It's no use, you all. I can't seem to write short fics anymore. A Taste of You was supposed to be a oneshot, but then feral Vampire!Jaejoong said

So I kept writing, hoping for a triple-shot. But no. Jaejoong still wasn't happy with me.

Sobbing, I kept writing. Maybe I could bring the story in at around 10 chapters?

APPARENTLY NOT. So I talked to my beta readers aboout making AToY a longer fic. This story is a thank-you gift for them, after all. These are the two options I gave them:

A: A short, hot story about the mind games between Jae and Yunho as they live together. It'll be done in 3-4 more chapters and won't have much plot or character development, but will have a very high -to-storyline ration.
or
B: A longer story about Yunho and Jae coming to terms with their demons, histories, and their place in vampire society, complete with a bad guy and some betrayals. Slightly fewer ytimes, and they'll be spread out over the story. 

They unanimously chose B. 

So I turned to Vampire!Jae and asked, "Will that work? Is it enough? Happy now?" And his reaction was

But then Yunho jumped in and said

So that's how it's going to be. 

If you look at A Taste of You, you'll see that I've reworked it a bit. The format and structure I had planned for the short fic won't work for a longer fic. I'm going to let AToY simmer on the backburner while I finish JHTfKYM. But I'll work on it here and there afterward, as I write Fireflies.

I know that many of you were hoping the fic ran longer, so I hope this makes you happy too. ^^
