KIND REMINDER:- CELEBRITIES & IDOLS ARE STILL HUMANS AT THE END OF THE DAY

First Taeyang with his dog- Homie being stolen, then T.O.P with his sasaeng fans incident, and now GD with his own private Instagram account- peaceminusone hacked into and his photos intended to stay personal and private being made public and then leaked…

I have always been told since I was a kid by my parents and their friends that, fame isn’t everything, and that fame is practically just a shiny package wrapped around an ordinary human being, and they wanted me to realize that fame does not necessarily define one’s personality, what one’s like or whether is s/he a good person. I guess it was only really entrenched into my mindset when I was very lucky enough to intern at DreamWorks years ago, I had that, “He’s a real funnyman, he must be a pretty fun and nice person” moment (I’m not naming names), but he turned out to be a real a$$hole with an overwhelming ego.

But anyway, what I’m trying to say is that, a celebrity or an idol is almost always only a persona, what you see on stage and in front of the cameras doesn’t necessarily define what he’s like as a person, what he’s really like off-camera. Everyone needs to understand there are usually two sides to a celebrity, the persona that he or she carries for the public to see, then there is his or her actual self, they are still human beings at the end of the day.

Just like every other ordinary human being, they also deserve their own spaces, their own lives and their own privacy. I know some will say that, because they are celebrities, they are bound to be subjected to public scrutiny. Yes, public scrutiny is certainly an expectation to a certain extent, but there should be a certain degree of limit on that, not every single thing they do is our business, especially if it is obviously clear that he intended for the things to remain personal and private, e.g. in this situation, GD’s own private IG account, whatever he does in his own time is his own thing, if he’s in love with a new girl, then so be it, you don’t have to approve or like it, still, respect him and respect the fact that he’s his own person too.

Please respect BIGBANG, and their privacy.
