I'm speechless. YG made the dumbest decision by throwing both Minzy and Bom and breaking off 2NE1

But the worst part is that Kpop lost a very very unique group.

It's already depressing that most old gen girl groups have either disbanded (4MINUTE,KARA) or have lost a member (SNSD, f(x) )

No matter what this new generation may bring, the old one remains better in terms of variety. all these senoir girgroups were different from each other, be it their concepts or their music style, they were distinguishable and that's what I loved most about the old gen girl groups.

and now, 2NE1.

They had the best GROUP NAME EVER as well as the BEST FANDOM NAME: BLACKJACK!

They debuted with a different style and concept that went against the stereotypical asian girl image, promoting women empowerment in the process

They had the BEST STAGE PRESENCE EVER! this is legit what I'll miss most about them! their lives were so fun to watch! they conquered the stage and the only gg now that can come close to 2NE1's charisma on stage is MAMAMOO (MMO is probably one of the best new gen girl group, they brought a different style and I love it)

They had one of the greatest dancers (MINZY) and visuals (DARA)

and most importantly, they gave us many hit songs that will forever remain with us

Thank you 2NE1 for 7 amazing years, I hope we could meet again in the future as BLACKJACKS and 2NE1, and not just as strangers..

but that's far from being real. I'll just have to learn to let go.
