay, fine, she knows of him... fine, the only things she knows is that he's a famous chef and that her uncle said he deserves to be a chef while she doesn't. She has spent a few good years hating him by assosiation, and even wrote an extremely nasty review for his restaurant just out of spite. The moment she learns of his existence in the mansion she is not going to be a happy camper at all.

The problem is, he's not who she imagined him to be.

Sook loves to hate on Kihyun. She hates to admit just how brilliant of a chef he is, and is immensly jealous that he got to work with Gordon Ramsay. He makes her feel insane and she loses her temper more often than not when she's around him. But they say that love and hate are very close, and for some ed up reason Sook feels that all too well. She's so ing attracted to him, and the more heated the conversation, the more heated the feeling gets. She probably should've seen it coming, considering how ed up she is. She even won't shy away from this, and will probably ask him in the heat of the moment, "Are you as right now as I am?" If anything, it should get quite a reaction out of him. It can also help avert her mind from the... other feeling.

He's very much not what she expected. She would love to hate on him, but she can't help but appreciate his humor, and how creatively savage he is when it comes to his insults. Sook has never been one to lie to herself, and she can understand that most of the hate she feels towards him is a direct outcome of her hate for her uncle, and the way he cast her aside. They are a lot more alike than she'd like to admit. It both scares and excites her.

It's less ed up to be extremely attracted to your sworn enemy than to feel emotionally connected to him, right? Right??

As a part of the Smokers Club gatherings, Jooheon and Sook get to talk. Turns out, they have some things in common. Their peculiarly tough exterior is one. Their ed up family situation is another.

Sook can't help but relate to Jooheon, and at first glance he's the one that can understand how ty she feels about it the most. He doesn't judge her for the things she's done to survive, and she doesn't judge the things he's done to cope. His resilience is admirable in her eyes (even if he's such a weenie oh my god how is he even real. And what the is wrong with him who even does aeggyo). When she's around him, there's this calmness that spreads. No crazy feelings, no passion that's borderline-maddenning. He's just funny and he just understands who she was forced to become, and damn if this acceptance isn't ing hot.

In all honesty, Sook doesn't know which one she feels more weird about being attracted to - Kihyun, or Minhyuk. When Kihyun and she share similarities, Sook and Minhyuk couldn't be more different.

He's an actual ray of sunshine, to begin with. So cheerful all the time, so optimistic even with his horde of crazy fangirls. How is he real? Sook feels like she should really dislike him, but oddly she doesn't.

He doesn't take her , but in a... nice way. Sook doesn't really know how to deal with that. He sort of makes her want to not be so savage when she's around him, and she doesn't know how to deal with that either. He's the personification of light, and she's so dark she could be a black hole. She doesn't know if she likes the way he makes her feel - all she wants to do is be herself, and yet here he is, making her want to be someone she's not again. And it's not even his fault. And god, his smile. It burns her so badly, but she kind of wants to say thank you for that and ing hell everything is so confusing she only came here because her manager forced her what the is going on

He's so free. Sook wants that.

She has tons of respect for Changkyun for how he doesn't give a about his image and just does whatever he wants. She wants to be like him, to not be chained by anything, and she's so jealous of him it hurts. He's a cool dude, and he's a part of the Smokers Club and as more time passes she feels like she can let him on certain things from her life, as cautionary tales if nothing more. He almost feels like a little brother to her, and she wants to warn him of the bad in life before that can hit him in all of his naive rich kid glory. She doesn't want him to make the same mistakes she's made.

this is paradise.

This is an interview section. The interview takes place BEFORE the show starts and before your character knows that she's accepted and will participate in the show. Whatever she answers, the bachelors - except for Minhyuk - aren't revealed until the first episode airs, therefore she can't know who's going to be there. The interview is recorded and might appear in TV, keep that in mind. You cannot change the questions.
Oh and by the way... the one who'll interview your character is former bachelors Min Yoongi.

"So...this is season 2 of Bachelor's Paradise. Interesting how people are still torturing themselves with applying for this show. Please, introduce yourself."

  • "Name's Kim Sook." She says, and for a second contemplates if she should elaborate more. Definitely nothing about the Kims, she'll be damned if she helps this stupid show to add more oil to the fire that is her family. But her manager would probably scold her if she leaves it at that, and she doesn't have power to deal with another one of his tantrums for a while... Then again, she's going to be away from him for a while, and she always has enjoyed her small victories over Satan. No self-promotion it is. "Your optimism towards this show is truly remarkable. I approve."

"Why do you think you need this program to find love? Is there a reason you couldn't find love on your own?"

  • Saying that she's here because her manager has metaphorically dragged her by her hair as she was screaming bloody murder would probably be a bit of an overkill. The CEO would never let her live that one down. ing hell. "Well, I mean, look at me." She shrugs instead. "I'm not exactly a love magnet, am I? And even if I was, that's not really top priority for me. I'm not really one of those dumb bimbos dreaming of their knight in shining armor to come and take them to their middle class dream life." There, half a truth. Close enough.

"Why should we choose you and not someone else?"

  • She rolls her eyes dramatically and sighs as loudly as she can. "Because I'm Kim Sook and you and your little company must be so eager to have a villain in your little fairytale." Is all she says, and when he gives her a weird look she knows to expect it. It's not like they want her for anything else, and she's not going to lie about it. Her company gets fame, they get their controversy. She's not going to pretend it's anything other than that.

"What do you think about people who gain a lot of money?"

  • Flashes of her mother, her uncle, and her slavers' faces appear in front of her eyes, and hints of anger immediately flood her blood. Sook scowls in the way she knows is both extremely unattractive and intimidating. "Depends on the people. Most of them ing ."

"Any hopes or dreams for the future?"

  • Yeah... nope. Ain't no ing way she's going to open her heart and pour her feelings out to this stranger. no. Not even Satan - ahem, her manager - will make her do that. She puts on her mask, and suddenly it's not so hard to mimick the expression she always puts on her face when an interviewer asks a particulary annoying question and all she wants is for them to go the away. "Next question."

"Oh right... did you watch season 1?"

  • "Pfft, No." She scoffs loudly, even though she has watched a few episodes here and there. He doesn't need to know that. Nobody needs to know that.

"Okay, that's it... why are you looking at me like that? You want to tell me something else?"

  • He's probably expecting her to say something offensive. She hasn't really been all that bad today, her manager won't be pleased. Welp, might as well let her curiousities out. "So, do tell me. How many imbaciles and complete and utter morons will I have to endure in that mansion? I need to prepare myself mentally for losing all the braincells." His face pulls into a nasty grimace, and she smirks bitterly. "A lot, huh? Fun-ing-tastic."
