( background ) : nami was born on january second of year nineteen ninety five. to a wealthy korean father and half korean american mother who owns a vineyard in Paju and a winery in ilsan, where she was born. the vineyard and winery was named after her 'nami winery' that their parents' found a year after she was born. nami is the only daughter and youngest child of 3 kids. At age of 4, she was sent to learn ballet and gymnastics; being the only daughter, her mother wishes that she'll be a very graceful lady. ever since kindergarten till high school, she was sent to an international schools so she can be fluent in english and english was the common language spoken in the house by the time she's 10, she started learning hiphop and contemporary dances because she was getting more freedom and her mother got busy at the winery. in middle school, nami joined the school band and choir; she entered a talent show in seoul and won 3rd runner up. then she started to get interested in kpop, she would do covers on youtube. But its was a sad fact that she was an outcast in school, she was shy and aloof. most was afraid of her because of her intimidating polite manner  like a noble but she knew that she wanted to go to a complete foreign school where there are more foreigners whom she feels more comfortable speaking english.

by the time she entered high school, she signed up for a two year exchange program in new zealand. her father was so agaisnt it but she was so determined to go there since she wanted to do something she wanted and he finally let her go. there she found out how popular kpop was and joined a cover group there, she even entered cover contests and won a few times until she feels like it isnt enough.
when she graduates high school, she went back to seoul and told her parents that she wanted to become an idol. her eldest brother laughed at her and her parents was hesistant but she told them that she wasn't asking permission and she was just telling them what she wanted to do. she started sign up for auditions and went to piano, guitar and vocal classes. she also applied for college in music which she was accepted to K-arts. but by end of the year she was 18, she got accepted as a trainee in dsp.
