height
: She stands at 164cm tall. She's extremely proud of her height and hopes not to grow any taller or shrink.
weight: She weights in at 45kg and is happy about her weight despite being a little too thin for many people's liking. Despite that, she keeps very fit and has muscles.

style: Yoonji is very calm and sophisticated with her dressing style. She's a fan of layers, so during winter and fall she wears jackets over sweaters over shirts. Skirts, and dresses tend to be her go to clothes when in summer, skirts are usually paired with loose knitted shirts. She like neutral colors rather then neon or pastels. She constantly wears necklaces; but, doesn't like bracelets or any other type of accesories. During the winter season she wears scarves, and has a large collection of over fifty different types of scaves. For shoes, she sticks to heels or Mary Jane's. She despises boots, as they're too hard to get on and heart her up too quickly.
appearance: Yoonji is extremely pretty, and knows it very well. Between her auburn hair that falls over her forehead, her large yet narrowed chestnutt eyes, button nose, and pink tinted lips—there's not one flaw in her apperance. Nothing to nitpik or dislike. Everyone likes everything about her looks. She's slim, yet tall; but, not too tall. She wears make-up frequently, especially BB cream and lipstick. She can never live without them.
all about the face
beauty inside
                                                        traits:
                                 positive. visionary, creative, loyal
                                 stubborn, sensitive, private negative.

elaboration: Yoonji is the epitome of extremeness, in no matter what she does. To most, she's seen as a cool and holistic character who quietly completes all of her work in a timely matter and keeps to herself. She has high morals, and idealism; despite being soft spoken. She sees helping others as her purpose in life. Even though she can come off as private and almost scary in the way she's quiet and observering, she's gentle and caring to the heart. She's often found helping the elderly to cross the street, and hanging around the animal shelter near her house. The reason she feels as though helping people is a purpose, is because of how she was brought up. Her father was always committed to a certain cause (animals, humans, enviornment) and growing up Yoonji decided people would be her cause while her father focused on the enviornment and her brother with animals. Having a cause makes her feel whole, if she doesn't have a cause it's easy for her to get distracted and feel odd. In those moments, she's not seen well. Her anger is brought too new hieghts, where (even though she's quiet and sensitive) she'll lash out against others. She'll over do on sensory activities like drinking (and she's really not a good drinker in the first place). In these moments in time, she frequently doubts herself as she feels as if she's needs to be a perfectionist to live in the world she does. These are extremely apparent when she's under stress.

Yoonji is the type of person who over analyzes everything and anything, and because of this she easily creates her opinions with facts and truths she learns. Having her opinions backed up makes her feel as if she's always right and is very strong in her beliefs. She frequently sees things that no one else sees, including concepts or people. As she observes everything before she does anything. She looks at people, places, things. She imagines conversations between those siting and walking around. She analysis the basis of a building in front of her. She figures out the fastest route to where she needs to go and because of this easily bruns her self out. Actually, on a regular basis she burns herself out. Which is why she's easily found going home and passing out on her bed. Or leaving from work to an outdoor snack shack where she'll pass out piss drunk after drinking only a bottle and a half of soju or beer. Despite many thinking she's one of those people who can tolerate everything that happens to her; its easy for her to break and crumble under such times.

She's often very secrative and private about her thoughts and feelings, and usually doesn't let other's in. Which may be her reason for failing in love. Her past relationships were tragic cases. Men quickly fell in love with the caring yet private Yoonji; but, she could never feel the same way for them. She never let them inside her heart the way they did with her. This may be partially due to the fact that she's unsure of others; but, at the same time it may be because of her parents or her childhood as a whole. Love is a foreign object that she's unsure about. It's too complex, and she's too complex as it is. There's no need to bring more into it.

