KARMA POINTS COMPETITION!~ (ENTER RIGHT NOW TO WIN!)

Hey guys,

I'm doing a persuasive paper on Thursday in class about the "Double standards of Asian Culture" and I'll be writing about the issues and standards that Asians in our contemporary society today have to live up to expectation by. Anyway, I was wondering if you guys could give some input on what you guys think the major ones you think are more of an issue and why + put them in categorical order on which you think is the most controversial/bigger issue, because I need anecdotes from outside subjects to include in my research + essay. (That's why I'm asking you guys XD)

I gave away 100 KP on my last blog post to a friend who helped me with my political research and I thought it would be fun to make this survey into a mini competition too with a KP prize. (I won't tell you the exact amount yet cos I'm going to keep it as a surprise and it depends on how good of answers I'm recieving.)

RULES: Basically rate the following options in order that are the most controversial and why you think they are + post it on the comments below. There will only be one winner which will be announced on the 31st August (tomorrow) at 12PM KST  so yeah get your entries in by then.

So here are the options:

  • Favourtism of males over females
  • Beauty standards
  • Work and education opportunities
  • Standards and expectations being upheld (can relate to the KPOP industry too)
  • Cultural expectation

Good luck!~

from least to most:
- Cultural expectations: so far I don't think this is enough of a problem.
- Standards and expectations being upheld (can relate to the KPOP industry too)
- Beauty standards: I feel very offended when I pass by streets, some people tell me that I'm ugly.
- Favoritism of males over females: in my country there are still many people who treat women worst than men. There are also many cases where husbands abuse their wives verbally and/or physically.
- Work and education opportunities: definitely most concerned problem. In my country (yes, in my country at least), if you are son/daughter of regular workers then you will get that job more easily without having to compete too much. However well you studied, you won't be judged fairly.

I know my points are very weak. I just posted this to show my general thought :)
