well, i'm just back from a country that treated me like terrorist suspect for the second time...and they feel justified for it for whatever crap logics...haa....imagine my annoyance...maybe next time i should really prepare some bombs n machine guns...to satisfy them....

and then imagine being even more put off when i go to every other video and articles/blogs...and see crap arguments of produce 101 oppar fans who want to justify oppar's rank with their crap logics....like...'stop saying he don't deserve top 11...he work hard and improved'....

so are you saying other kids in there didn't work hard n improve?

if your oppar is bad n he improved....compared to kids that are already solid....n maybe even still showing improvement n hardwork...does it make sense to say oppar deserve top 11 more?

and i know produce 101 is a popularity show but is there a need to justify it by bragging abt oppar's popularity with your dumb statistics every few seconds....?

and do you need to brag abt oppar leadership proven not a one time thing when obviously he's given the path to become leader again? and he already got an image for it? do you take oppar as an idiot that's unaware of things? i mean oppar debuted longggg ago,....it pains me having to keep seeing overpraise for such thing when i see other leaders doing just as good if not better but getting zero credit/praises for it.

and then bragging about ranking to justify talents/quality when we all know it's nothing deeper than popularity not even stemmed from quality of perfs?

cmon let's not pretend to be deaf n kid ourselves that some/more than some of the eliminated ones/low ranking ones 'deserve' their rank....as much as oppars in top ranking....

don't taint the word 'deserve' if you don't know the weight of such word...it's cringe...

it's just frustrating cuz i wanna engage in discussions abt this show too n spazz too....but all the comments that put me off i kept seeing just stop me every time....i already know i'm going to end up the annoyed one when these people enlighten me with their 'oppar logics'...i won't fit in any discussion on this cuz the majority's comments are so united in justifying the what i'd call the unjustifiables... that if i ever come n give my perspective on it...i'd get groupburned alive just for presenting a different side of perspective...with arguments that won't make sense but would anyway bcuz the tribe has spoken y'see? people only ever preach about being different...but truth is...when you're different than them...you're wrong.

and besides, everyone i've seen parading their favs would have those same few top ranking kids that i won't say really rank the top in terms of abilities...but...these fans won't admit they just like cuz oppar's cute, but they'd somehow justify the rank with big concepts/words like how they deserve it n then insert weak reasoning like 'they work hard'....or ...'they improve'....or 'they're popular so it means they're good'... etc.etc.

it's not wrong to admit you like something for shallow reasons...we all do that....what's annoying is pretending like all is justified n quality based n deserving....ugh that word never cease to make me cringe...

actually...season 1 was just as annoying...with popular kids' fans justify everything...even the difference between airtime for popular vs unpopular ones were somehow justified with their shiet logics.

but watching a clip of position choosing...when kim yongjin was the last who manage to choose position for vocals(thank goodness for that..and a funny twist of fate between yongjin n woodam since both were the mansae team main vocals n as we know...yongjin team defeated severely n woodam won highest votes overall yet yongjin made it higher in the ranking for that ep...well, woodam did rised higher but only after this position choosing part...which saved yongjin instead to choose song first...) n then park woodam cried cuz he had to do dance...well, he cried again...it only made me think ayoung from season 1 was cooler...that small girl with big stable high notes...who's confident at anything but rap but then had to do rap cuz she was last in ranking and everyone else have chosen...she got into same group with kim hyeongeun n park minji from kconic, the originally rappers...n she's totally clueless but worked hard n didn't cry at all for her fate n was brave n positive in learning from everyone how to make her raps...even in the first place...she's prepared for the worst...knowing she ranked last...nothing against woodam really but i'll be more annoyed at him if he get more votes for crying again n again...why do i feel he'd cry again after perf....i mean dude...tone it down a lil...his rank already increased a lot for ep6...if mnet allows him to be in final lineup he'd keep rising up...if not he'll just go up as much as kang sira....made impact with her vocals n manage to stay to top22 but that's it...we'll see who be the kang sira of this season...woodam or hwiseung...or both...this season have lots of strong vocalists main vocalist materials compared to previous season or maybe just as much but last season had some really horrible ones like kim sohye n ariyoshi risa(i still feel risa was so much better than sohye, she worked hard n cried or act weak less)...and yet you see people saying the lacking/subpar ones 'deserve' to be in top 11...isn't that funny?

