full name  ⇔ CHAE MINA "LEE" → Mina is the name she was given at birth, specifically by her mother. Sadly, she never liked her name and has thus called herself 'Lee' ever since. Thanks to her favorite action star: Bruce Lee. No one, except close family members, call her Mina. If anyone dares to refer to her as this, she'll probably glare and maybe insult them.
 other names  ⇔
PISTOL LEE → Granted to her, because of her sharp tongue and easy roasting tactics. Anyone in a good square mile will disapate when Lee makes an apperance. Scard that she'll either insult them, or talk their off. Maybe even roast them to the person standing next to them.
CITY CHAE → When people found out that she was from Seoul (mainly due to her uncommon accent) they refer to her as this. Usually as an insult, which pisses Lee off and causes her to go into a rampage. As long as you don't call her this, you'll be okay.
 birthdate  ⇔ December 15th, 1982
 hometown  ⇔ Gangseo-Gu, Busan, Korea
 ethnicity  ⇔ Korean
 nationality  ⇔ South Korean

 languages  ⇔
⇒ KOREAN → Fluent → Her native tongue. She speaks with a Gyeonggi dialect, which is strictly hilarious to those in Busan. She compared to the city quite often, as she's from "Seoul" the big-city. Which is why, come her second or third year of living in Busan, she tries to change her accents so people can stop reffering to her as: City Chae.
MANDARIN → Conversational → Instead of taking the typical high school route of taking English, Lee decided to go abnormal and join the half-chinese in the Mandarin langauge classes. Although most of the time she slept through lectures, and found herself sneaking foot to eat into class—she caught bits and pieces here and there to form some what of a sentence structure in her head. Let's just say she writes better than she can talk it.

 appearance  ⇔
1999 → As a young teenager, Lee could be easily spotted with her bright orange colored hair that cut off directly above her shoulders. Her eyes wide-set and the color of a dark copper. Her nose was turned up just a bit. Her lips were always cluttered with red or dark pink lipstick that complimented her hair color, and darker skin tone. Her face was always cluttered with makeup: usually eyeliner, mascare, and eyeshadow. Oh, and lots of BB cream. She felt hopeless if she didn't have makeup on, though there was a never reason for her to need it. It''s not like she was ugly without it. She just felt, uncomfortable without it.
⇒ There was a short period of time, during winter, that she dyed her hair a bright pastel green. It didn't mesh well with her face, or style, so many of her friends made fun of her, calling her 'minty', and she resented it very much so. Near Febuary, she dyed her hair back to her orange tint, and made sure no one would look back at her drastic choice of dyed hair and call her that awful derogatory name.
2016 → Older Lee, doesn't look that much different. Her nose is still turned up to where you can see her nostrils (albeit a tad more than when she was a child) and her lips are usually a tinted red and dark pink. Her eyes are still a wide-set dark copper that contrasts well with her now dark auburn hair that still is the same length. After she entered college, she dyed her hair back to her normal hair color in an attempt to fit in. Not knowing that a majority of students have dyed hair that are colors of the rainbow. Her features have defintetly aged, though she's good at hiding the wrinkles in the corner of her hairs, and on her forehead. Everyone usually thinks she's in her early twenties.
⇒ There was a short period of time where she had given herself the interesting 'pixie cut' that was a fit fuller on the sides and probably looked better than her normal wavy bob. But, it felt odd to her, and quickly grew out her hair to her normal bob. Thus knowing that she only has one fit style for herself, and she's not going to change it any time soon.
 FASHION SENSE  ⇔
1999 → This was definitely the period of time for combat boots, army jackets, baggy pants (usually in dark colors and grays) with even baggier tops that depict sayings that are usually comical but rude and inappropriate. She would wear a vast amount of bucket hats, whenever she could. Despite school policy saying that wearing hats is not permitted. She didn't wear jewlery often, though she did have a locket that she wore around her neck. A locket given to her by her father when she was a child. Again, she pounds on the makeup like tubeware.
2016 → Having gone through what she's gone through, Lee became rather refined with her outfits. Peter pan collared shirts that are of neutral and basic colors. Skinny jeans of one tone, usually dark denim. Heels are her chosen shoes, though usually only two or three inches. And she mainly sticks to wearing coats if she's cold, instead of sweaters. Coats that are usually beige or gray. The only piece of jewlery she wears is a small necklace (not the locket from her father, she had lost that after a while) it's a small black chain, with a silver band strung through.

