35 questions for authors (from OnceUponAnExo)

I had to try thisXD Whoever reads this, give it a shot. It was fun:)

35 questions for authors

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?

SilverTree has actually been my username in countless of other websites, so it was only natural for me to pick it for AFF as well - though, I have no idea where it originally came from.

2. Which is your most subscribed story?

That’s Under the Moonlight and Thousand Stars (You hear me whisper…) And don’t even ask where that name came from.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

I haven’t picked a one… because I have no idea how (lol, just kidding). I just haven’t chosen a one.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don’t have a one…

5. Is there a fanfic you keep going back to read again and again?

-WAR (the watch this space trilogy) - Xiuhan
-Love dealer (and all its sequels) - Sekai
-Breakfast - Xiuchen
-A player’s chase - Xiuchen
-On screen only - Xiuhan

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

49

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

I have no idea… maybe Highschool!AU (honestly, I have so many story ideas and they’re all quite different so…)

8. How many friends do you have?

18... And is that a bad thing?

9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I think that many authors have the same problem… but it’s . is so freaking hard to write the way people actually like it. (I have only published a one story with a scene so you might think that I know nothing about it, but you guys just wait…*muahahahaa*)

10. Is there anything you’d like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc…?

Graphic design and overall how to freaking use a website:)))))))))))

11. How many subscribers do you have?

Last I checked 1686.

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Well, in AFF I have posted four stories, two completed and two still ongoing. Outside of AFF, I have published four stories and one of them I deleted. Three are still hidden somewhere in the webs of the internet (don’t go looking for them, seriously).

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

A little over hundred, I guess…?

14. Do you write down story ideas or do you just keep them in your head?

Both, actually. It depends on the quality of the idea.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

No, but I would like to^^!!

16. How did you discover AFF?

I have been into Kpop for some time now, but I only started to look into the fanfics like a year ago or so… and I just searched Kpop fanfics and AFF came up right away. I didn’t create an account until October though - but glad I did!

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Haha, no.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No - but now that I think of it, I’ll just call you all silver-leavesXDDDDD

19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

Inspired yes; pcyosh, barbexiu, bonamamachine, Liyussi and jiwonzi, I guess. They all write such wonderful and good stories and I wish to be at their level some day^^

20. How many karma points do you have?

Shh, that’s a secret…

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Don’t doubt yourself too much and continue writing even if there’s no feedback. I’m a beginner too, so there’s not much I can say. Just, don’t give up (ugh, so cliché).

22. Do you plot your stories or do you just figure out as you go?

Both, actually. I plot out the beginning and the end and some important parts, but as I write, I also go with the flow. It makes things interesting.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

No, I actually haven’t. All my readers are so nice to me>.< (thank youuu so much for that<333333)

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing?(action, , etc…)

Action, I think. I’m really bad at describing things even in my own language and for action, that is really important. And can be quite hard too.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Too many, but for example; Under the Moonlight and Thousand Stars (You hear me whisper…) and The Heart of Winter. I have many unfinished stories but that’s all I’m telling;)

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Hell yes, and that’s a huge problem of mine. New story ideas keep on popping into my head like every freaking day but I have to restrain myself a little, can’t have too many stories going on at the same time…
But lets just say that once at least one of my AFF ongoing stories comes to an end, I have a new one coming up right away.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No, because I don’t want to schedule my writing. It’s a way to relax and enjoy my free-time - and one day you might not feel like writing, other days you’re just glued to your computer. I honestly just go with the flow.

28. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?

I do think so - I’ve written stories since I was a little kid and it is a huge hobby of mine. I do think that I have improved a lot, but I have a long way to go. You can always improve some more, right?

29. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?

Probably Under the Moonlight and Thousand Stars (You hear me whisper…).

30. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?

Behind the frozen eyes… seriously, that story was bull (it’s the one I deleted a long time ago, I hope none of you guys actually know about it).

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Most likely I won’t be here anymore, but who knows? But I do know that writing is something I won’t stop doing.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

112

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Torturing the characters…? Just making things angsty overall is easy.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

No feedback and coming up with the names (seriously, coming up with the names of stories and OC’s is soooooo harrrrrrrrrd). And of course, coming up with a decent plot is quite hard.

35. Why do you write?

And why do you breathe? Lol, just kidding - but honestly, writing is a big part of my life. I don’t want to sound too deep or cliché, but it’s a way of expressing ones mind and release stress and frustration. The feedback and happy readers make it all the more worth it. I love writing and probably always will, and that's it for me.