background: Yoonji was born in the midst of winter, nearly twenty-three years ago. Her father, a kind-hearted man much like him, was an enviornmental scientist who focused his sights on zoology most of the time. And her mother, a young woman who was not pratical at all, was a vetrenarian. Her father was nearly twelve years older than her mother, and had been an enviornmental scientist for ten years while her mother was still in medical school and training as a resisdent. There was defintetly something wrong with her parents relationship; of couse she knew that. Her father and mother never acted the way her friend's parents acted. They never showed PDA or care towards one another. They either focused on her, or their work. Never on each other (barely on theirselves). Sadly, Yoonji never really focused on that matter; but, instead on her school life, drama, and her friends. That is, until, she was thirteen and her father filed for a divorce. Behind closed doors, and going unnoticed by Yoonji, was her mother's affair with a man closer to her age. Caught cheating, her mother got nothing in the divorce (not that she needed it with her salary) and moved into a 3,000 square foot flat in the middle of Mokpo. A flat she lived in during the summer, Christmas Eve, every other birthday, halloween, and mother's day. A flat where her mother's boyfriend (now husband) lives and her younger-half sibling that she doesn't like.

Her father never remarried, and instead focused his whole life on zoology. Yoonji enjoyed living with her father most. She wasn't surronded by that man who her mother married, but instead the silence of an empty mansion on a hill with the views of the city. At the age of eighteen, she stopped visiting her mother and her mother's new family and instead kept her residence in Seoul with her father. Sadly, she was mostly by herself as her father worked frequently. That may be why her work ethic is so...crazy. While attending college for an International Business degree with a focus on America (hence why she's learning English) she has a full time job working as an editor for a Magazine company. The company is a long way away from her father's house which forced her to move into the on campus dorms of her college. Thankfully, she can afford a single dorm room and doesn't have a roommate (as her father put together a ton of money for her college fund, and anything that goes along with it). Out of her whole family, she only talks to her father; but, it's very rare.

relations:
MotherLee Hawon nee Kim (former Seok)forty-fiveVeternarian—Yoonji's mother is a very odd person, at least in her eyes. She's calculating and quiet; but, she easily snaps at people and then turns into a saint in the easiest of ways possible. Their interactions are rare, as Yoonji isn't a fan of her mother after what happened with her parents divorce. Her mother has a new family and Yoonji doesn't fit with it. Which creats a strain.
FatherSeok Jisubfifty-sixZoologist—Yoonji loves her father very much; but, their relationshop has been cut short over the past few years ever since her parent's divorce. Her father used to be a kind and caring man who would take Yoonji to work and carry her on his shoulders showing her all these little tubs filled with small creates like bacteria, or fungs, parsites even. But, he turned into a private  man who works too hard.
Step-fatherPeter Leeforty fiveDefense Lawyer—Yoonji completely hates Peter, as she believes he (along with her mother) are the scums of the earth. He was born and raised in America (a Korean American) but frequented Korea. Yoonji hasn't seen Peter as she tries to keep her distance from that side of the family. If she ever does see him (or hear him) she becomes very hardened and her heart hurts.
Younger half-brotherLee Taewooeight—Yoonji doesn't know her younger half-brother well, as she only met him once at his birth when she was fourteen. Much like she does with her mother and step-father, she keeps her distance from him. Taewoo doesn't know of her well, and forgets about her often. Their mother wants them to develop a relationship where Taewoo can rely on Yoonji.
Group MemberJeon Chaeeunseventeenhigh school student—Yoonji and Chaeeun's relationship is very calm, while Chaeeun is a cute little girl, Yoonji treats her like her baby sister. Yoonji's not sure why a teenager should fall in love, or make a site about how to do so; but, their friendship quickly blossomed. By now, they're like sisters.

love interest: Kang Haneul (actor)
backup: Hong Jonghyun (actor)

personality: Rihwan is a jerk in the best way possible. He's the type of guy that always seems to have fun. As in, there's never a dull moment around him. He knows random trivia, has crazy ideas and does many different challenges. Prepare for witty banter and quick wit when conversaiting. He's extremely honest but will aruge tirelessly for something he doesn't believe in fur fun. Is on a quest for knowlege twenty-four-seven. Loves mental sparring. His whole day surronds brooding, accumulating, and knowledge. Likes playing devil's advocate and will attack or defend a topic from every angle and side to gain knowledge. He's considered to be unconventianl and open-minded as he is challenging and different. He's bored of social norms and likes finding new ways to do things. Always thinking out side of the box, and doing things effortlessly.

