Story Covers ;;

Okay, I've seen people actually be able to put story covers for their stories to where people can see them and I know where I can input the URL to upload it but it doesn't show up or something and I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong. I've even seen some people be able to change the background of their story or layout thingy. Does anyone know how you do that? Like I seriously do not understand...

apart from linking pictures from imgur, photobucket, tumblr like @ann1914 said, remember the link should be secure
like start with
<https.//>
I hope you will be able to put a cover/ background now. if you get it from a poster shop, they use secured link so just paste it and check the format.

What's the hosting site for your image? I may have left out other sites but for the most part, AFF only accepts links from tumblr, imgur, photobucket, and deviantart. Try uploading your image to either of these sites and use their direct link. Hope this helps. ^^
