A few readers have been asking about Yeongjin and whether he is based on anyone. He is! However, that doesn't mean that you can't imagine him as someone of your own choice that you feel fits him better!

Original Inspiration behind Yeongjin was Yijeong from History - they have disbanded *sobs* - specifically from the Queen Music video. Yijeong's whole vibe in the music video left me totally fascinated. In some scenes he looks so effortlessly cool and y (in the beanie and hoodie), then the next moment he is in this suit looking super suave and dapper...his swaggering confidence in the mv is just incredible imo.  His vibe in particular is very Yeongjin, just the way he dances and wears his beanie down low on his face...he kind of has this delinquent vibe? Like a real bad boy who doesn't give a ? THAT is perfect Yeongjin.

As I watched the film clip I started imagining what Yijeong would look like with heaps of tattoos...and then before I knew it this character had suddenly appeared in my head as the perfect guy to sweep Hanbin off his feet. 

So the Yeongjin I imagine has a long face shape very similar to YiJeong's with the same prominent cheekbones, and the exact same mouth. Yijeong tends to show his bottom teeth when he talks and he actually has a rather large, expressive mouth. So the Yeongjin I imagine has that too, it makes him very y! The Yeongjin in my head also had a similar build to Yijeong, except he is taller. Yijeong in real life is fairly short. He also has the same eyes. 

p.s. I just rearranged Yijeong's name to create Yeongjin (after checking Yeongjin is an actual legit Korean male name of course! :P ) 

Reader Inspiration

However, readers have made some really interesting suggestions about who they imagined Yeongjin to look like/be inspired by, and honestly, some of those have really developed the appearance of Yeongjin in my mind. There are two suggestions that I have found particularly good!!

1. Kiji the tattooist - Kim Jisung

So I'm not sure he has an ig account anymore...which is a shame. Maybe too many admirers?!  But here are some pics of him that make him a good candidate for being a Yeongjin inspiration:

So from Kiji the Yeongjin I imagine has those tattoos on his fingers, the blackpatches. Also the two-headed crow on Kiji's neck gave me inspiration for the crow tattoo that Yeongjin has across his shoulder blades.

2. Jung Jaewon -  One, YG Rapper. 

So in some ways Jaewon is waaaay too pretty and handsome to be Yeongjin, at least in my own mind. Yeongjin isn't meant to be dreamily handsome...he is meant to be kind of dangerous looking and attractive despite his flaws. So Jaewon's features are a little soft. HOWEVER, Jaewon's vibe is very Yeongjin, he is very cool, calm, collected, but also quite ual...he has a rather cheeky sense of humour which is quite Yeongjin. That said he is a much more shy than I imagine Yeongjin to be. 

Also his long hair has also made me start imagining Yeongjin with long hair, real skater style haha. This photo reminds me of Yeongjin and his brooding manner: 

Other random inspo

Here are some others that have inspired Yeongjin, at least in regards to his aesthetic:

not sure who this is, sorry ...but his eyes are very Yeongjin to me, and the ink on the hand of course. 

not sure who this is either....but thos tatts are pretty darn hot. 

THIS guy is GREAT. He has a long face and vibe similar to Yeongjin. 

And this guy is awesome too...but once again his face is a little soft, but his aesthetic and hair is very similar to how I imagine Yeongjin.

Christian Yu has also been suggested, even though he doesn't fit the age bracket for Yeongjin, he is an interesting option..

and of course, because of his tattoos, the infamous Jay park. In fact Jay park is pretty glamorous (loves his $$$) Yeongjin, is very much the same...as will be revealed in later chapters..

Ok, so there are lots of idea here about what Yeongjin should look like but just because I imagine him to be Yijeong doesn't mean he HAS to look like that for you. If you have other ideas or suggestions feel free to share them! I am very interested to know how you all imagine him.