 ELABORATION  ⇔
#who is that girl? → Picture yourself in a room. Music is blaring off the shaking walls, people pounding their feet against the ground, laughing, talking, singing, and dancing. The lights are dimmed down, and it smells like putrid trash. Yet the environment is fun, and lively that you can't help but be just that. Fun and lively. But no one, can be like the orange haired girl in the middle of the room. Flirting with everyone as she glides around. Laughing and talking with blunt and earnest humor. She's the center of attention. And you come to learn that her name is Lee. Chae Lee. She's nothing special. Pretty normal and average when it comes to the looks department. She offers nothing when it comes to her chest or bottom. How is she so, so popular? You wonder, and ponder. You listen to people's conversations about her. How scintillating and entertaining she is. You come to realize, that this Chae Lee, leaps before she looks. She's headstrong, and dramatic. She fixes her mistakes as she goes, instead of working on them idle on the way. Preparing contingencies and escape plans. Abstract complex, and global awareness and their implications don't interest her. But the new plan to rob and prank the nearest corner store; she's in on it.
#what's so great about her anyways? → Chae Lee, is the likeliest person to create risky life problems; compared to most. Maybe in the gang, she's the second person on the list who has big issues: but it's still up there when compared to normalcy. She lives in the moment and dives into the action. She used to be considered the eye of the storm. She enjoyed drama, passion, and pleasure when she was young. Not for emotional thrills but for her logical mindset. She used to make critical decisions based on factual, immediate reality in a process of rapid-fire stimulus response. After what happened, happened, Lee became a bite more refined; but, she's still the same crazy girl who tries her hardest in nearly anything. That begin said, it's easy to understand how she had such troubles in school. Organization was a challenge. It certainly isn't because she's not intelligent, because she can do well, but the regimented, lecturing approach of formal education is just so far from the hands-on learning that she enjoys. It takes a great deal of maturity to see this process as a necessary means to an end, something that creates more exciting opportunities for her and lead to her getting into a lot of trouble when it came to school and the adult world.  Also challenging is that to her, it makes more sense to use her own moral compass than someone else's. Rules were made to be broken. This is a sentiment few high school instructors or corporate supervisors are likely to share, and can earn Lee a certain reputation. But if she minimize the trouble-making, harness her energy, and focus through the boring stuff, Lee's a force to be reckoned with. Which is how she is nowadays, as she's come to refine herself.
#who is she really? → With perhaps the most perceptive, unfiltered view of any human alive, Lee has a unique skill in noticing small changes. Whether a shift in facial expression, a new clothing style, or a broken habit, she picks up on hidden thoughts and motives where most people would be lucky to pick up anything specific at all. She uses these observations immediately, calling out the change and asking questions, often with little regard for sensitivity. She should remember that not everyone wants their secrets and decisions broadcast; but, sometimes she isn't one for thinking. If Lee isn't careful though, she may get too caught in the moment, take things too far, and run roughshod over more sensitive people, or forget to take care of their own health and safety. This happened quite often as a teenager; which is why people would keep their distance from a risky and unknown person like Lee. She is full of passion and energy, complemented by a rational, if sometimes distracted, mind. Inspiring, convincing and colorful, Lee is a natural leader, pulling everyone along the path less traveled, bringing life and excitement everywhere she geso. Putting these qualities to a constructive and rewarding end is Lee's true challenge.

