When you read how do you imagine the characters?

Like do you imagine an outfit for them if none is really described, or do you imagine them more as floating heads with limbs xD?

Also, if a story is written in the first/second or third perspective, do you imagine yourself as a bystander or see things through the character's eyes like you're actually them? Or does it depend?

For me...I'd say it varies haha.

I imagine the character full on. If it's an idol, I imagine all of them; head, body, limbs, everything. If it's an OC, I just imagine a random, most likely generic being. And I do imagine the clothes when and when not described; with idols, if not told what they are wearing, I just imagine them in clothes I've seen them wear or ones I feel would fit them depending on what I've seen them wear, and for OCs it's just random clothes or like clothes that I feel fit the atmosphere/situation. Though I guess that can apply for everything. And when imagining what I'm reading, I kind of do it in the way of like watching a movie, like I'm watching the scenes play on a screen in my head.

Your first question is... idk how to explain XD

I think it's depends. If the main character is OC/you, I would likely imagine myself. But if it's an Idol or people who I know, then I'm automatically being a bystanders haha.
