it's been a long time since I write/post something here. There is no specific reason of why do I suddenly drop this. After thinking and re-thinking again, there are so many memorable things happened already in this past year, 2017. Some were exciting and some were saddening. 

The most dissapointment is that there are still many people didn't realize the true value of Exo. So, here I am stating. 

Exo is a singer. 

They sing, and they CAN sing. All of them were street-casted except Kai but that doesn't mean they were chosen only by visual. You guys, who had been living Kpop life, are trulh understand every single idols debuted after trained for several years. They were not just debut to stay calm behind their visual, which envitably is A PLUS if they had. 

If you talk about Sehun, that he can't really sing. Well, let me tell you, he TRIED his best everytime. Every single time. This year he even released a solo which he wrote lyrics himself. I know it doesn't much but give him a second chance if you doubt. I am not sure he was trained to be a main vocalist therefore he may appears weak if you COMPARE him to others. But if you look good in every people, even you could be friend with a devil. 

And every single of them is a singer. Yes, they ever lipsync in some ocassion but that doesn't mean they are talent-less. They DiD sing for their song in the album, they recorded their voice, which then yes, helped by some mixing but it's the fact : they sing from their own mouth, they do not use someone else's voice. And if you look more to their LIVE or when they do acapella/acoustic, you'll hear clearly their voice. Yes again, it sounds just the SAME. Even better than in their CDs.

A person who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singers perform music (arias, recitatives, songs, etc.) that can be sung with or without accompaniment by musical instruments. 

So to say that everyone can sing, you may say that, but not everyone is a singer. Because it needs a special proficieny to produce beautiful melody from your mouth to be accepted by listener. 

Exo is a singer. They have that special proficiency to produce beautiful melody coming out from their mouth when sings, with or without music/instrument. They use their sense in rhythm, tone, and some techniques in producing their voices. And it wasn't debatable because they perform good not in their song but also in cover song which they didn't own. 

And because Exo is a singer, they might not produce their own song. They didn't write the lyric, compose and arrange the music, no, they did not and they don't have to. Even though it's, once again, A PLus if they did. But you cannot force them to work on their entire album, like many others (maybe) did. The others who did that, I respect them with all of my heart, they are talented af but it won't make Exo is less talented in my eyes. 

To be able to perform a song exquistely, to be able to express the lyrics in it and deliver them to listener, is not an easy work. There are some people good in writing beautiful poet, turning them into lyrics and composing instruments to add its value however, they might not be able to perform whay they meant, what they truly means while thinking about it in the first place. Thus it's singer's job to make it comes true. To deliver what people produced before. And for me, Exo have a splendid jobs done. Because everytime they sing and perform, I believe in what they deliver to me. If the song was crazy and outloud, I'll be hyping but if it was sentimental, I'll cry if I should while listening to it. Because that's how it is to be able to touch listener's heart.

I didn't even stan exo before 2015, after love me right era to be exact, but Overdose has been my must-listen-song everytime I worked on my assignments or project because it has the spirit to makes me awake and fire me up. And everytime Growl playing, even after I saw the clip, I keep thinking on What song is this? Whose song is this? it replays on my mind sometime and addictive. I was not even exaggerating it. 

That's what singer's job, and I will do a standing ovation for them if I could for their works. 

And you shouldn't be salty if Exo would win award for their Album. It's not only for their work as a singer but also for all of the work from people behind. The people who spend their time and brain to make a complete music in an album for listener. So if you downgraded Exo for winning the award, you were downgrading the effort all the people involved. It's not only for Exo but for the staff even the janitor who swept the recording floor. Yet, how could you be so disrespect to those people? They work as hard as your parents, to support the whole family. It's not a one-man job. It's a whole crew, whole lot of people's work. 

And so

Exo is a singer. It's a valid fact. Either it's individual or as group, they are singers. Performers. They do what they have to do, more or less. 

If you start to open your eyes without excuses, you'll be able to see the true value of Exo as singer. If you don't want to then don't disrespect them. Don't say the otherwise. Keep your opinion for yourself.
