fleur grew up believing that her parent's marriage was the ultimate goal. she adored the way her father looked at her mother with so much love and devotion that she would often refer to them as the king and queen. her mother would tell her bed time stories of royalty in castles and knights slaying dragons for the love of their lives. in the back of her mind, fleur wanted those adventures in her modern day life, princes and all.

it wasn't till her highschool days when she realised that maybe princes' weren't all what they cut out to be. most popular kids in sydney were the tanned, blonde shaggy haired boys who either surfed or skated in their spare time. fleur's eventual adoration for girls creeped up on her and she accepted this preference with ease. it wasn't that boys were completely repelling to her, it's just that princesses were way cuter.

the offer to live abroad came to fleur in the form of her aunt. she accepted the chance immediately and packed her bags without looking back. it was in los angeles that began her interest in youtube. she had a sparse few cousins in la thanks to her aunt that kept her company on the first night of her new life and obviously, drinking was involved. somehow in the mix of the night, most of the drunk cooking that took place in fleur's small flat was filmed. a few months later her presence on social media as delafleur grew and so did her videos, changing from the usual drunk cooking to music covers.
