The 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III: THE WINGS TOUR Wings tour coverage and an inside look into the world of the wind beneath BTS’ wings: the ARMY.

The article I wrote for #BTSWingsTourManila is out now and available inside Pulp Magazine’s Kpop Annual Report (Issue #193). I also wrote an album review for BTS’ latest EP: Love Yourself 承 ‘Her’. 

In early 2014, I friend of mine showed me a video of a dance practice featuring 7 boys… a group whom I never thought would have such a huge impact in my life. They were the reason I began writing on Tumblr and became more confident in sharing my stories online. I wouldn’t be the published author that I am today if it weren’t for them inspiring me to write fan fiction.

In December of the same year, I watched them in concert (Red Bullet in Manila) and I wanted so badly to write them a fan letter. I did but it never made the magazine when the Kpop annual report was published. In 2016, they had another concert but I was still unable to write for them due to my busy schedule…

Last year, February 2017, I decided I was really going to do something about this dream of mine and so I contacted the wonderful miss Happy Sy to request for a chance to write for BTS in their magazine. A few weeks later, I got a reply, and was surprised to have been given the job to write the concert coverage for BTS’ Wings Tour.

And now the magazine is out and seeing my words against these pages—writing about a group who had done so much for me just through their music makes me so happy that it has brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure we’ve all been a fan of someone and we all wanted to do something for them, right? To thank them for inspiring us and even for saving us…

BTS played big part in my writing career—their music had inspired many of my short stories and this is one of the ways I wanted to show them how much I appreciate their art and how much I love them. My words in this article are my gift to them, and even if they don’t know me, that’s okay. I’m just glad to have done this for them… As a fan, as someone whom they touched with their own story.

It is also my gift for ARMYs, who became my friends and who have supported my blog and works, which lead to the growth of my writing and eventually led to the publication of my first book. I’ve never been part of a fandom so passionate and loyal, and I’m proud to be part of the ARMY.

THANK YOU SO MUCH miss Happee and sir Vernon for giving me this chance to write for your magazine. You have made this fangirl very happy and have made one of my dreams come true.
