I do not often write messages like these since I am not fond of sharing a lot of personal information about myself on the internet but Jonghyun's case has gotten me. 

Some of you might know me as a writer who mainly writes about f(x) and TWICE, but SHINee has a special place in my heart, one that I cannot bring under words. They were the group that dragged me into K-pop (with Ring Ding Dong, yes, I know it's weird). Jonghyun was the first who stood out to me. His vocals, his face, his moves. He was the one who made me come back. 

And even though I eventually chose another bias and even though SHINee did not turn out to be my bias group, SHINee has always and will always have a special place. What happened with Jonghyun has touched me so deeply that I don't know if that part will ever be the same again. SHINee is not SHINee with four members. Jonghyun deserved better and I know it's foolish to think but I wish I could have done something for him. I knew about his mental state but I would have never guessed that this would happen... 

Let's honour him appropriately. Be respectful to his family, his friends, the other members and try to protect other idols in the K-pop industry who suffer(ed) from the same mental illness as Jonghyun did. Let's not forget him and let him live in our memories. 

A star who once shone bright on stage, will now shine bright in the sky. 
Jonghyun-ah, I will not forget you.
