CAN YOU BELIEVE IT BABES?????? We are very nearly at the end of 2017. And so, with less than 15 minutes to go until next year (my time at least) its time for me to do my somewhat annual rundown of the year, my rambly messy thank yous and a really short, condensed fic meme as im tired!!! 

First and foremost, as ever, I have to thank all of you for being here with me. Like i always say, regardless if you've been here since my first fic or if you've only just read one of my stories, i love and care for you so so so so so much you don't even know it. Every single comment, upvote, subscribe here or on asianfanfics, every twitter follower, every tumblr follower (even though i am rarely on tumblr these days twitter is mostly my home!) means so much to me and i am forever grateful and in awe of how lovely everyone is to me. I don't thikn I deserve it but I am achingly grateful nonetheless. I personally feel like I might have gone off the boil a bit this year, mostly owing to the fact I had A Level exams and then the move to university, but rest assured that my desire to write (and my love for kaisoo) hasn't dropped in the slightest and it is aLL THE FAULT OF THE STUPID EXAMS AND STUFF that have taken away a lot of my time and energy. 

I am hoping next year I will have more time! I can't make any promises of course, but so far (touch wood) i've been pretty good at managing my time with university work and real life stuff so writing will hopefully become easier. I'm aware that uni gets a loooooot harder in my second year, but IM NOT READY TO GIVE UP QUITE YET!! 

I have at least one fic im hoping to finish in time for kaisoo day, so you should see me again very soon. I'm praying to all the gods out there that I will be able to do my usual 3 days of kaisoo fics but i really dont know if im going to finish enough in time :(((( also because my january will be quite busy (i have procrastinated faaarrrr too heavily over christmas!) so my workload will be quite big but im willing to give it a shot for you all!! !! 

ANYWAY THATS A LOT OF NOT 2017 ROUNDUP SO HERE WE GO: yes, 2017. It's been a wild year, both in ficdom/fandom and in real life, but we have made it guys!!! Theres been a lot of sadness but also a lot of happiness as well and i hope we can hold onto that as we head into next year. Either way, at least it hasn't been as as 2016.... like....... idk if i believe in god but the big man really had it in for us all last year like wtf????? 

my plea to you all also for 2018 will be to please do not let people take the fun out of fandom for you. of course, please don't do/say anything hurtful/offensive/rude/hateful etc, but i do feel like recently there has been a lot of fandom policing going on and its just... getting a bit ridiculous. Please, freak out over your ships, scream about your faves, AJSDMBFHSDMBFHDBFD with every last fibre of your being. As long as you are not targeting/hurting anyone else, what you do and what you enjoy is entirely up to you. You have freedom of thought and freedom to enjoy yourself. I'm not sure where these people have got the idea that they have the traits to be the moral high ground but /shrugs/. FANDOM IS FUN!!!!!!!! Do not hesitate to block/mute/ignore the annoying people and remember why you love fandom <3333

As for writing, I think this has actually been a really good year despite the fact i haven't written as much as I wanted to. I looked back at my first year fic writing goals, and got a little choked up to realise that i have actually ticked them all off :'))))) i never imagined achieving that much and of course you have all been part of the journey so THANK YOU AGAIN (ok this is cheesy heLP but im on a roll i cant stop) 

I had the opportunity to take part in and mod fic fests which was a crazy experience but its been a goal to tick off and i diD IT 

I feel like i say this a lot but honestly I feel like fandom is something of a home. everyone makes me feel so loved and welcome and i think thats a very special thing. I hope we can all continue to love and support EXO in 2018. 

Also, shout out to kaisoo as ever for existing and being talented and gorgeous and incredible and amazing humans and also the greatest ship in the history of ships (im not biased i swear) and may they continue to bless us with moments in 2018. 

HAVE I RAMBLED AS MUCH AS I WATNED TO I ACTUALLY THINK I HAVE WOW. ok so, im going to do a tiny lil fic meme thing because i feel like i should and i ofc want to. I might do a full one later becauset this kinda stuff really interests me ok im a nerd leave me alone

Which fandoms have you written for? 

EXO, EXO, and EXO again. Every single fic I've written this year has been kaisoo (pretend to be shocked everyone thank u)

Favourite fic you've written this year? 

Without a doubt, clair de lune. wolf au, im trash but also because it was the longest thing ive written (thats not chaptered) and i just... i just really like it aaaah

Hardest fic to write this year? 

Probably like sweet magic, more specifically part two. I started writing it and the first part flowed so easily, but the second part came right in the middle of exams so it had to be put on hold, then uni came around, and then i was paranoid that my writing was good enough and it wasn't harry potter-y enough and im stILL not finished!!! but dont worry, the 3rd and final part will be coming in 2018 (sometime!) 

Most popular fic of the year? 

With just a quick scan of my works it's proabbly been Something I Gotta Say (Tom and Jerry). I thikn with the original AO3 reads clair de lune comes close but i think the enemies to lovers pips it. 

Easiest fic to write this year? 

Probably bambi on ice?? i mean it wasn't easy, but i managed to write the whole thing and get it posted within four hours, so at least the words and the ideas were flowing well which made it somewhat easier than other fics where i got stuck!!!

New Years Resolutions? 

As ever, to stay happy and healthy, and I wish that for everyone else too. 

I hope to write more kaisoo goodness and to ACTUALLY FINISH SOME OF TEH 1001 WIPS I HAVE SAVED grrrrrrrrrrr it will happen eventually. 

also, non fic related but i really hope i learn how to drive this year and pass my test hehehehe
