► Haru is someone who is always up for a challenge and for traveling, making her an adventurous character. She is very athletic, she likes running in order to keep fit. She also enjoys playing archery and going swimming with her brother. She is someone who daydreams a lot, making her an idealistic.The twins are very flexible and both went to martial arts classes in London and continued in Korea, so can perform tumbling and splits. Haru is a helpless romantic, who usually watches cute dramas.

► However, she is quite childish, but this is part of her charms, and its what makes her unintentionally funny. Despite being childish when it comes to her work she is really diligent and focused. Haru is cautious with what she does, but that can be seen as not letting go and giving things a chance initially. Haru is rather messy and tends to leave things behind her especially in terms of eating. She has no worry about keeping up a fake image and would rather be silly and fun. This can be a downfall to the life of an idol. Haru is rather sensitive, and a huge softie, so she prefers to be nice and kind when letting people down.

► Haru is the middle child of a rather wealthy household. She grew up with morals and manners, due to her dad's strict upbringings. Her father works as a CEO of his fashion company. Her mother is a retired police officer, who quit her job once the twins were born. Her father came from a very poor family whilst their mother came from a middle-class family, so they were taught not to take anything for guarantee. 

At the age, of 7 the twins and their family went to London, to further establish their father's company. However, they struggled to cope and adapt to a foreign country. They waited until the junior final year before returning back. Their father came back to Korea with their older brother so the twins focused on their studies and learning English, whilst there. 

Back in Korea, the twins become engrossed with music and culture again. This is where their joint love and passion for music came to light. One day they went to a karaoke with friends at the age of 12, (2012) the girls were just messing about, but their friends stopped them. And told them their voices put together and separately sounded really idol-like and that they should try to audition. The girls began to listen to KPOP with more interest.

 

The first band, Haru finds out about is, Apink and Bomi become her idol. She wants to become a variety and a great vocalist like her one day. Amber becomes her shared role model with her sister. She's someone who is not afraid to speak her mind. She comes across Seventeen, whilst watching Seventeen TV. At first, she just likes the whole band... until later on during the show when she finds Joshua. He's someone she can relate to from coming from another country, but also he's someone who tries his hardest, and she becomes motivated to do the same.

The twins decide, with their parent's agreement that they will audition once they are 13 years old.

► The twins auditioned for Pledis together, unfortunately, Hanui did not pass. Haru was thinking of rejecting their offer, when Hanui pushed her foreword to achieve her dreams and to not worry about herself. The first few weeks of training was torture for Haru who had not separated from her twin since birth. However, upon her twin getting accepting into Plan A ent, Haru found her goal once again and worked extremely hard. Debut was not too far away, as she trained with other trainees unlike her twin who had no other female trainees. But when Pledis announced Pledis Girlz, she was not included in the line up. She figured it was because she still lacked a lot as a trainee, or maybe it was something to do with her time at the entertainment. She did not think it was because they had bigger plans, and thought she could debut solo one day or put her onto a show.
