I just realized how underrated my BTS ship is last night.

I was scrolling to these ship analysis videos of ships on BTS from a variety of ARMYs. Ever since Bangtan, I've been so open to shipping band members. During my EXO phase, I didn't understand that, but when I saw these seven weirdos, I'm like: "OMG, they could totally be with each other."

Of course, we have THE mothership: NAMJIN. I mean, all bands should have Mom and Dad, right?

Then there's the sunshine meets storm in the form of Hwagae Market, aka SOPE/YOONSEOK

The maknae line seems to be the festival of all ships. It's a fierce competition between JIKOOK and VKOOK. Jungkook is obviously a hot commodity between the 95z and Bangtan fans. 

But there's one ship that totally captured me: soulmates AKA VMIN. 

Yes, I'm a er fro Jimin and Taehyung. Like you won't believe. SO, why did I say they are underrated?

VMIN, ANYONE?

I love BTS ship videos. These usually introduce new fans to the existing ships complete with histories, why they work, and favorite clips. I look forward to watching what other have to say about the ships, particularly VMIN. 

Out of the dozens I watched, however, guess how many showed VMIN?

ONE.

Yes, just one.

It was a video explaining the ships according to the Myer Briggs personality thing. The video discussed all the ships, including VMIN. But that was just about it. 

In AFF, you'll see that VMIN is one of the ships with a few stories solely dedicated to them. It's usually a side pairing to JIKOOK, VKOOK, YOONMIN, and others. The same applies to AO3. I get that people love those ships more than mine, but it's hard not to be sad. Quality fan fic content can be difficult to find; I'm not saying all of the fics are bad, but finding a good sole VMIN fic is like finding a needle in a haystack. 

SERIOUSLY.

So far, out of the hundreds I've read, only TWO struck me: an angsty one about soulmates and one involving a confession note supposedly for Jungkook -- both on AO3. 

Oh and there was that barista!au one where Tae gave Jimin lattes. More on that soon.

I'm not resenting the others. But it just makes me sad. Because I love VMIN so much. 

WHY I SHIP VMIN

The friend who introduced me to the world of EXO is a big KAISOO shipper. Before, I didn't understand what's the big deal with that. She was so into it. I asked her about it and she said: "You know how some people have gone through a lot and you just think: man, is that why they're meant to be?" 

When I met BTS then met Jimin and V, I knew what she meant. 

For some reason, the soulmate thing is a VMIN thing. It's not just being born in 95; their friendship in Bangtan is one of a kind. I saw this thread on Twitter that dished out everything about these two and I'm like: WOW. THEY REALLY SHOULD BE TOGETHER. 

>> Jimin and V have a special bond since they went to HS together. Jimin said it himself: Taehyung was his "savior" during the awkward transition. It couldn't have been easy. But his best bud V was the sunshine that introduced him to other people in class. 

>> They like taking these late night walks. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed. Apart from Namjoon, Jimin is the other person V likes to talk seriously. So maybe they like doing it during these nightly escapades. 

>> The small-big tandem gets me soft. The fact that Tae's hand is too big for Jimin sends shives down my spine. They complement each other on so many levels, I can't even anymore. 

>> THEY HAVE SO MANY MOMENTS. I can name them all, but I'll just drop a few: ISAC2017 (there was spanking involved, people), snow globe from Bon Voyage 2 ("Hey where's mine?" asked Jhope when V just gave Jimin a gift), holding hand photos, drunk Tae kissing Jimin's hip hop monster, date night Satoori vlives, and all that. 

WHAT'S A STARVING VMIN FAN TO DO?

You might be like me, thinking this world needs more quality VMIN. What are we supposed to do?

Never give up! :D 

For one, instead of complaining, let's just write our own. That's my mission: to write as many good vmin fics as I could. This way, I can satisfy those who want to see main pairing Jimin and Taehyung -- soulmates, high school, barista, whatever. I just let it all out by writing. 

Second, KEEP SEARCHING. There are good VMIN stuff out there; we just have to find them

Sorry, it's another episode of my rants and babbles. On the next episode, I shall discuss why I think Jungkook is non-shippable...he is, but I think he's just perfect as EVERYONE'S baby.

And I ship him with myself most of the time...(when I don't feel like marrying Taehyung) :D
