Stuff to watch in the Summer Holidays

You wont regret it so watch it already:

Narcos - I think this is my favourite TV show I have ever seen. It tells the story (obviously some people have name changes for reasons) of Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar, and it proves a point that good guys sometimes have to do bad things to defeat the bad guys. Really recommended! Also, there's a new season coming out in September.

City of God - Similar to narcos but it's a movie and it takes place in Brazil. Real must-watch!

Marco Polo - Okay I really love this show but I am a bit salty with how some of the 'real' history of Marco Polo has been changed, probably to make it more entertaining. Still a good show.

Stranger Things - So a few days ago I was on Netflix and I saw this come up and I read the description and already got hooked. It's really good and keeps you wanting to watch it. Seriously. You have to watch.

Look Who's Back - Hitler. Yes Hitler. This is a movie telling the story of when Hitler somehow appears in the modern world. In the end it actually means something bigger than just comedy. At first, everyone takes him as a joke but as the movie continues, you realise how people actually begin to support him and you realise he's no joke. It makes you take account of how people can be led to believe in extreme views and that you shouldn't always dismiss someone as a joke.

Circle - This is a movie where 50 people are put in a torture chamber and one person will be chosen to be killed every few minutes. The people in the movie realise you can vote to pick who dies and slowly it becomes a psychological movie where you see how humans pick who should die. Really good to watch.

Other picks I will assume you have already watched but for the people who haven't, I recomend you do:

  • A Girl Like Her
  • It's Such a Beautiful Day
  • Battle Royale
  • Precious
  • Good Burger
  • Making a Murderer

Btw, all of these are things I watched in Netflix (UK) but you can probably stream it elsewhere.