interactions: Their interactions tend to be a mixture of kind heartedness and Rihwan pissing Yoonji off to the max. Such as when Yoonji was tasked (in her first few months of working at the magazine company) to hang Christmas lights in the big tree out front. She got stuck and Rihwan found her and immediatedly started laughing his off as she hung there trying to get out of the tree. Though he can make these situations up, such as when she reached the ladder but falls off, and he caught her. She sings nicely in the empty backroom of the office (some silly lullaby) and he listens intently while stretched out in his office chair, smiling. Because she has a really nice voice. He makes stupid puns to which she ruins. "Which state is the loudest? Illinoise!" and she'll reply with something snarky or deep-ish "silence is the loudest scream" to which he'll give her this look that says 'what the fudge is wrong with you mate?' and reply with a "that was deep". They don't judge one another and instead judge the other people in the office like they're best friends. Which they kind of are, without realizing. For instances he found her crying in the office after getting screamed at by their boss, sadly she wore liquid eyeliner that day and instead of comforting her, he just pranced around her and called her the 'raccon woman'. That's real friendship right there. He asks her stupid questions all the time "What if, instead of countries declaring war on one another, there was just a bigg rap battle?" She just gives him looks from across her cubicle. "Shut up Rihwan." One time Yoonji walked into the break room to find their boss starring at the microwave confused as hell, he looked toward her and pointed at the thing and yelled out "Who the hell put the peeps in the microwave?" In the distance she could hear Rihwan laughing, and all she could do was tightly smile as she tried holding in her own laugh. She left her cubicle for one minute and came back to find her laptop screen a picture of his face. And a sticky note on her keyboard with the sentence 'hehe' written on it. When she looked at him, all she could find was him smiling crazily. They don't usually interact outside of work (at least in the beginning) but one time he found her drunk out of her mind at an outside food stall. He couldn't help but laugh and take a picture before call her a cab and get her home. At some point, after they become close, he begins driving her to and from work. She'll constantly try and pay him for gas; but, he refuses.

love story: Yoonji was never good with talking to men. Most of the time she only approached men she found to be less intimidating the most. And only ever talked to them if she worked with them, or are related to her in some way. Her relationships never lasted long, as the men she dated got too attached to her, way too quickly, while she stayed neutral. She doesn't know how to flirt. She treats every relationship like a friendship or acquaintance. And compares many relationships to that of her parent's divorce. Stumbling upon the Romance for Dummies website, and meeting the girls was like a gift to Yoonji. As she doesn't have any friends (nonetheless girlfriends) and her mother isn't a figure she wants to look up to for romance. She was the person who asked for a whole right up on how to: meet a good guy, talk properly to said guy, flirt with said guy, and how to functionally act around said guy.  She was bashfully embarrassed about receiving love advice (especially from some who are younger than her) but was thankful to the moon and back as Chaeeun and the others gave her a nearly ten page post about her questions. Although she's not the most helpful when it came to their questions, she tried her best as they did with her.

At one point, the girls ask her about potential men she could date. And she could only list men from either her workplace or her college. Rihwan was the man she knew best, and wrote more about him than the others. Promptly leading to Chaeeun sending a post back (with cheering emoji's) about how she should approach him. As the way she describes him seems quiet nice. Yoonji says she will but she's very unsure about how to go about it. They decide to exchange numbers and create a group text message to help her on the day she was going to speak to Rihwan as someone other other than co-workers and acquaintances. Needless to say, it was awkward and hilarious. Yoonji kept flickering her eyes back to her phone (which was in her lowered hands) because the girls kept texting her about what to say and asking how it was going. Rihwan was staring at her like she had two heads and asked her what she was doing. Unable to come up with an excuse, Yoonji takes a seat in her cubicle chair (their desks being adjacent from one another) and explains to him about her joining the site and her horrible ways of dating men. Rihwan could only laugh and ask if he was approaching her as someone she wanted to date. Yoonji rejected that and says she was urged by the members to try talking to Rihwan as a prospective candidate. Rihwan says that if she wants extra help with her dating practice, she could try out her flirting methods with him before she goes and does it in person. Yoonji nods as she texts back to the group, relying the information told.

