APPEARANCE : 

— As a faerie, Mihye is short and slight by nature. She takes very good care of her skin and hair because to a faerie, those are the most important aspects of appearance. Her eyes are a sort of honey brown, which is rare in faeries, as most have dark eyes. Faeries are not allowed to cut their hair, so Mihye's hair is very long, reaching the end of her back, just above her , but it's stopped growing (mostly because I'm not an and don't want her to suffer the pains of long hair LOL; btw her hair is black). Like all faeries, Mihye is quite attractive in that she possesses an almost-otherworldly beauty. (Lol that was bad but I was running out of descriptions).

FASHION STYLE :

— Mihye prefers normal, everyday clothes that she can walk in (something like this or this). However, because she has to deal with customers, and because she's in the middle-class, Mihye is pretty much obligated to wear better dresses (this, this, this). She often prefers leather boots to normal shoes (whatever shoes most middle-class women wear) because she walks around a lot. She also likes to wear more muted colors, although pink and red fit her the best. While she doesn't get the chance to wear pants a lot, she does wear them on very rare occasions (like on herb-gathering trips). (yo if you need more just ask I was too lazy to write)

PERSONALITY : First off, Mihye will do anything she sets her mind to. This girl, when she makes up her mind to do something, she'll get it done even if she dies trying. The phrase "give up" is not in Mihye's dictionary. Surprisingly enough, she's also an optimistic person. In addition to being the typical smiley-virus (she's really good at dealing with panicking patients), she wants life (and whatever situation she's in) to end up good for herself (and people she cares about). From that, you would think she's a selfish person, and maybe she is, but she does genuinely care about people she likes and respects. Intelligence is something you shouldn't underestimate, especially from someone such as Mihye. She likes to know stuff, even if it seems useless. She won't use that knowledge against you, but it's definitely not beneath her to blackmail you with it... And I suppose a part of being intelligent is being adaptable. You need to know how to survive in any surrounding, and Mihye can do just that. She can use the terrain and situation and turn it to her advantage, especially since she knows most of the herbs and plants in the wild.

Mihye is a faerie, which makes her naturally mischievous and cunning. While she's very intelligent and is completely able to ruin someone's life, she usually tends more towards practical pranks (water bucket on the doorframe, turd as a present, stuff like that). She's also very nature-oriented and will run off towards the forest to spend time there, so she knows the terrain very well and can use that to her advantage if she's ever playing hide-and-seek in the woods. Of course, just because she won't do harm doesn't mean she can't, and with her knowledge and nature, Mihye is definitely able to plan some good strategies to ruin and not getting caught.

Maybe it comes with being a faerie, but Mihye is extremely ambitious. Knowledge may be power, but power is the key to heaven and hell both. With power, there is nothing Mihye wouldn't be able to do. This casts her in a bad light, but honestly, she probably wouldn't do anything too bad. Unsurprisingly, Mihye is quite vain. She takes great pride in her appearance, which is probably justified (there's another thing: she's obsessed with shiny things, like mirrors or jewelry). Unfortunately, Mihye is also very shy can come off as cold. She likes to spend time alone and hence understands herself very well (although the same can't be said for other people). I just realized that I did not write the sensitivity part, so here we go (I knew this paragraph was a little short lol). Working in public services, Mihye knows she has to be thick-skinned in order to deal with rude customers, but that doesn't stop her from getting defensive when people tell her that her remedies don't work (because they do) or angry when people discriminate against her because she's a faerie. It does make her a little self-conscious, though, and sometimes she can't help running the words over in her mind.

BACKGROUND : Mihye is the child of two middle-class faeries. They run a family apothecary, which has been a family business for four generations (not including Mihye's generation). [Okay, here I'm going to run through something with you because idk how the world plays out, but I thought that it'd be cool if there was some prejudices back in the day, and Mihye's ancestors started the shop to try to get rid of some of that prejudice.] In any case, the apothecary's always provided the family with food and shelter, and because Mihye's the eldest child, it's her job to take over the apothecary. Yeah, I forgot to mention that Mihye has a sister called Jihye, who's two years younger. Anyway, Mihye grew up in the big city, went to school with all sorts of different people, and she grew up to be very inspired by all the stories she's heard and started telling her own stories. Being a faerie, she has an innate charm, and people were into her stories, and they told her to start writing. Unfortunately, Mihye was always busy with learning how to do apothecary work, so she never had much time to write. But when she writes, hoo boi, a whole 'nother world pops up beneath her fingertips.

Bruh idk what to write here XD but basically she grew up a middle-class kid who was, uhh, not oppressed per se, but like, some people still sort of judged her for being fae. She grew up hearing all these cool stories from all the different people in the city, and she started her writing career by first telling stories by mouth. Her fae ancestry also lends to this because there are some legends that are only passed down orally (there's one on Avalon, the rumored lost land, there's one on pixie dust and how the fae lost it, etc). She spent all her free time learning herbs, combing through the woods, and learning how to manage the shop, so she hardly ever got time to write.

Ooooh boi I forgot to expand on the apothecary part!!! Basically, her parents started teaching her from a very young age about herbs and stuff, and she picked up really quickly. They had some trouble getting her to focus, though, so they thought they'd make it interesting by taking her out into the woods when they gathered herbs, and it worked! Things got a little more iffy when Mihye grew older because she doesn't like dealing with people so much, but she eventually did learn how to manage rude customers, how to ask people for specific symptoms, etc. She recognizes every single herb they use and basically mans the shop while her parents make poultices and remedies and stuff.

There's not much to say. Mihye's always been the kind of person who doesn't express her feelings, and Sijin knows that (look at me, putting my own character in ;))

He doesn't say much, but he was one of Mihye's earliest storytellers, and she knows that he'll stick up for her.

Sometimes, Mihye finds her sister extremely annoying, and their fights can get physical and last weeks! In the end, though, they're still family. (Jihye is arguably more important than the parents.)

Aerin is Mihye's best friend, and there's very little that they would keep secret from each other. Mihye is sweet, and Aerin is spicy, so they end up being a nice balance (look at the other character insert lol).

Shiqin is Jihye's best friend, so Mihye doesn't know her very well, but nonetheless, she tries to buy her fruit from Shiqin, who especially stocks up on raspberries for her.

Okay, he's not really an enemy, but because his parents' social statuses are just a little bit higher (his mother is Mihye's mother's sister), he takes every chance to dangle that over Mihye's head. Other than that, though, she thinks he could be a cool guy.