it'd be better to say they deserve it bcuz the group need their visual/popularity or whatever....but really enough with cringe reasoning already....

so far in terms of perfs for position evaluation this season...still didn't impress me as much as season 1...that i felt was more impactful overall...

but seeing how the lowest rankers(if not mistaken, kim sangbin, yoon jaechan, lee giwon, lee insoo forced to go into a team bcuz other teams already complete...made me want to root for them to be the second growl team...sure that team still failed to be saved....but everyone acknowledged their awesomeness but the genius nation producers of course...i remembered when park soyeon was skeptic on the abilities of her own teammates since other than herself all in the team were low rankers...but then she realized how good they're once they started practice n it made her want to get her team to rise...in previous season...all my fav teams were actually the underdog teams...for vocal/dance/rap....

let's have some flashback....from season 1...

^ dance underdog team. i love how the teachers even call them 'the real avengers team'...even though there's the avengers team with all the popular top rankers...but these kids were so good that everyone's impressed. but of course...

^ rap underdog team...probly most impactful...i don't think season 2's perfs so far came to the same extent of impact as this one....the rap team with kim jonghyun/lai guanlin/kim taemin/jang moonbok tried to get the same impact but it wasn't as raw as this one...dissed produce 101 n telling their disappointments n ....n representing the eliminated ones...haa...badass n boss....no need to act all tryhard cocky swag like the other rap teams...i'm glad at least the rap team had rep for underdog getting the 100k benefit vote thru kim hyeongeun, the one who directly dissed produce 101...i'm so glad she got to show it to the teacher who kept complaining. tho sadly for other position it's the same ol topdog girls...

and of course...

^ the vocal underdog team n my overall fav team...most beautiful teamwork ever...this is the perf that made kang sira rise...though it made me sad for kim yeonkyung...she's the original main vocalist for this one but gave her position up bcuz she didn't do it well enough in vocal class n kang sira did better...kim yeonkyung is actually one of my fav voices, park sehee too...hwang insun is main vocal material too...n seong hyemin is likable too, actually 4/5 in the group are all main vocalist material...i love how they all gave up their ego n greed to support each other n did the best for the team....but if you go thru the comments it's just as annoying with kang sira's fans especially keep justifying why only she should be praised n focused whenever other people bring up other members....so damn annoying. they're sacrificed n she got all the focus n highlighted parts...n her fans still feel the need to be annoying...yeonkyung was really sacrificed...she already had no popularity n she's the only one from her company team of five who made it to top 61...anyway, i'll try to ignore kang sira's annoying fans n remember them for the good things...their beautiful perf n teamwork, they're all easygoing n nice to focus on their teamwork instead of personal greed like with some/most other teams, no problematic member here....the song lyrics itself was really fitting for them, like the story of a beautiful/kind underdog who believes in their self n positive even when the world knock them down n the one who'd be appreciated in the end ...how the song fits them so perfectly gave me chills...n their backstory is the most beautiful n resonate with me,...like how hwang insun chose the song first bcuz she saw nobody chose the song so she wanted to try it even when she didn't even know the song. it's like...underdog choosing underdog song...n most of them chose the song either bcuz hwang insun called them to come to her team or bcuz they don't have any other choice...lmao. i love how Insun was a leader who knew to cheer her team n encourage them n appreciate them too. it could make me cry watching their improvements n practices in the backstory montage part...everything bout this team is just beautiful. except the line distribution that i wasn't really happy with since the main vocalist gets to show so much while the rest, too little.

even though i loved kim juna's team perf too...

but yeunjung's greed annoyed me(she has the vocals but her singing didn't make me feel...i think she's overrated n i only started to remotely like her/feel bad for her eversince she's in ioi but in produce 101...eh...no)...and kim juna deserved better than having to deal with such headache...but as the leader and the better person n for team sake she gave in to satisfy yeunjung's greed...the vocalists here were pretty much the weak ones other than the two and yoon seohyung whom i'd consider decent...but i love the team members who gave their vote to juna for the song's main vocalist-ariyoshi risa, yoon seohyung n cho shiyoon...and i remember i first got curious/interested in hwang sooyeon cuz her reaction during juna's part here caught my attention xD (since Kim Juna was the reason i checked out produce 101...n she's my first fav...much like Jang Moonbok for this season)

speaking of hwang sooyeon...

