Tall and injured..,

I never realized how far away the floor is until today.

I got my wound repacked and it hurt like heck. As a result, I can't bend over very far right now.

I never realized my height would be an issue like it is now. The floor is just so far away. Every time I try to get something I look like this:

It's annoying...,

Also, I decided to go shoe shopping a couple days ago. I needed some comfy dress flats to wear to work.

We've established that I'm tall, so as a result, I have big feet. If I didn't, I'd fall over.

It gets really old walking into shoe stores and following the signs only to find they don't carry your size.

It's like here's a ton of 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, and then it either stops there or I find the dreaded 10 & up section which is the size of a pea and has the ugliest stripper heels and old lady shoes in it.

And, then you ask if they have any bigger sizes and the sales person tells me to go to the men's department...,

I already buy sneakers in the men's department, but they don't have any feminine dress shoes.

I can't order online either because I have to try shoes on because my size changes depending on how the shoe is made.

No wonder I don't have any cute shoes...,

I normally end up breaking down in tears and storming out of the mall shoeless..., which I did!

I did manage to find three cute dresses for less than $10 each, so that was a plus. At least stares still have my dress size, though a lot of them look like shirts on me instead of dresses.

I have a friend with really small, but really wide feet. She has to wear a 9 in men's because that's all she can find. Ordering online is something around $200! And she's not even tall!