Yoonji, over the next couple of weeks (months, whatever you want it to be), constantly tries out pick-up lines, flirting methods, and conversation starters with Rihwan. At first he found it funny, as she was extremely bad at it and always seemed to be getting mad at herself when she'd say something wrong; but, after a while he found himself actually enjoying her flirting with him to the point he'd flirt back. He was going to confess to her one day about this; but, she came over to him excited and said she had finally scored a date with this guy from her campus. Rihwan could only fake a smile and laugh as she giddily texted the girls. The day of the date, Yoonji forced Rihwan to her dorm to have him look over the outfit the girls recommended her to wear. It's a nice little black dress (the girls said it'd make her look like Audrey Hepburn, especially if she'd tie up her hair). Although Rihwan felt extremely odd looking at Yoonji as something other than just a co-worker (but now as his crush, how juvenile) he told her she looked great and sends her off for her date. The date goes horribly, not even an hour in and Yoonji is texting the girls and telling them about how the guy is a total jerk and won't stop nagging her about how she's being something close to a because of her revealing choice of clothing. Somehow, she manages to ditch the date by escaping through the restaurant's back exit. She calls Rihwan to come pick her up (as cabs cost too much, she doesn't know the bus schedule, and she has practically no money) and he does so promptly. Half of the ride he lets her text the girls, and let herself try not to cry. The other half she's ranting to him about how a guy shouldn't be permitted to say such things about a girl.

Rihwan agrees, and slyly says that he'd never do that. Yoonji ignores him and continues to rant before she ends up calling one of the girls (Chaeeun most likely as she'd be closest to the founder) and crying to her about how big of a failure she is at love. That night, after getting Yoonji to her dorm, Rihwan would try to calm her down by making her some ramen. She would tell him how she needs a guy who can cook because she royally at it. Rihwan asks her why she thinks she's so bad a dating, and romance. Being comfortable with Rihwan, Yoonji admits what happened to her parents marriage and how she fears that she'll wind up like her father. Rihwan reminds her that she could end up happy like her mother too. Yoonji says that her mother is a horrid person and she never wants to be like her. Yoonji not going on another date with mean guy #1 and frantically trying to figure out how to respond to his angry texts. Rihwan takes the phone from her, mid eating, and calls him. The guy answers, nearly screaming, and Rihwan screams back saying something like 'you can't date pricks, you .' and then hanging up (passing the phone back to her). She sits there in awe as he continues to eat. Her RA comes by and peeks into her room, telling her that 'the man' has 'got to go'. When the manager leaves, Rihwan scoffs and tells her she needs to move into an actual apartment to get away from "turds" like that. Yoonji spends the whole night facetiming the girls on her laptop and telling them about everything that happened after her horrid date. One of the girls responds saying that she technically went on a sad sort-of pathetic themed date with Rihwan.

The next few days Yoonji finds it to be extremely awkward to be around Rihwan after the conversation with the girls. Rihwan hasn't realized that she feels that way and just acts like everything's normal. Yoonji refuses to say anything to Rihwan, as she tries to figure out whether or not she likes him. She spends most of her time either working, studying, or texting the girls about what to do. Until one of the girls tells her to get her together, and ask Rihwan on a date. After weeks of contemplating it, she does it. Right after work, and soon after he drives her home, she asks him to go on a date with her (midst awkward stuttering, and confused wording). Rihwan quickly agrees, not telling her that he's been trying to figure out a way to ask her out. Their first date is something corny, like going to the movies. Yoonji spends the whole morning before screaming about her dorm room and asking the girls what to do (maybe they're close enough to where they're all in her dorm room telling her to calm the hell down). Once ready she meets Rihwan outside of her dorm building to find him just as nervous as her (and looking mighty fine). Surprisingly, especially to her, their first date goes great. Though what scares her is the fact that it's a lot like their friendship. Her main fear is that it'll be just like how it always is with her past relationships. That they fall deeper for her; but, all she thinks is it's just a friendship. And that's the last thing she wants; because, she really likes Rihwan.

trivia:
—Rihwan almost never curses so he'll replace curse words with innocent words instead, which makes Yoonji laugh. Especially while texting.
—When they start dating he calls her 'Baby Ji' frequently.
—It's a very teasing relationship (mostly Rihwan teasing her).
—Before they started dating (some time after her first date with mean guy) they'd
unconsciously hold hands while walking around.
—Lots of hand, and forehead kisses.
—First kiss with one another, is probably awkward but funny.

