PERSONALITY :　JoJo is the person you are most likely to become friends with because of her kind and caring nature. She always has a drive to learn new things, meet new people, and spread positive energy. She is the girl who you will see always making jokes and enjoying life. When someone has a problem, she will let them know she is there and will be their shoulder to cry on. When she hears a negative opinion, she will not add on to it, but she's accept and respect that opinion. She is a pretty submissive person, so she'll do whatever the members tell her to do if she believes it is resonable, however, this also means her desicions can be hindered. She may have her mind set on something, but a person's words can change her mind. She's a gullible person, but cares a lot for her members

 

BACKGROUND :　JoJo was blessed enough to live in a nice and loving home with her mother, father, and 3 siblings. Her friends referred to her as the kid with a heart that can warm even the coldest. Being the oldest, she automatically inherited the "rolemodel" trait. However, the lowest point in her life was in high school, when she told her parents she wanted to go to korea to become an idol because of her love for performing and value of art. She recieved the support if her parents, but she knew they didn't want that for her. She was originally a YG trainee from the age of 14, but transferred to C&P after seeing no light for her future under that company. There, she became friends with Bobby, Lee Hi and Moon Sua.

During high school, she fell in love with Color Guard and was president of her high school's dance company. she felt blessed to be surrounded by great people and felt that by becoming and idol and chasing her dreams, she would not only be doing this for herself, but for everyone who believed in her. Her biggest goal is to give back to her parents and try to get them a bigger house. Although the dream is very far away, she hopes to get there someday.

▸  Oldest sibling of 1 Younger sister (15yrs) and 2 younger brothers (10 & 8 years old)

▸ She took tap and contemporary dancing, and started singing at the age of 5, so flexibility is x100. She is able to pull off fierce/y concept

▸She started singing during pre-school and continued in choirs (church & high school)

▸ Was part of her Colorguard's leadership and parade team in high school (sophomore and half of junior year)

▸ She loves doing makeup, and loves Pony (makeup artist). her favorite makeup brands are tarte and etude house

▸ rolemodels are Ailee, IU, LeeHi, So Hyang and Yoon Bomi

▸ Since she grew with a stay-home mom, cooking and laundry was usually done for her. So, she is the person you DEFINITELY do not ask to cook. She hates house chores, but does them anyways because messes are very annoying. Also hates driving.. kind of s reckless driver. yellow means go faster

TRAINEE LIFE :　While she was under YG ent, she was often criticized by dance teachers for not being able to pull off hip hop moves and was made fun of by only a few other trainees. By her third year, she realized that she might be stuck inside YG's basement, and often thought of quitting, so she sent out more audition videos to companies including JYP, BigHit, Cube, and  C&P. After being accepted by C&P, she resigned from YG.  C&P was no different, but she still worked hard under the newly established company in order to prove to her parents that this was a right decision. She met new friends at C&P and worked harder to lose belly fat in order to debut. Her wieght and inability to pull off hardcore hip-hop moves were factors that could have held her back from debut, but she stuck her ground.

▸ Hello! My name is Im Jaekyung. I am 19 years old and have been a trainee here at C&P for 2 years. I value art and making new friends. I love singing and contemporary dancing. Please support me and give me lots of love!

 

how does it feel to finally be debuting? : 

 

▸ I feel like the weight has finally been lifted off of my shoulders. I worked very hard to be here as well as other trainees here. I think I know why I was chosen, but at the same time I think that other trainees are equally as deserving of this spot. I promise to work hard until the end!

 

what is something you want to do with the other members? : 

 

▸ I'd like to travel to Jeju island with them. There are some members I'm not very close to yet, so I want to be close to all of them

 

Would you like to say something to your fans? : 

 

▸ To be honest, I didn't know I had fans *laugh* .. anyways I want to thank each and every one of them! I would thank them personally if I could. I will try my best in fanservice in future events that allow me!

What would be your award accepting speech? : 

 

▸ My award acceptance speech... I would probably be crying. I cried a lot during trainee days so I can't imagine what I'd say if I won an award, honestly. But I know for a fact that the reason I would have that award would be my friends and family. My fans are my friends, so I will not say them seperately. They are included in my heart ❤️
