Writing as a Career??

Have you ever have a dream that you think you can't ever reach??

Well, I have. I am currently a student... I mean university student.

I am in love with writing very much and I consider to make writing as my career... But is it possible??

I am very torn right now.

I want to become a scriptwriter and want to make money from writing but because of lacking experience, sometimes I can't let out the idea.

Is there anyone with the same problem with me?

Is there any chance to make it as my career?

It is become my main problem right now.

I am 21 years old yet still doesn't have a stable job.

I am afraid actually but will my dream comes true?

My day job is being an ESL teacher. I write for Fiverr and a local SEO place. I am not a published romance novelist coz I am bad with deadlines. So don't be like me and do not spend x of years going for it. Being a "starving artist" is hard. But you have either let your dream go or regret not trying. So I vote to try and get a fall back writing gig later.

i’m the same age as you, and i understand your pain. but if you really believe in something then you have to work hard for your dreams. sometimes this even means getting another job to support yourself so you can become a writer later on. put your work out there and do everything that you can to show off your potential. nothing is impossible. don’t give up!

You can achieve anything you want if you put your mind to it. Look at J-Hope. He’s so proud that he achieved his goal of releasing his own mixtape and it’s amazing to see how well received it is after all of his hard work. What are you studying at university? Is it writing related?

There is nothing impossible as long as you never stop working hard.
To achieve things in life, as my lecturer told us, you have to be persistent. Stick up to your goals, never stop learning as well as never stop practicing and working hard.
But if it is yet to happen, don't give up. Just looking for one stable job with decent paying to keep support your living as you rooted on your path towards your dream; it's not easy alright, but if your dream and passion for it is big enough, it will actually worth it.

Best of luck for you

I think it's good that you have a dream and that you actually know what you want to do. In my opinion , I think you should try to gain as many experience as you can like writting for Uni play , theater , and etc. Try to sent your work to as many people as you can. From there , you will actually learn and see where you actually stand. Try having a back up plan as well . Work other side jobs as well so that you can balance things off. Usually , it'll take time for things to actually work out. So you need to have a plan. Nothing is impossible . All you need is perseverance and hard work. Believe in yourself and believe more in your dreams. All the best to you. I will be cheering on you

As a 22 year old ghostwriter - it's perfectly possible but very hard!