ending: After being scared for so long about their relationship just being a friendship, she tells the girls. One of them, probably the girl who knows love best, tells her that the best relationships are like friendships but with perks. To reassure herself, that she won't turn out like her father. Yoonji goes and to Mokpo to speak to her mother. Something she hates doing. The two have a real talk: filled with yelling, and crying, and sentiment. Yoonji finally gets the guts to tell her mother that she's afraid of romance and doesn't want to be hurt. Her mother tells her that romance is not something you can plan (as Yoonji is the type of person who always plans) but is something you have to go with. If you truly love someone, and if they love you, it'll work; but, if it's just one person loving the other, it won't. Yoonji, in a mess of tears, tells her mother that she does love Rihwan. Her mother tells her that even if they break-up, she'll have faced her fear, and loved someone. And that's all that mattered. A few days later, Yoonji confesses to Rihwan (probably when she's over at his apartment lounging around) that she loves him and isn't afraid to tell him. He only laughs, tells her that he knows, and that he loves her too.
romance
interview
why did you join romance for dummies?: "Because I ...at romance."
what was your first impression?: "Of the group? I thought the idea of it was wonderful for us females who have no clue about anything when it comes to the topic of love. At the same time, I wondered if it was going to be reliable. It could've just been a bunch of internet trolls who wanted to hurt and degrade women like myself or to even give us horrid ideas on what to do."
what is your current impression?: "I love it, after processing it for a while, and understanding each and every one in the group and the same time seeing their struggles (like me; but, different) I came to apperciate everyone that was involved. And I would like to thank Chaeeun for creating this in the first place."
do you get along with the others?: "In the beginning, I was extremely nervous so I didn't interact much with them; but, after a while I found myself becoming close friends with all of them. I feel as if we're all sisters that have extremely tight bonds with one another. Some stronger than others."
who are you closest to?: "I'd say [this is a joke, right?] because, even though she comes off quite cynical, she's very helping. Almost motherly, and I feel as though she's someone I could rely on and go out to drinks with.
do you think they helped you with romance?: "Yes, overwhelmingly. I can't remember who; but, one of the girls called me a 'total newb' in the beginning, and I've now transitioned into 'cool newbie'. Which, I'm assuming, is better...right?"
does your love interest know you're in this group?: "Sadly, yes. It wasn't my intention to tell him; but, I got nervous and overwhelmed that I just told him everything in a panic. It's pathetic, I know. But in those situations I get deadpanned and have no clue on what I'm supposed to do or say."
have you ever considered leaving? if yes, why didn't you?: "No, not really. I mean, I don't have a solid reason to leave, and the girls have all helped so much that I feel it's not necessary. At the same time, I'm not sure what benefits it can bring me in the future. But I'll tag along because I've created bonds with all the girls and consider them friends, good friends."

ending notes
questions or comments: This is a really lovely idea, I'm glad I was able to find this. Some of this may be a little confusing, and if things need to be edited, I don't mind going back and fixing it. So, please do tell me. Thank you for reading all of this, I know it was a lot.

scene requests
bonding time: Once the girls get acquainted with one another, some of them (possibly the older girls like her) decide to meet up in person. In some spot like a cafe that's a half-way mark for everyone. They drink coffee, and talk about their lives. How's school for some, jobs for others, even family life; but, most importantly love life.
drinking: Yoonji is a horrible drinker, getting drunk after one can of beer or two shots of Soju. She doesn't have a car, so she ends up calling someone from her phone and forcing them to come pick her up while she's in her stupid state of mind. Maybe one of the girls or Rihwan. Maybe her dad? Anyone that you think.
family time: Yoonji is forced to attend a family dinner at her mom's house with her mother, stepfather, grandmother, and half-brother. Leading to a lot of awkwardness, and tribulations as Yoonji tries to get through the night without having a panic attack because her family drives her absolutely crazy.
helping. Yoonji actually being able to help one of the girls despite being a total newbie at everything. Maybe the guy is super smart, and the girl needs help with conversation starters so Yoonji (with her dictionary reading for fun mind) writes a five page essay in text form to her. LOL.
