— hansol is quite the diligent and hardwoking guy. when his mother left them, he studied hard to not cause any problems for his father. he worked hard toward his studies, vocal and dance lessons. and he also took care of his younger sister when his father needed to stay back at shcool because of numerous papers to correct. he will help his father witht the chores at home and even help his sister with her homework. basically, who ever is in need of help, he will give them a hand even in the simplest way. hansol also practiced day and night until he can get the routines of the choreographies correctly and even if he did get them correctly, he will still practice them until he cannot move his limbs anymore.

though hansol has his own set of positive traits, he also has his negative ones as well. hansol is known to be a ladies' man. he keeps flirting with any girl he deems interesting. he will go out to dates with them however, if he finds them dull or uninteresting, he will dump them without a second thought -even in the most public of places. and even though people keep telling him that this attiude of him is not good (and he knows it), he doesn't change himself at all. also, if he has something he doesn't like, he will brutally say what is on his mind. he will not care whether it will hurt the feelings of that person or not.

background

— kim hansol's family is not the wealthiest family there is. he was born on february 29, 1996 in a family consisting of a younger sister and a father. of course, he once had a mother however, he erased her after she left their family for another man who was more financially stable than his dad. that happened after he entered middle school.

hansol always did good in school, too afraid of making trouble for his single parent. he knew his father was already having problems supporting him and his younger sister since the only income they have was coming from his father's wage as a teacher. even though they were financially unstable, his father continued to support his dream of becoming an idol through paying for his vocal and dance lessons.

a few years later, when money are constantly coming to their family, hansol brought his own drum set and thought himself how to play it (through instructions on the internet). his interest in music grew stronger when he met his seniors, namjoo and jisoo. the three of them became close friends and together they practiced their music and gave each other advices. later on, after hansol mastered the drums, he continued to explore music and brought a trumpet.

when high school started, hansol couldn't help but confess his feelings for namjoo and the two started dating. later on that same year, namjoo auditioned for plan a ent and was accepted while jisoo successfully auditioned for yg ent. feeling left out, hansol also auditioned to numerous labels however, he failed to become a trainee so, he focused on his studies and improving his vocals, rapping and dancing.

a year later, namjoo broke up with hansol saying that it was not working for them and she has to focus on her studies as well as her training. hansol understood her reasoning however, a few weeks later, he was able to read in the tabloids that namjoo was dating another artist. he felt betrayed which made him to doubt any commitments there is.

hansol, later on, auditioned for song media and fortunately, he got accepted. he trained his off to reach his dream (and get namjoo out of his mind). after years of training, when it was announced that he will be debuting with the other members of jump in, he was ecstatics. finally, he's a step closer to his dream. however, 2015 was a year full of debuting groups such as seventeen, gfriend, monsta x, twice, ikon and even up10tion. jump in wasn't able to keep up with the other rookie groups thus, leaving them behind.

when their exposure and promotions halted, hansol focused on improving his rapping even more, diligently practicing each day to the point of straining his vocal chords and exhausting himself just to perfect the choreographies. later, on 2016, song media announced that he will creat a new coed group with the members of jump in with new female members.
