using 'former' rude

Okay like is it just me or do you think that when websites uses 'former member' is rude?

Okay so here's an example

"Former EXO member kris wu plays at MBA all star game for second time"

"Highlight formerly known as BEAST/B2ST drops teaser for upcoming album"

Like in my opinion it's rude because like if they left their group/changed their group name don't keep bringing it up like it's the past

And it's not like people don't already know that kris left so it's not like their doing it to keep people updated

Highlight i guess there some people out there that maybe haven't heard but for the most part they have

And i find it rude because like what group they were with/what group name they had is in the past and they most likely want to forget but you're tying a Rope around their neck and not letting them forget

And you're not letting the fans forget either and it may cause wounds to re-open

Like i just find it really rude and makes me mad is just me?

I agree with you on most parts. but there are still some groups who still respects their past. they might have some issues with the agency but now with the members they left behind. A few keep in touch and they still talk about their past from time-to-time and sometimes, they have to do it because still majority of their fans who love and support them now are from their past group. And a few even mention they are a former member of so-and-so in their sns profile. And also not every kpop fan out there knows about every member who have left their groups. so I get their side too I guess? Anyway, enough of my blabbering. lol. it's just how I feel.
