my prediction for wanna one members after they go separate ways

Apart from Minhyun, who'll most definitely return to Nu'est (I don't doubt their bond) (petition for Nu'est to leave Pledis together if Pledis is gonna neglect them for 17 like seriously Pledis get your together DON'T SLEEP ON NU'EST), this is what I think will happen to the rest after they stop promoting as Wanna One.

Members who would 10/10 debut into a new boy band

  • Jihoon - this boy is pretty much idol material, all-rounder for skills (not particularly excellent in anything, but he's not bad overall, doesn't have a particular skill to call his own so he probably won't be the main anything, probably lead dancer/vocalist or even both), he's the typical skills + face + interest kind, he'll do very well in a new group I believe
  • Daehwi - he's young, talented, extremely well-rounded (more well-rounded than Jihoon tbh), his producing ability will be a huge plus to his group; his company definitely doesn't lack prepared trainees (I mean if they could send 5 onto p101... and there's Woojin!!), he's good on variety shows too; will thrive in a group, but in the far future can move behind the scenes too
  • Woojin - a true gem to any group tbh, his dance + rap + variety sense will be a valuable addition and his company will be stupid to not debut him with Daehwi, he will do really well anywhere with that, and he's definitely one of the members I will root for
  • Jinyoung - not too sure what he's great at (like idk didn't pay much attention to him), not outstanding on variety either, but Jinyoung is definitely idol material and I don't think I can imagine him without a group, his face is also the kind that appeals to Koreans I guess?
  • Guanlin - although I really do not have much to say about his skills, he'll gain lots of attention (and hopefully improve his skills a lot) through Wanna One activities so CUBE definitely debut him with their next boy band

Members who 5/10 will debut into a new boy band

  • Daniel - surprise, surprise, I know; I'm putting Daniel here for a really simple reason: I don't think MMO has enough trainees who are debut-ready (none of other 3 trainees sent on p101 made an impact), and no I don't believe Jisung will be suited for a boy band already; Daniel is 10/10 idol material with that looks + personality + dance + rap + variety sense, and to be very honest if his contract with MMO isn't that tight I think he can go sign under a larger company that can debut him; he'll shine anywhere, but best in a group
  • Jaehwan - if Jaehwan gets signed by a company, he may be debuted with a group as the main vocalist, but there's also a chance he'll be debuted solo, and I think he would do equally great in both case because he's the kind who will do well alone but can also fit well into a team, his vocals and variety sense will be a great addition to any team, but solo may give him more freedom in what music he chooses to do
  • Ha Sungwoon (pardon me lol I always call him by full name) - there's a chance him and Noh Taehyun can debut again together, both of them are so talented and with the attention from p101 they can re-group! Actually I'm not too sure, is Hot Shot disbanded or? Either way I feel Ha Sungwoon will do better in groups so I really hope he can re-debut haha, but he'll be not bad as a soloist either

Members who may not debut as an idol, but as something else

  • Ong - I would say he has 3/10 chance of debuting with a boy band, because IDK IF HIS COMPANY HAS THE TRAINEES TO DEBUT WHY THE WOULDN'T THEY DEBUT ONG OK HE'S SUCH A GEM ARE THEY BLIND; Ong definitely is the group kind, he isn't capable of going solo I think since he isn't that well-rounded, so if his company could debut him it would be best and he can venture into other fiels like acting and MCing after the first few years; the 7/10 chance is that his company will debut him as an actor and he'll become something like Lee Seunggi (actor + MCing/variety + singer), and I'm quite sure he'll do well because this boy is a gem ok A GEM
  • Jisung - Yeah ok I get it that Jisung went through a lot to be where he is and many people are so happy he achieved his dream, but realisitically speaking what's the chances of Jisung re-debuting into a group after Wanna One ends? Jisung is almost 30 and he still hasn't done his military service, by the time he's out of the army he'll be too old to debut as a rookie group. Idol is a youth industry, most idols who are ~30 (Bigbang, SJ, TVXQ) are idols who have a decade or longer of experience and a whole dedicated fanbase + a bonded team that's gone through together (and a team that they've trained together for 2~4 years before debut, most probably), and there's like 99% chance Jisung stands no chance in being an idol again. It would wiser for him to debut as a solo singer (not too sure if he's good enough, never paid much attention to the vocal line except Jaehwan and Ha Sungwoon), and if he has some acting base maybe he can consider venturing into musicals too. I hope he ends up fine man he's gone through quite some tough ><

I know I'm like two weeks late to your blog but I just want you to know that Hotshot is not disbanded. They released Jelly, a single without Sungwoon which is by far their best comeback yet in terms of aesthetics :)))) Currently Taehyun is with JBJ and two of the members Hojeong and Timoteo are going to join The Unit while their center is gone. I actually doubted Hotshot will ever make a comeback because of Taehyun's posts before but it was a pleasant surprise. I hope everything goes well for them. Although I started watching produce101 because of Nu'est, specifically Ren, Taehyun and Sungwoon easily became my faves because they were so damn talented.

Jaehwan on the other hand was already signed by CJ&EM early on after they were announced as winners. My bet is that he will be a solo artist which I would rather much prefer because this company has been total at managing groups.