 PAST  ⇔
⇒ #how did she grow up? → Chae Lee was born as Chae Mina to a young mother, and father who were only in their earlier twenties when they had her. As Lee grew up, she never quite understood why people looked down upon her parents, and her. She was just a kid, and they were just her parents. Life in Seoul, was...well...normal, for the most part. Her mom was a stay at home mom that frequented the food sellers and was one of those soon-to-be 'gossip ahjumma's' while her father was a construction worker for some of the up and coming skyscraper. As a young child, Lee went by her mother's chosen name of 'Mina' and was quite friendly and nice. She was easy to befriend and she was an adorable child. The last thing she focused on, was her mother and father's marriage. Too bad, that that was what caused her to be what she is today. Thanks to her mother's affairs, with a next door neighbor, it sent her father into a frenzy. The wife he loved so dear, was cheating on him? How? How could this be? They loved each other, and they have a daughter. He went crazy when it came to his mentality; before, he spiraled out of control and committed suicide from supposed depression, and "heartbreak". Lee was at a loss. Her mother immediately moved them to the country, and shoved any piece of her father, far, far away. Except for a small locket, and a black book. When Lee was ten, she learned what the black book meant and from that day on: blamed her mother for her father's death. She dropped the name Mina, and told everyone in school her name is Lee. From that day on, she wasn't her mother's daughter and her mother knew it.
#how did she meet the gang? → Lee's relationship with her mother broke, and she found herself distancing herself from her mother's house, to jumping from couch to couch between her friends houses. Out of everyone in the group, she met the girlfriend first. They were (and are) polar opposites. Lee, on one hand, is boyish and steadfast while the other is feminine and conniving. Yet, they got along great. To Lee, that y girl was her best friend. One who would let her stay on her couch on the days she needed most. From there, she met Shinwoo. Not a favorite of hers; but, for the other's sake, she tried to get along with her. And then, it was like ripple effect, from Shinwoo, spawned all the others. Soon enough, she had two best friends, and friends with the considered "Busan Gang". In class, she was easily considered to be the 'class clown' in an attempt to hide her struggles, she'd laugh it off and make fun of herself and others. Thus the spawn of the nickname. Although, the funny one, she wasn't all that friendly. She had her pack of friends, and people who considered her a friend; there was no need for others. She'd watch idly, a cigarette hanging from her lips, as her group of friends would either bully, or forcefully insult others. She knew they were bad kids, and although she knew her father wanted her to grow up as 'perfect Mina' she wanted to be 'pistol Lee' and stuck with the group of bad kids, and became just like them. Much to her mother's dismay and she knows her father is probably rolling in his grave at the sight of her drinking, and smoking. And dating actual guys. More than dating actually. Nevertheless, she enjoyed being her.
#what was her love life like? → Lee didn't have much of anything as a teenager. She'd left her mother, only showing up for certain events, and stayed at her friends houses for probably too long. She only had the shirt on her back, and the shoes on her feet. (Well, also the locket hanging around her neck, and her father's Journal in her backpack.) Love was a foreign subject. Someone had once told her that one of the people she hung around with, had a crush on her; but, she never cared. She had flings, that's it. Until, one day, in the midst of summer before the school days of 1999, she met someone. He was a freshman about to enter college, and she was only seventeen. He was sweet and kind, and wholesome. Everything she used to be. It was so reminiscent of the past. She spent every waking hour with him. And found herself falling for him, deeply. It's funny, she was only seventeen, how does a seventeen year old know anything about love? Well, she just knew. And he knew he loved her too. She was going to graduate soon, once she turned eighteen in the fall. And he was saving up money from his part time jobs to buy a small apartment for the both of them to stay in. She was finally going to have a place to call home, and someone to share that with. She was happy, for the first time in a long time.
#what happened to make her like she is? → The events of 1999, are somewhat unknown to Lee. What she does know, is that her best friend (Shinwoo's girlfriend) was a crying mess a few weeks before. Describing her emotional instability when it comes to her mentality, blaming Shinwoo for everything that has gone wrong since she moved to Busan. She ranted, and raved. For hours on end; before, she crumbled to the floor and stated she was pregnant. Whether it was Shinwoo's or not, Lee doesn't know. All she does know, is that her pregnancy must've lead Shinwoo to go as diabolically unstable as she was. Who knows how he got that gun? Who knows how he winded up being at the same college Lee's boyfriend attends? All she does know, is that one minute she was racing up the stairs to a rooftop of a building, a few others beside her, and the next she's cradling the body of her dead boyfriend. Shinwoo is being arrested, and his girlfriend (her best friend) a crying mess. The only person she had ever loved, since her father, was lying dead in her arms. And all she could do was watch as the life left his eyes, and his soul disappeared into the wandering night of the city. The necklace she wears to this day, is a simple black chain with a silver band on it. The silver band was in a small dark black box in her boyfriend's bag, sitting there. He was going to give it to her as a promise ring that he would marry her one day. She's kept it ever since. This way, she'll never forget him. Though, how could she? She loved him.

