35 Questions for writers/authors [Stolen from ExoLuver_ARMY][Tagging everyone!]

The questions seemed pretty awesome and I have nothing else to do but write (I PROMISE YOU EVERYONE I'M WORKING ON MY FIC ITS JUST TAKING A LONG TIME) soooo let's go and do this!

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?

My original username is actually dreamyme, and my childish self thought it would be SUPER CREATIVE to put 'dreaming' and my name 'Megan' together and this is how 'dreamyme' was formed. But I changed it to 'nutmeggu' because people usually call me Nutmeg in real life [apparently I'm crazy and a bit nuts as you can see] so basically that's what my name means.

2. Which is your most subscribed story to this day?

That would be Because Kissing Seems to Solve Everything :)

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Well, I don't even have an AFF photo that I use, but that would be only to keep my anonymity.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

Hmm, I wouldn't use the word best friend just because I'm not really comfortable with that label on people. But if I were to choose someone that I had been talking to recently on AFF and who's always so supportive of my work, that would be music4ever-_-kun, she's such a sweetheart and we share the same views about many things :,)

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

I ALWAYS GO BACK TO READ KAYEALLEN12'S STORIES BECAUSE SHE'S AN AMAZING WRITER AND IF YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN SLEEPING ON HER THEN YOU'VE BEEN MISSING OUT ON THE MOST INCREDIBLE WRITTEN PIECES THAT WILL MAKE YOU BAWL YOUR EYES OUT LIKE BABIES KAY <3 I LOVE HER

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

286 fanfics

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

I think I tend to write a lot of fantasy AU's, well that's what I've been working on mostly. But I guess I'm pretty flexible if you look at my stories. They range from werewolves to real life fiction so it really depends on my mood :P

8. How many friends do you have?

I have around 500 friends on AFF and that scares me quite a bit because I didn't even know I had that many to begin with lol oops xD

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I've always wanted to write about gay relationships. My friend is a homoual, and I've always found it interesting how his brain worked because there were so many things that-- we heterouals focus on-- while he is self conscious on many other things, things that we usually don't care about, things that hurt him more than it would hurt most people. So yeah, I'd love to write about the LGBT community!

11. How many subscribers do you have?

Oh gosh well this is very awkward >< Uhm, well I have 12000 in all but I have 8000 unique subs :x

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

I have 28 in all but like three unfinished stories. My brain's really bad at keeping track most of my stories and gets bored easily when the plot comes to a standstill >< So yeah, the currently ongoing ones are Entity, As Twisted As Crossroads and It's In the Little Things.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

I have 12 completed in my program that's published onto here, and probably six unfinished. Some of them are drafts that I've been working on but still haven't published yet hehe~

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I WRITE DEM ALL DOWN BECAUSE I HAVE THE MEMORY AND ATTENTION SPAN OF A GOLDFISH.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

I did co-author the story "Love Pressure" with my cousin although it's been years now since it's been done already! :D She had always been so supportive of my writing and that was really what got me started on AFF in the first place.

16. How did you discover AFF?

ehh....I don't remember.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Not really, although Because Kissing Seems To Solve Everything became featured. I was so elated that I momentarily lost all of my senses. But really, it was such an honor to see my story on the front page of AFF! I wouldn't say I didn't feel popular, and I'd be lying to say that at first, the views and the number of subscribers on my stories didn't influence or affect my writing. But I've learnt to appreciate writing as an act in the process without basing myself on the statistics that come along with the story. really, what's more important is that you're enjoying yourself while writing this, that you're really into the story you're creating, no matter what it is.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

hahaha nope although I had a phase where I used to address my subbies as 'dreamers', but no i just consider everyone my friend :D

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

YEAH LIKE I MENTIONED BEFORE, KAYEALLEN12 IS MY ULTIMATE GIRL CRUSH ON AFF. There are also manny other writers like Goddess and dbskgirl4ever that really got me into AFF :)

20. How many karma points do you have?

Approximately 19,000, but that's also because I've been acting for such a long time, too.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

It's okay to copy the styles of other writers as a starting point, but always keep pushing and writing to discover what you really want to write about, what you're passionate about. Also, don't give up, even if you think that you're stuck in a dark hole that you can't crawl out of, even if it pains you to write that one sentence in a whole hour. What I've learnt from writing is that it never comes at the right time, and that inspiration may strike at any moment so always be aware of flexible. Never stop wriitng no matter what.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

It really depends. For long stories that I know will have a lot of character developments and many other elements that will come into play, I plan them out and make a summary of all the chapters as I go along. But for oneshots and random inspirations, I just let my fingers take over.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Most people are very nice on AFF, but I did have some bad comments once or twice. When I do, I try to reply to them as diplomatically and professionally as possible. Sometimes, they do make good points and with those reviews, I try to work out the issues. Constructive criticism is always welcome and a good thing to take into consideration!

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

YES ACTION SCENES. They're so much fun to write, but somehow I always try to avoid them and write a different sccene instead. It always pains me to think of all the flurry of actions that can go by in the blink of an eye, and I have to think of how to execute it all flawlessly so that it does look like action's taking place. A close second would be Kissing scenes. My gosh, sometimes I'm so lost that I have to go back and read other kissing scenes from my previous stories to give me inspiration (oops) and that is why, ladies and gentlemen, my kissing scenes seem awfully familiar and similar to each other.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Entity (action, romance, Jungkook as lead), As Twisted as Crossroads (werewolf au with Luhan as lead), and It's In The Little Things (drabble series with bts, requests are welcome!)

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

NOPE NEVER BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS COME JUMP RIGHT AT ME WHEN I LEAST EXPECT IT. I wish I had a more organized frame of doing things, but I'm always distracted by other plot ideas that I can't get off my back until i've written them down, although I'm really working on that horrible habit of mine...

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No, I find that it just stresses me out all the more.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Yes, definitely. I cringe now that I read my previous stories. They were lacking in every aspect of the word; with the plot, the characters, the grammar and basically just everything. god knows how i had subbies with those type of stories, even. :x

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Right now, my favourite story still stays Drawing The Line, but Entity comes to a close second.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

DEFINITELY ENTITY. That story has be going all around, tumbling upside down downside up and mashing my brain together in a whole universe of confusion. There are so many things going on and so many characters that I have to keep track of that it's just a whole blundering mess in my head right now. But I've started re-reading it and thankfully, it's going to help me move the plot forward and decide how the story's going to end :)

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I hope (although it's a very far-fetched dream of mine) to have one of my stories published as a Novel. Other than that, I just really want to pursue a career in writing, whether it be translator or working as a magazine editor.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

Well, I never expected that but I have 1035 votes in total. Gawd, I love my subbies very much.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

You can create a whole entire universe of your own literally out of just a piece of paper and a pen.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Killing off characters for the sake of the story ;,(

35. Why do you write?

I write because that's how I express myself, but also to escape the reality in which I live in. I've always been a kid that made up stories and played them out, always wrapped in my bubbles of fantasies, and it was when I grew up that I figured out how to translate all that into words, and make something beautifully crafted out of mere words. I write because it's a piece of me that goes in there, part of my soul and experience and feelings that I'm sure many people don't know how to express.

Wow, that was a hell lot of questions. Anyway, feel free to use it too! (I shall warn you, it's a long process) Have a goodnight everyone, and I love you all!~ <3
