On August 1, G-Friend held their comeback showcase for their 5th mini album 'Parallel' at Yonsei University main auditorium in Seoul.

During their interview with the media, the group mentioned Girls' Generation as their role model. Sowon said, "Girls' Generation sunbaes are our role model. We grew up listening to Girls' Generation so we respect them a lot and would like to congratulate them on their 10th anniversary."

She went on, "One time, our promotions overlapped and because they're a super sunbae, it was really cool as if we were seeing celebrities. All the members were so nice to us so we only have good memories."

Sowon added, "We are so honored to be able to promote together again. There's just so much to learn from Girls' Generation. We hope the members promote their new album safely. We love them."

Yerin commented, "We hope that G-Friend can last long and celebrate our decade long anniversary as well like Girls' Generation," as the members lavished about their sunbae group.