 PRESENT  ⇔
⇒ #what happened to Lee? → Somehow, Lee managed to get herself through high school and college. Sadly she needed her mom's help. Which meant, a clinically depressed Lee turned into Mina and became her mother's daughter once again. She dressed how her mom wanted her to dress and acted how her mom wanted her to act. There was never an instance that Lee leaked back into her life. Any mention of past her, turned her into someone she didn't want to be. She became a hysterical mess, and at one point her mother even thought about placing her in a mental institution to help her mental state. College went by fast, as there was never some place she fit into or anyone she could talk to. She had ditched her friends a long time, everyone but the Class President who clung onto her like no one before. Although the two rarely conversed (very rarely) he took it upon himself to keep in as much contact with everyone. He tried to be her best friend, nearly like a family member. Though she always resisted, he always kept trying. Maybe even a little to hard. The Class President has always been persistent with her, and continuously bugging her like it's his job. Updating her twenty-four-seven on any situation involving their pasts or anything going on in her pasts friends lives.
#her life now → There's nothing that special with Lee's life. She's transitioned out of being her mother's daughter after another blow-up. Stopping herself from being Mina, and finally being Lee again. Though, it's only a name, it means she's herself again. She's not as eccentric as herself; but, it's like having a little piece of herself back despite having lost a lot. She has rare connections with her mom, by that, I mean they don't talk except for some holidays. She works for a small magazine company, as an editor and (sometimes) creative writer. She's treated like and looked down upon because she didn't go to some top ranked college; but, it doesn't bug her. Hearing about Shinwoo brings back horrid memories of her past. A series of dark pictures of her beloved boyfriend lying on the concrete floor, is enough to send her running for the hills. Knowing that Shinwoo is back, and being released, is enough for Lee to want break again. She's not sure how she'll be once Shinwoo is released; but, she's sure that it won't be anything good.

 relationships  ⇔
⇒ #pure hate → Hyun ShinwooThirty-six → If there's one thing that's stuck since childhood, it's Lee's immense hate for Shinwoo. She never wants to see him again, and if she does, she's unsure of what she'd do if she saw him again. Probably yell at him a thousand times over, and maybe even smack him over and over again. Also crying, lots and lots of crying. She's not sure if she wants to even have a relationship with him again. He's crazy, a murderer. That's all he is in her eyes. He killed her boyfriend, her loved one. She hates him, seriously.
⇒ #unsure of what they are The Class PresidentTBA → There's only one thing true about their friendship, she finds him crazy. And he feels as if it's his duty to keep everyone together as if Shinwoo didn't kill her boyfriend. She's not sure if she should hate him or not. All she does know is that she doesn't want connections to her past. None. So she tries to keep her distance; but, he always comes closer and tries to act like shes somehow his best friend or family member.

IF THere is one thing you would change from your high school life, what would it be?  ⇒ Lee looks away for a minute, her mind spinning. There's loads of things she would change if she could. "I'd make sure he didn't die." She manages to choke out, as she also tries to steady her breaths.
How do you feel now that shinwoo is out of jail?  ⇒ An overwhelming sensation to vomit fills Lee's body as the depths of her stomach curl in disgust. "Pure hatred, towards him."

⇒ Once Shinwoo gets out of jail Lee puts her trust in both the class president and him. Seeing them as the nicer of evils. She dislikes the girlfriend nowaday, and doesn't have a relationship with the others, nor does she want to.
⇒ Although he's grown up (as they all have) Lee still sees him as that dorky kid from high school who was a pratical mess and was fun to make fun of. She treats him like a child, still unknowing of his tiny old feelings for her. And despite her promise about never dating again, she finds herself falling for him.
⇒ Everything else you can make up or if someone else applies with the tomboy as the love interest, you could combine? Idk.
