— She is a charismatic person and that's why she is chosen to be in Xpression. Her dance move will leave the people agape. She is a really humble person although she is a bit quiet at first and awkward with people. Besides, she is really passionate about doing things she likes and of course dancing. She starts to dance since she was five and dancing is like passion to her. From her appearance,  she may look like she is cold and doesn't give a damn about anything but she is really sensitive. Even small thing can hurt her. Her heart is easily broken. Maybe it because of she had a depression once but she has improved herself to be positive and better person and it makes her becomes a tough person. With the girls or anyone she is really close to, she will get super hyper and playful with them! She really likes to have fun with the members. 

    She is aloof with the new people since she does not know how to start a conversation and only nods or shakes head if she is asked about something. She can't approach someone really easily unlike her before the depression haunted her, now, she afraid of people. She is scared what will people judge about her although when she is talking. She is really impatient in doing something. She hates something slow and wants any task or thing to be quickly done. Same goes when she teaches the members to dance, she wants them to be good in dancing really quick or she will get super irritated with that (because of that the members always focus when she is teaching). Even she loves dancing if she gets tired or lazy. She will leave the dance practice room and just lay back and sleep. She is a lazy person, she won't cook for anyone if nobody wants to clean the dishes and she only clean her own thing or room because she is really lazy and if the member nag, she will excuse that she is tired or her back hurts or something. Iljung is anti-social. She hates to interact with people especially new ones. She sometimes annoyed with new people because she is awkward in interacting but she will try her best not to show that she is annoyed and it makes her change her mind from "annoyed" to "comfortable" with them. Lastly, she is an easily discouraged person. If she read an article or negative comments about her, she will get upset and think she will never improve or as good as to her but at the same time, she knows, she needs to be strong and gain her confidence. That is why she does not want to read anything related to her.

background

— She once suffered depression of anxiety. People opinion is her nightmare. She was not confident with her body for being fat(although she was not), just because she has a little fat, people told her to diet and be healthy. Her weight was only 54kg and her friends and family said it was not suitable for her height. People keep hating on her because of her cold expression. They said she was ugly and fat(asian beauty standard of body size)  plus many things happened; teenagers problems. She got a tension headache and the doctor said it a part of a migraine too. Her aunt asked about it and didn't believe her and called her a liar. So many people tried to make her down just because of her coldness. It messed her life even worse. She had a stressful life back then.After that, she talked about it with her English teacher and she gained confidence and changed to a better person after that.

    She was born in Ilsan, Seoul but not long after that her family moved to Singapore because of business. Her parents are still in Singapore except for her grandparents, Both of her grandparents live in Ilsan. She told her parents about her passion for music and dancing, her parents wanted her to audition at Big HitEntertainment, where her uncle worked while her brother, Shin Jiho aka Xero will debut in a new boy group named ToppDog and that encouraged her to be just like her brother. Her brother gave a lot of advice when she told him that she will audition at an agency. A year of being a trainee, her uncle left the company. She decided to stay because Bang Si Hyuk, The CEO of Big Hit Ent put a lot of confidence in her to be a successful idol in a few years. She was in a dance academy along with BTS Jhope and B.A.P Zelo but they never talked with each other. She became friends with Chaeyoung aka Rose from Black Pink because both of them were pen pals. She once dated iKon's Donghyuk but they broke up to continue both of their career of an idol. She met Taehyung when she was a trainee and she admits that she is really closed with him because Taehyung is a like her brother. Taehyung was so nice to her and always went out together for lunch. Big Hit decided to put her in a new girl group called Xpressions as the main dancer, a rapper, and a sub vocalist after 5 years of being a trainee. Then she met Yoongi, who was a trainee at that time will soon debut, they met every day when she was training for rapping and Yoongi gave a lot of advice in improving her rapping skill but they were not very closed. After that, Bang Si Hyuk hoped she will be just like her sunbaenims, Suga and Rap Monster as she also can write lyrics. She has an unreleased mixtape when she was a trainee.

So he gives many pieces of advice to Iljung with the dance and rap but now both of them are really busy and get a chance for a few times to meet. Usually they will meet again in Singapore where their parents live or Ilsan, at their grandparents house.
