Funny experience of me being a "writer"

Hey guys^^

I just thought that I can share my experience with you~

It's not so long since I have discovered my old stories. Well, better said my completely first stories. I haven't written them into a computer but to books or notebooks. Eventually, I have discovered them in my every notebook that I have been using five to six years ago. I'm writing in English for only one year, so no English stories but my maternal language... But that's not important at all. The point is, I was crying from laughther. Oh really, who wrote that things in those notebooks?!

For example: I have been writing one story, together with my best friend. A fantasy one. We had planned everything about the story. All the details. We have created dozens of characters and made a small biography to all of them. Of course, the main characters had more detailed biography. In other words everything was perfect! For a young kids like us we had really wild imaginations. I still think the story was very original... And then, we started to write. Each one of us had written one chapter from point of view of multiple charas. At that time, every time we were reading that, it was so awesome! But reading it now... It just made me think. Just what exactly have we been writing in it?! Unfortunatelly, we haven't finished that. Though, we are thinking about continuing with the story... And you know what the best part is? We even didn't get to the point of the main story! It had 18 chapters but we haven't written the most important part...

Well, it made us both laugh! We were laughing for a good few hours because it was unbelievable. Both of us are continuing writing our own stories. Though, she is writing anime ones in Czech and I write kpop ones in English. No one would recognize that it's our, though. Only through our hand writing...

I still use some of my characters from out story, since we had them devided. And since I keep using them, I'm making them even more detailed, right? Thinking about the story now, however. It just makes me thing, because the main characters were some kind of guards in it and had special powers, it makes me think of funny things. For example, one of them has the ability of speaking to animals, but he didn't know it because at the beginning, they all are finding out about the powers. But I have thought, what will the boy do, when he hears his dog talking to him? Since he has a dog! The boy is pretty much of sane person and doesn't think of crazy things. He is the complete opposite of his twin sister. But suddenly a dog starts to talk with him. Just how much was he freaking out, while his sister was jumping out around thinking how cool that is? These days I'm really ponding about all this...

My other stories are something else as well. It just made me a laughing stock, not believing what things I could come up with. Sometimes, it even scared me...

Well, this is my experience. Just didn't want to keep it only with me... Maybe you can share your experiences with me too? :)

That's interesting! I haven't written anything about fantasy during the old days, I just imagine it. It just stays there in my head. I tried to write on, but it's a complete failure x) Talking about my experience in writing...I remember writing a story in my maternal language as well (English is not my first language too) in a notebook. I was nine or ten or eleven at the time maybe. It's about a girl whose mother died because of an illness. I still remember writing her mother died in a car while they were on a trip and when I thought of it now, it sounds completely weird and illogical hahah xD

When I was fourteen, I started writing stories in English and kept them in the computer. Since I was very young back then and was heavily influenced by dramas, it's all about love and cringe worthy things. I reread it and I felt like smashing the laptop to the ground and let it broke into tiny pieces. I read it again and I found myself laughing at the silly plot and dialogue and the grammatical errors. Just what was I thinking at that time? It's fun going through your old works and notice the change between your old writing style and today's. I realized that mine has a big change in term of the genre of the story and how I write it.
