Pretty Boy (I'm Nobody) trigger warning apology

Hey everyone, so sorry that Pretty Boy seemed to go down for a while. I think someone must have reported it as needing a trigger warning because it got unlisted and set to trigger warning. I've fixed it so it can be read, but I haven't taken off the trigger warning in case I broke some rule by accident. I'm not so into restricting by trigger warnings myself because regular books don't come with trigger warnings, but I have to abide by the rules of this site. Hopefully this doesn't cause any problems any more!!! ^^;;

EDIT: Just read the FAQ and figured out that it must have been a regular user who marked it as trigger warning (I had no idea this was possible!!). I personally don't think it warrants a trigger warning because I don't think the material is "explicit or highly objectionable". \\What do you guys think??

From the FAQ:

TRIGGER WARNING

User Posts containing adult-themed content of an explicit or highly objectionable nature must be marked with a Trigger Warning when submitted.  Any post may also be marked with a Trigger Warning by a member of the ASIANFANFICS community if the material is considered highly objectionable.

You agree that ASIANFANFICS or any member of the community may designate your User Post with a Trigger Warning. This process ensures the fair and safe use of ASIANFANFICS for all users.

Once a User Post is designated with a Trigger Warning, a user must subscribe to that User Post specifically to gain access.  All users must be 18 years of age to access content with a Trigger Warning.

You and only you are responsible for your posts. You understand that ASIANFANFICS has the right, and may be required, to disclose your personal information to law enforcement authorities investigating illegal content.

The funny thing is, I bet people still click the trigger warning, even if they aren't 18. So, that whole thing is kinda redundant.

People get triggered by different things for different reasons. You're story may have hit a little bit too close to home for someone obviously. And that may have been a story without a happy ending. Personally I don't think a trigger warning is necessary, you've put some proper warnings. There's tons of stories with violence, , murder, gore and that list can go on. I'm totally with zan8901's opinion below. You're story needs more readers. And among those readers there might be readers that can find strength in your story and a way to overcome their own problems, which may be an eating and/or low self esteem disorder. You've put your story out in the open to help, not destroy. Your story triggered emotions, real emotions but most important a life line to recovery too. More people should read it and people should have acces to it. It may save a life. Especially after reading in the news in my country the average age of children with an eating disorder is 8-13...

I don't necessarily think it's worth a trigger warning, but if you're able to keep it up then it's alright. It's a great story and people should be able to read it. I think people just get so triggered by anything that is realistic - depression, anxiety, eating disorders. I can see how it can be triggering, but at the same time you're not making this for the sake of making people feel bad but to spread awareness that this is an actual thing that happens to people and if they are suffering then they aren't alone. Your story made me realize a lot about myself actually, lots of things I did in the past I wasn't even aware of and just how destructive I was to my body and mind. In fact, I thought it was alright to do those things to myself! It helped me realize I'm not the only one going through these hard times and that there can be hope. =D I just don't understand how people can report the story when it says in the tags "eatingdisorder" and "anorexia" What were they expecting? Rainbows and cuddles? It's an eating disorder, it's nothing to be taken lightly. That being said, congrats on the ad! I was so happy to see it. Your story deserves more readers. =)

I just started reading this fic today because I saw it advertised and it's very well written, though I did have to take a break after the first few chapters because of the content. It's very emotional and realistic, and I've already shed a lot of tears because it really hit close to home. With that being said, thanks for applying the trigger warnings for other readers.

Try looking in your reports, Michan <3 You'll be able to see if it has been reported. ^^ You can open it again if it's a closed request to respond to it (I've done that before by accident) and read the report if there has been made one (which there most likely have). I don't think you have a reason to explain and I'm sure it won't cause any more problems for you.<3
