Fixed Bug with Some Fields Becoming Required

There were a couple of fields (mainly image fields) that ended up becoming required today by accident and that should be fixed now. I'm in the middle of optimizing the site code to make it load as fast as technically possible for everyone (Singapore and Malaysia probably got a 10x speed up in some sections).

Part of what I had to do was to re-think how field validations are done so I replaced the old validation script with a new one that doesn't slow page rendering as much as the old one did. On the other hand, that also meant having to replace the old code everywhere where there is a field and there are a LOT of them so I spent most of the day replacing them all. Unfortunately, the process is error prone, hence the bugs we saw today. I went through them again to ensure that there aren't any more fields that accidentally became required but if you come across any more, please let me know in the comments.

And it's only Tuesday...

Hi, there. A lot of us are having this problem where we can only view one page from tags. One of the members in the discussion suggested we add "/20", ("/40", "/60" etc.) at the end of the links, but that doesn't seem to work either. Any suggestions on how else we can be able to view other pages? Is there a new setting that could fix this? If so, please let me know, and I'll be happy to inform the rest of the discussion. Thank you.

Hello, I'm currently having a trouble in commenting on blogs and stories.

Every time I try to post a comment on blogs or stories, I got this "The input value must be between 10-2000 characters". I always make sure that all the word count is above 10 since it's a must in order to post a comment. I saw that many users are able to post the same comment I'm going to post, like "Congratulations on getting featured!" But it turned out I'm unable to post that comment.

Thank you in advance :)

The time zone is a little off. Like if I log in at 7pm tonight, it'll show on my page that I logged in on the 11th when it's still the 10th

I wonder why Singapore and Malaysia has the 10x faster speed like the one you mention?

Thank you for the hard work. I was wondering if we can't hide the number of subscribers anymore? It didn't work on my stories.

I'm sure all of us are extremely grateful for your constant caring towards the users, thank you behalf all of us!
Now off the topic: I stole an idea from another site and maybe it would be interesting to be applied on AFF, too...or maybe not.
Just an idea, though: the reader to be able to upvote on each chapter of the story.
And eventually the voters to benefit for the karma points gained from the chapters upvotes, not the author.
That way the author would gain the satisfaction of knowing that his/her work is not ignored, and the reader would be rewarded for their attention given toward the author. A win-win deal!
