Just curious

Why do some readers apologize for a 'long comment'?

If you do this, is there a reason why?

Because if anything I can assure you authors appreciate longer, insightful comments rather than super vague one-liners.

So if you happen to leave a long comment, please don't be sorry.

I don't know why readers apologize for writing long comments. They should know that long comments are the best ones. Long comments show writers that they (the readers) have read and appreciate their work. Even if they include constructive criticism, they're still appreciated. I go over the moon whenever I receive one. Long comments make me happy and feel satisfied with what I'm posting :)

Long comments are the best! It always makes me happy when someone leaves a long insightful comment on one of my stories. It feels as if they thoroughly enjoyed reading it and have a lot to say about it, something i'm forever grateful for.
