Nami grew up being a natural hard working person due to her uncle and aunt's influence. she's go getter and idealist, she does everything according to her plan and work diligently until she gets the result she wanted. Nami was born in seoul, south korea to a it consultant father and a chef mother as an eldest of fraternal twin girls. Nami was born on january 2nd of 1994, only to be abandoned at the hospital days after she was born. nami was sent to an orphanage for two weeks until someone finally came and that was her father's younger brother. without hesitation he took the custody of her, he raised her with his wife. three years after she was taken in under their custody, her uncle was blessed with a daughter. her uncle and aunt loved her more and thought of her as a lucky blessing that gave them their own child. her aunt raised her like her own and refused to let her call her aunt and instead nami started calling her 'ma'. with her aunt's parenting nami became good at sports and graduated middle school at the top of her class. At age 13, her aunt gave birth to a baby boy; nami were very anxious but that was a when her uncle decided to officially adopt her. it was awkwards for nami but because she feels so thankful, she worked so hard and got into a good college in seoul, yonsei. but her aunt told her it's okay to be what she wanted, despite that she went ahead to seoul after graduation and without a university acceptence, she was confident. but as soon as she arrived, she had a sudden curiousity about her parents, out of curiosity she went to the library and found an article with her parent's name, it was small, but it was something. She talk to her aunt immidiately after and told her that her father embezzled a lot of money from his work and fled after she was born. she never felt so betrayed and anger. she wanted to know more and why she was abandoned. she went to police but none would help her and she then knew she had to do it herself. she decided to become a detective and whatever reason her parents did, she wanted them punished for their crimes and mostly for abandoning a newborn child,her. when she told her aunt her plans. her aunt reminded her again that she can do what she want and she still be her daugther. she got accepted after applying for criminal psychology at yonsei.

they had met once during nami's job, but they only exchange name and business card. althought that time, nami was under cover and he had no idea who she really was. her name was fake and it was a shock when they met again.

At first, she was very professional and only business talk was allowed. everytime he tries to talk to her she would instantly draw a line and tell him straight that she is not interested in making friends with criminals. but after a lot of time spending together, she gave up drawing the lines bit by bit. only after they got close she thinks of him like a childish self righteous guy that reminds her of eric, her brother. as time pass she would rely on him more.