too bad she took rap again tho she's originally a vocalist but never really had to sing on the show since she rapped for the first mission n everyone thought she's the rapper ...n shim chaeeun was vocalist too n did well...but this perf really was all flashy n no such emotion/depth unlike the underdog team...n also...a pride/ego battle between jeon soyeon n kang yebin(which made it a good thing hyeongeun won the 100k vote instead haa, take that divas)...but i think hwang sooyeon showed great subtle leadership to mediate the two to get over their fight n talk it out for the sake of the team...hwang sooyeon was great as a leader even during hot issue n led her team's winning...with her charisma...i'd say that's her greatest strength...she might not have standout vocals/rap...albeit decent...but her superb charisma on stage just shines....i'm still bitter she didn't even made it past top 61....mnet did dirty to happyface trainees by completely cutting off their perf in first ep when they had like 8 ppl...n unsurprisingly...only 2 made it to top61 but with very low ranks.

anyway....back to season 2...i was watching ep5...but at kim yongjin's speech towards his mansae 5F 1D team....i was bawling like crazy seriously....

starting at 0:24...when Yongjin mentioned his team n n they looked on n smiled so proudly at him(even tho if you watch the episode, you can see other trainees had almost no reaction when his name called out...yeah who cares the nugu underdogs...ugh), i love that the members of this team got their farewell closeup shots in full of deserving pride(my cutie in glasses looking so cute.../dies/...he needs to debut with the glasses xD)...n Yongjin went on saying he's happy to be able to perform with his team n that he's thankful to his hyungs...they all probly knew already there's no hope for them considering they're not in the 51-59 range...but they still looked so contented n proud in comparison to those confirmed a spot in top 60 but still angst over their position...my kids looked like they had no regrets n worries n they so deserve to, considering they did their best n really, their stage impressed me with their energy n excitement n i'll remember their stage...i love how when Boa said she liked their team n personally think they did very well...n Jo Gyumin stood up to say his thanks, still in his full on leader mode. he looked so happy when Boa complimented his team's performance even if they're to be eliminated...afterall, that's what he wanted...to make a good perf...i cried so hard when they showed the faces of the team members...i think i wouldn't have cried that much if they looked sad or worried...but their calm prideful smiles even when they must be heartbroken inside made me so proud that i couldn't control my feels...seriously...my kids...they look the handsomest of the lot, Shows like this produce 101...is cruel n annoying n unfair n y in many ways...but in small ways...it taught me a lot on little things i might have often overlook...it made me think...and appreciate things we might not be able to appreciate from our typical superficial views n grand fancy expectations ...the kids i root for...none of them would excell in the usual stupid statistics...but they made me so...so...damn proud. they're so precious...n when you can make me cry...you know you're worth remembering for a long time...for all the good reasons no winnings can give me...

and i didn't pay attention to this particular team from the first mission bcuz i'm just a fan of their rival team so i didn't remember this dude...but i like hong eunki's speech...asking ppl to support the ones that didn't get to top 60 too since there's a lot that hadn't had the chance to shine onscreen...the fact that he remembered them in his speech n stated the blatant fact of why so many gems being eliminated...left me with good impression.

actually now that i'm watching this...if ppl want to compare kim sohye with anyone...it'd be kwon hyunbin(or maybe kim dongbin too?). ppl might say kim sohye worked hard...but she needed a lot of guidance from others to be able to do that...imo, she didn't put that much effort as people kept saying...since she's too dependant on whoever teaching her instead of showing more effort on her own side...

and during the random parts...i noticed....this show is really really...Nuest Redebut show...sooo much focus on them...n i guess to make up for it...they kinda picked a few more companies with popular members to give a bit of focus after the whole nuest redebut promotional segment...i feel bad for the kids who never got their moment to shine...nuest didn't even need to be in top11...they could gain all the good rep and continue as nuest with bigger recognition...but now...it looks like they'd take at least 2-3 spots...well, not like it matters since they're competing with other popular kids...but when it comes to the top60....it definitely impacted some lives of the more desperate kids....

