Hai~! Author-nim here with a random blog. I'm here to tell you what goes through my head as a wolfau writer. You also get to see what other species I have in my wolfaus and a few FAQ's being answered that you, the reader, may have.

First of all: The various species I have~!

Werewolf:

The driving force behind my wolfaus essentially. Now I know what you're thinking, werewolves? Really? Why? Well, they're a little different than your typical werewolf. I mashed together what I knew about the various kinds of werewolves and put them together to form my own variation of them.

Random facts:

1. They can shift to their wolf forms at will, and they look like your normal average wolf. Their wolf forms vary in color but there isn't any crazy colors out there. They're supposed to blend in with regular wolves if they run into werewolf hunters.

2. They hate silver with a passion. Getting shot in a vital spot with a silver bullet can kill them, but small amounts of silver will burn them. Werewolf hunters love to torture werewolves with silver knives to get any information out of them.

3. There's the typical pack structure, with the main alpha, the main alpha's betas who are also alphas then the other alphas in the pack that are the backbone of the pack. There's also natural betas, but we shall get to those.

4. The main alpha position is usually given to the oldest in the pack though if someone is willing to become the alpha and they aren't the oldest then they fight for the position with their alpha auras.

5. Alpha auras are what the main alphas use to keep their pack in line. This is how a new alpha becomes the main alpha. They use their alpha aura to fight off the other alpha auras in the pack and if they succeed they become the next main alpha.

6. There are werewolves who are deemed "natural betas." They don't have an alpha aura and the only way to become an alpha is to either kill the main alpha and absorb their alpha aura or get enough backing from the other alphas in the pack to become an alpha that way. There are consequenses to both methods, like being easily angered.

7. There are two types of werewolves. Turned werewolves, who were scratched by another werewolf, and pure bloods who were born that way. Turned werewolves stop aging at the age they were turned and pure bloods can stop aging when they choose. They can start aging again once they stop changing.

8. Turned werewolves can choose their mates while pure bloods have two mates. A pure blood's mate consists of another pure blood or a turned werewolf, human, hunter, etc. It is believed that it evolved to be like this after overhunting, to keep the family lines going.

9. The oldest werewolf clan in the world is the Chae's [currently] with the heir to the throne being Hyungwon who the last son known to be alive. Many pure blood families can trace their roots back to the Chae's. It is believed that they had been around since about 10 A.D.

10. The most well known werewolf pack in the world is a pack who goes by the name iKon. They were under the impression that their youngest, Chanwoo had been killed by another werewolf so they became werewolf hunters to go after the werewolf who "killed" Chanwoo who had found his mate in a 'shifter named Moonbin. After a reunion they are now vampire hunters, only going after werewolves when asked to.

Shapeshifters:

Also known as 'shifters, it is believed that they came around a few centuries after the first werewolf. It started out as being able to choose their animal forms, and branching out from there and it eventually led to the point where no one can choose their forms anymore. It isn't known whether there is still a 'shifter clan out there that can still choose their animal form since no one has heard from those clans in a long time.

Random facts:

1. Main alpha of a 'shifter pack is determined by genes. Alpha auras are also a factor but it only appears when the main alpha awakens when he/she starts changing.

2. If there are two main alphas of different packs in the same house it creates a lot of tension. Sometimes they have to be put in separate rooms to keep a fight from breaking out.

3. Once a 'shifter starts changing they stop aging. Once they stop changing for an indeterminant amount of time they start aging again.

4. As seen in Joshua, 'shifters can be turned into werewolves but it is unknown whether they can be turned into vampires or not. They live with both forms, being able to shift to their animal forms at will and shift to their wolf forms with just a thought.

5. 'Shifters find their mates in a process called "imprinting." It's random and sometimes it takes years before a 'shifter finds their mate.

6. The most well known pack of 'shifters are led by a 'shifter named Jaehyun. He is known to be the older brother of a 'shifter by the name of Daniel who is one of the most well known vampire hunters in the world.

Vampires:

Why have a wolfau with shapeshifters if I don't include vampires xD.

Random facts:

1. They can go into the sun, no they do not sparkle.

2. They can drink animal or human blood, though animal blood isn't as filling as human blood is.

3. A stake to any vital organ can kill them, turning their body to ashes.

4. A vampire is turned by a bite with venom injected into the bloodstream. It takes up to a day to turn.

5. Their eyes turn black when they unleash their vampire side, either from hunting or being extremely pissed off.

6. They can run fast, able to get to their prey quickly that way.

7. Animal drinking vampires are called "vegetarians" and are known to be more friendly towards others than human drinking vampires.

8. As seen in Chani, if a vampire goes an extended period of time without drinking human blood they slowly start to lose their sanity. It is unknown whether they can snap out of it or not.

9. The most well known coven, or group of vampires, is in Italy where every year vampire hunters go take out the increasing population of vampires to balance things out.

Animal-humans:

You're probably very curious as to what they are. Well, if you've ever seen the anime wolf's rain it's basically the same concept.

Random Facts:

1. They have an illusion of a human form. It's a way to survive in a world where their homeland is slowly being taken over by humans in some places.

2. They can tell if they are using their human illusion or not.

3. The most notable species to become an animal human are wolves. It is known that other species have become like this but they aren't as well known.

4. There are wolf-humans who became this way from werewolves who had their wolves extracted, the werewolf's wolf becoming a host for the person who was brought back. The only known wolf-humans coming from this way so far are: Jisung, Hyunjin and Hyungwon.

5. The most well known pack of wolf-humans belongs to Sungjin who leads his pack and vampire hunters on the annual Italy runs.

And there you have it folks, there's the various species that are currently in my specific series of WolfAUs.

Now onto the FAQ's that people might have:

1. Why small groups? Why not a group like EXO?

Well, for one not all of the groups are small. The biggest main group in terms of popularity I had was BTS. I also included Seventeen and GOT7 at one point. I write for small groups and include big groups to expose the small groups to my readers while including more popular groups. Also I do include EXO but they are not the main group in the story. They are mentioned though if you squint. I do talk about Kris and Chanyeol a lot in the stories so

2. Is all you're going to do is odd ships?

Yes, again I want to start including small groups in my stories as I go. BUT. If you squint and look very closely you will find a canon pairing in there somewhere. Also it makes planning more exciting because odd ships are fun to write about in this sort of AU.

3. What is Kris's role in the story since you mention him a ton?

He's the CEO of Dragon Enterprises and a turned werewolf, a bank that vampire hunters use. He also gives jobs to werewolf packs so they can have money. There are various safe houses scattered throughout the US and Canada. Working for Kris guarantees safety, allowing werewolf packs to be safe from werewolf hunters.

4. What is Chanyeol's role?

He's a turned werewolf who is a vampire hunter, leading one of the biggest factions in the world. A lot of vampire hunters belong to his faction, with a lot of them branching off to create their own factions. His betas, Doyoung and Taeyong lead the most well known team in the world that are humans.

5. Will you include anyone else?

Jongdae is mentioned, but they only know him from his large territory in the southern United States. So he'll only be mentioned. I also mentioned Suho like once. xD Yeah. EXO is not going to have a big role in my specific set of WolfAUs.
