Background — ki-beom comes from a long line of being in the military. For as long as his grandfather can remember (he makes eighth generation,) the men of the suh line have always been in the military in some way or form. (Some lucky younger generation can skip the military, if they're lucky enough to have an older sibling join first.) As was the case of ki-beom, his whole family was a part of the "military family," so even though ki-beom as the youngest, he just followed the stream and joined the military.
His family is not under official duty to the castle or the royal family but as with ther military under lunarian law, are ready to step in should the need arise. However, ki-beom and his older brother, ki-young have been working at the castle more since the loss of the king.

Appearance — ki-beom's looks are those that were coveted by the younger generation of times past. His height of 6'2 (187cm) is a cause of envy along with his thick hair and eyebrows. His broad shoulders and suprisingly brawny build are advantageous for him and his chosen (for him by family) career in the military.
Professionally and in-the-field, he is almost always in dress-whites suited to his military rank. Off-the-field and on his own personal time however, he prefers to dress casually. He can usually be found in jeans and polos, button-up shirts or sweaters. He prefers to be in white as he is in-the-field but throws in some grays and silver at times.

Personality —
[friendly, positive, funny] ki-beom's natural self is a more care-free and laid-back type of person. he was well-liked in school and as a lieutenant. being friendly and funny along with (historically speaking) family background, everyone likes him.
[strong-willed, domineering] partly because of how he was raised and being in the military, ki-beom can be both strong-willed and domineering. however, he knows this and actively trying to change this of himself. he needs to remember he is not "on duty" all the time.
growing up with his father (and his expectations) he always knew he had a route to take. Though he knew all that was planned for him, his natural self always shone through. beyond the military, he wanted to work as a therapist. he had seen many peers injured that needed the one-on-one help (different from nurses and doctors) and wished to do that. unfortunately, he followed what was expected of him.
ki-beom has a love of writing and reading. even presently, he tries to find time to read books and discuss it with his uncle and sister and mother. he shares with his father and brother, but they aren't very social/vocal so they listen but do not discuss. nor do they have much to add to the conversations.
he had wanted as a child, to grow older and write stories. along with that, travel all over not only lunaria but marsa and earthen to research and discover everything he could. though he shelved (note; shelved not gave up) these dreams, he has not given up on them entirely. he feels that allowing him the time to read a new book, or write a story, he keeps that dream alive.

kyung-won is the stoic and unmoving type of dad of dads and military-men of military-men. he is a commissioned lieutenant colonel and has been with the military since graduating from lunarian stellar university -west. he does not speak much nor does he seek interaction with ki-beom (or with siblings ki-young or jae-hyun.) however no one could doubt that there was love in their relations.

jae-hee as many spouses of life-long military members, is very involved with her family. Seeing how kyung-won treated the children, she worried that her children wouldn't be able to see that he did care and love his children. she was the one who taught the children to see beyond what was shown to them, and see that their father did love and care for them. she luckily (to kyung-won never being based too far from crescenthia) was able to continue with her profession of a vocational nurse.
[older brother - suh ki-young - 33]
ki-young is more similar to their father that he keeps a lot of his thoughts to himself. as the eldest, he did as was expected and joined the military. he however, doesn't look too far into the future and is willing to be/accept any position for now. he gets along with ki-beom and will act the 'traditional' older brother and whether ki-beom wants it or not, is protective of him.

jae-hyun, as the baby of the family can be very sheltered. however, have no doubts that she is her father's daughter. had she had her way, she would have joined the military as well. but because of her mother's objections she followed her mother's steps and is in school to be a nurse. she gets along with ki-beom and though she hasn't been able to interact with her brothers too often with them in the military, she is vocal of her missing them.

min-jae and ki-beom have been friends since children. they attended the same schools, lived in the same area and went to the same schools before both accepting commisions with the outer lunaria base. min-seok is still currently based there.
one-on-one date — (answering in ki-beom's pov)
i think the princess would never have had the opportunity to have a date as "mun joo-mi" instead as "princess joo-mi." i would love to be able to give her a date where she could be in anonymity (with adequate caretakers observing from a safe distance of course,) and have her have fun and feel safe without worrying about being the princess.
i also imagine being a princess she would never get a chance to cook herself a meal or clean up after herself. or just be able to be the early-twenty something year old so i think for our date, i'd like to arrange a private outing somewhere in the lunar mountains. Where she can see the mountains to one side and the ocean and beaches in front of her. I'd love to be able to invite her to help me make a dinner (if she wanted) so we can cook together.
doing something alone as such, would allow us a private chance to get to know one another. be able to hopefully comfortable and talk about one another about anything and everything. I would love to be able to tell her about me and give her a chance to get to know what goes on in my mind as well as i get to know what goes on in hers.
i would hope that if anything, she would just feel comfortable with me (and other people like me; the men who are guard around her.) realtistically, i would love for her to think high enough for me that we could fall in love, but i would just want the princess to know that she has a new friend to talk to.
