Lee Howon leaving Infinite

Hi all,

I know it's been a really long time since I've been active here on aff. I couldn't help but come back here again, writing this blog post, after hearing the news about Hoya. Truth is, a lot of things have been going on in my life and without any new news from Infinite besides "the members looking at the contract in a possitive manner," I sort of set Infinite aside and focused on matters which I felt was more crucial. But I think that AFF has served as a place for me to rant or let out my feelings regarding Infinite. It's funny how about 4 days ago, I started becoming obsessed with Infinite again, watching their fanmeeting videos and all. I dedicated a lot of time in writing my ongoing fanfic and checked on every updates on Infinite. Then, just yesterday, the news about Hoya leaving Infinite came out. I, without doubt, was heart broken. I am sure many Inspirits are. But to think about it again, I think it is too naive to believe that Infinite would last forever - they too are humans with dreams and goals. Especially Hoya, everyone knows him for being hard working and for pushing himself. Of course, I want them to stay as a 7 membered group - I had always boasted about them of being a seven membered group (without any members coming or leaving) for seven years, and it is truly sad that Infinite has became a six membered group.

I believe that Woollim, Hoya and the Infinite members themselves has considered and think about this for a long time. It took them 2 months to finally make an official statement regarding their contract renewal. I genuinely respect Hoya's decision, and I am sure that he will succeed - with or without  Infinite. As I wrote down earlier, we all know Hoya as a hardworking and passionate individual, who also respects his fans. This decision must have been difficult for him, as well as the other members. Thus, I hope that we all can unite and show respect and support for Hoya and the six members who renewed their contract to "protect Infinite." It hurts to see many fan accounts who bashed Hoya and Woollim because of this decision. Woollim and the members had tried their best to convince Hoya to stay, and it was his choice to leave the group. And I honestly think that it would be better for him to leave Infinite rather than renewing his contract and be a part of Infinite filled with doubt and a diminishing passion. Let us be a true Inspirit who supports Infinite - whether it is a 7 membered group, or a 6 membered group - and also Hoya, who has shown his hardwork and love for us for the past 7 years.

I hope you all are doing great, aside from this heart breaking news. If any of you would like to chat/talk with me, I am happy to do so with you! I apologize for not being active lately, but I am going to try my best :) Have a great day everyone!

You're right. We need to bid farawell to Hoya with a smile. The news of him not renewing hurt. A lot. But I respect his decision. I do. And wish him all the best. I will always support him and although he's no longer an INFINITE member he will ALWAYS remain a part of the group. He will always be INFINITE's loveable dancing machine. He's a talented man, a bright future certainly awaits him. And I, as an inspirit promise to always stand by his and the remaining member's sides no matter what.
