OC or SHIP?

I've been wondering... is it more exciting to read a fanfic that has the main guy paired with an OC or the normal ships? I've been seeing fanfics that are XOCs lately and I kind of wanna try it. XD What do you guys think?

i pretty much only read ships because i’m only interested in bxb. i’d be willing to read about male ocs too but since they’re pretty much rare, i usually stick with ships :”)

hmmmmmmm if when it's come to GD, TOP, and Seungri so I prefer ships but for my other bias I prefer with OCs

I prefer OCs I don't read ship ones because they are mostly bXb and I don't read bXb or gXg
