On January 30, Taeyeon's half-up-half-down bangs were a hot topic with fans on online community sites. The below screencaps were posted with the caption, "She did half fried and half sauced chicken."

On a previous V Live during her promotions for her 2017 track "Fine", Taeyeon explained the wise reasoning behind her bangs. She revealed, "Fans got into an intense fight about whether I looked good with my forehead covered by bangs or uncovered. That's why I decided to do half and half."
