Comments

Does anyone have any idea how to get your subscribers to actually comment lol? It kinda bums me out when my story has over 300 subs but only 11 comments, of course I am happy about each sub and comment but it's kinda discouraging.

Anyway does anyone have any suggestions?

I tend to leave suspenseful endings to give the readers "something to talk about" in the comments lol. I do notice that chapters marked "M" or "TW" get more views than the ones that don't. I get an average of 4-6 comments per chapter with over a hundred subscribers haha so we're in the same boat I think. Sometimes I get even as low as 2 or 3 per chapter.
I appreciate every comment I get and thank them for the feedback. I like to upvote comments which aren't spam too so they might be motivated to leave more comments in the future.
Good luck ^^

It's kinda painful indeed. I just wish there's a regulation that you can't read further without commenting at least 10-20 words lmao. But hey, you can at least leave an author note kindly saying that a comment would be nice, don't blackmail them though... I feel like when I read something and I got blackmailed, the more lazy and irritated I am to read.
As long as you're enjoying the piece that you're writing, I'm sure they enjoy it too. So kindly ask them to comment (i.e, a comment will be very appreciated!) or shoutout those people who have commented so they will feel like they gotta comment again! Also connecting with readers is a beautiful thing, send a wallpost to the subscribers with a thank you for subscribing and kindly ask for feedback in the comment if they don't mind. :)
All the best, hun!

You just have to understand that there's a lot of silent readers in your thread my dear. Don't be discouraged.
As long as there's people out there who reads your stuff, you should all the more be encouraged to continue what you're doing.

Good luck!