and the segment with kim sohye, choi yoojung n kim sohee commenting the ep...was kinda cringe really....they kept praising nation producers' judgments....ehhh....we need some badass commentaries like what kconic girls might be able to give looking at their sassy personalities n hyeongeun's rap in the position evaluation...haa. or even hwang insun...actually i think she came out the biggest success...cuz she already had strong personality n appeal that feels natural n not perfectly crafted/manufactured idol...with her ahjumma image....seriously...hwang insun n yoon jisung would be such perfect match....xD...someone need to make that happen. n idk why the girls need to bring up toppdogg when kim sanggyun's name announced as if justifying him getting that rank bcuz of his idol status...but nobody brought up nuest when the members mentioned even when out of all the idolgroups in the show...nuest really was the most heavily publicized n some kids probly left without anyone even knowing they're idols...n i bet there are ppl seeing n thinking 'ew salty biatch'...whatever...you can think however you want, and so can i. to me, from what i see in the show so far...they're not even outstanding enough to be defended so much for the top rank...though like i said...it's not like the rest in top 11 were outstanding in any way too...some are just eh....wanna know who's definitely deserving....? someone like lee geonmin...oh you know...the eliminated guy ranked 90++....cuz that's his deserving rank. huh.

Anyway, like i said...this show taught me a lot n always made me think n rethink...it's fine if you're unpopular or being seen as loser...as long as you did your best...there'll always be someone who appreciates...no matter how small/insignificant so hold your heads up high after doing your best n giving your all...and it's fine if you like/see the greatness of something nobody else appreciate...you don't need statistic to justify your personal judgment n preference...when people are so eager to be the same n follow the same direction...it's okay to feel/think/be different...you don't need the world to acknowledge everything you choose...sometimes...acknowledgment can be the most desired yet the most meaningless thing...and the world can tell you you're the worst by statistics...but if you're satisfied n proud of what you did...the world's verdict doesn't have to matter at all...what do they know anyway? just a bunch of fangirls...

and because i'm so proud of my kids...let's end with this again...

i still hope Moonbok's rank would rise...though it worries me if he end up in top 11....with 10 kids i'm not even impressed with...that'd be a pain for me too....last season i got lucky none of my top favs even made it to top22...so no conflicted feeling...maybe it'd be best if that happens for this season too...i think i don't even need to hope for it...pretty sure that's how it's gonna be...unless miracle happen. one thing i anticipate to see is...whether some of my favs would get together n change companies to be in a group after the show...there were such changes happened in some of season 1 girls...though none involved my favs...

and i just realized that the gd impersonator i read abt before this was actually jo gyumin...idk what to feel bout that...but he made his clarification...idk to what extent i'll believe...but for me...those are things i hear/read...but from what i see in the show...he seems like a respectable n good person...i hope he'd stop impersonating gd even as a job n start working on getting credit as himself cuz he's worth it. besides...when i saw him...he did look familiar...but didn't remind me of gd at all....i'd choose him anyday over gd. and seeing how he radiates with likability....i hope he'd do himself proud n debut awesomely as himself. even better if he joined forces with his mansae team members ><....

and i'm pleasantly surprised they're already in same vid even before being a team...

for now...i'm going to keep supporting for Kim Yongjin(even tho i can't voteT^T)...not just cuz of his sobstory of his parents spreading flyers...he's the only representative left from my fav team, he sings well, raps well, seems pleasant n like a nice kid, n he seem honest abt plastic surgery n all...

Actually i realize there's a lot of awkward vibes from members in my fav team especially Kim Yongjin n Jo Seongwook...individually they oozes with so much awkward vibe which made them very endearing to me...lol. actually...is it just me or jo seongwook gives me similar vibe to ZE:A's Siwan? although sungwook got plus point from me cuz he has his glasses....but both of them have this awkward vibe that i like...lmao. and Joo Jinwoo give me ZE:A's Kevin vibe...

Oh well...i rant a lot same thing over n over but for now...i still have a bunch of peeps i'm looking forward to watch that for now are still in the show as i've spazzed about in my previous posts......maybe i'll lose interest when it gets to top22...maybe...unless suddenly there's someone or more that i like miraculously survived that far. which i doubt....

i'm so sorry if any of my recent fanfic readers see this...bcuz it looks like i'm gonna neglect my recent fics again...at least until i got over this....even for last season of produce 101...i ended up starting five fics in the midst of my craze (Ode to Background / Hwang Soo Yeon (황수연) / 디퍼런트 (Different) / Say Hello to You / How to Keep the Flowers Blooming) but only end up completing 2...and putting most on drafts cuz i don't want to attract more readers when i'm not sure if i could finish them.
